2.5 stars. I'm always at the Fairmont Shopping Center, so Guerrero's Taqueria #2 is a natural choice to go to for quickly picking up food, especially if I'm at Banfield. We very rarely go here, though. It had been a very long time, over a decade, since we ordered food from them, so I nearly forgot why they are not one of our usual spots. DJ told me that the food is underwhelming, that's why. I didn't remember this, so I gave them another try on October 3, 2025. We had an appointment at Banfield, but I was starving. So I decided to drop in very quickly for something little and easy to eat while at the vet appointment. The small eatery, of likely a maximum occupancy of around sixty to seventy persons in the dining room, appeared to be semi-clean. Tables looked like they could have used a good wiping, but I wasn't concerned about that since I was ordering take-out. They have a chips and salsa bar at the end of the dining room which looked decent enough to trust the offerings, but, again, the counters could have used a wipe-down. I initially was going to order a taco or two, but decided that a tamal would be easier to eat without making a mess. According to a posted sign at the counter, tamales, sweet corn or chicken, are supposed to be $3.50 each. I say "supposed to be" because despite what their sign says, my receipt shows me that I was actually charged $3.64 for one, plus tax. Not cool. It's only a $0.14 difference, but this should never happen, ever. I recall pointing out the price difference to the cashier to which I was given some bogus response. I was too much in a hurry to get into a debate with her. As for the taste, the flavour of the chicken was not bad, but overall, the tamale was DRY. My tamal had a thin layer of sauce on top and the inside could have used some kind of moisture, either from cheese or sauce. After the appointment at Banfield, for the convenience, I returned to Guerrero's #2 to buy dinner for the family (Super Burrito for $15.08, Veggie Burrito for $13.00, Taco Plate for $18.20 + a Flauta for $3.00, and 2 Large Horchatas for $10.40, totaling $65.58 inclusive of tax). DJ reiterated that the food was meh...and I finally remembered how we found their menu items to be subpar. Service is usually fairly quick and decently friendly, though. I will refer to this yelp review of mine to serve as a reminder as to why we don't frequent Guerrero's Taqueria #2, in case I forget again. read more

I really hate giving only 2 stars, but my fish tacos were VERY salty. It's a shame, too, because this place has a lot going for it. Easy parking, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a decent salsa bar. My friend says this is the best carne asada burrito he has ever had, so there is hope. Located in a busy plaza, this taqueria is bomb! It was $16.XX and if you pay with cash, I believe that you get a small discount, but otherwise you can pay with card. Carne asada fries was so good and look at the cheese pull! So convenient by where I am as well. Can't wait to try other items. read more

This place is very convenient in my neighborhood. I love Mexican food. I had the steak and shrimp burrito. Oh my God it was so good. My husband had the Carne Asada plate. The steak was tender. The beans are flavorful and the rice is perfect so we decided to have them catered for our teacher, appreciation lunch and it was awesome so support this family own business. read more

I usually come here after I finish my grocery run at Safeway and they are the only Taqueria Store in the area. A nice cozy place and not too busy if you want to dine in or just picking up door dash. Most of the time I have no trouble getting a Super burrito and Nachos for lunch in no time. I love how they have the chips and Salsa Bar setup that is really nice presentation, most stores I see don't let you pick salsa anymore. Though it is understandable I totally understand some customers are sloppy and make the workers work harder, so am glad this store allows us. Also I notice the store is very clean, food comes wrap and bag in a nice bag that doesn't fall apart easily, some bags fall apart even before the salsa or food is leaking, thankfully they put some care into their bags too. Burritos haven't changed much since the last time I was here, the only thing that might turn me off is the size of salsa cups. They are too tiny for the spoon and my cravings for Pico and Verde Sauce is very high. The Carne Asada is still Amazing and the black beans or rest of the Burrito hits the spot, but I really wish they could use bigger cups or I buy a drink cup to enjoy my food better. Next time I "ll order a small cup of salsa, not this tiny sample salsa. Other than that I still recommend this Taqueria, Nachos,and Tacos are still my goto dinner if am really hungry and I need to satisfy my Munchies, the price and portions are decent and fair portions for the price. Final score 8/10 for sure The place is clean, employees are friendly, food is great, Salsa and Chips Bar is perfect, uber or ordering is easy, finding parking is super fast, Burritos taste great, no complaints of the Pollo here, the los frijoles de Negros taste great, the chips are hot and crispy before and after you take it out the oven, Rush Hour times seem non existence and any time is a good time to stop by for a bite. If you're near here and want something good and different than you should give Guerreros a chance you won't regret it. Just be prepared to stock up on that sauce and order extra Carne por favor. When you got the Mexican Munchies don't be cheap and scared to tell the Diet Gods Nooooo Am eating this and my Belly is taking each drop of Calorie. heheheheh read more

This place always comes in a clutch! I can always count on it to feed my cravings for quesadillas and delicious Mexican fares. All items are freshly made in house and has the vibe of homemade food. Oh, there is a lush salsa and chips bar that you can have as complimentary sides! I'd recommend bringing cash if you plan to dine here. Credit card swipes can run your bills higher than cash. The front of the house and cashiers run like a well oiled machine! This place is also conveniently situated in a shopping plaza. My daughter knew about this hole-in-the-wall spot for quesabirria tacos, so we headed towards Pacifica to have lunch! It's in the Fairmont Shopping Center with ample parking. There are about 7 tables in this place, but usually not packed. It seems lots of people take their food to-go. QUESABIRRIA TACOS (3) $13.50 ~ They came out quickly and were piping HOT! Dipping sauce is a bit watery but the tacos were good and tasty! 4/5 HORCHATA $3 ~ sweet tasting and good to wash the tacos down! 4/5 They also have a self serve chips and hot sauce/salsa bar. Small restaurant located at the shopping center at Hickey near Skyline. You can't really see it well when driving by because it doesn't face the street. Parking is never a problem here. There are a few tables at the restaurant. There is a chips & salsa bar where you can help yourself. The chips are actually pretty good. I usually get a Super Burrito with black beans and either Carne Asada or Chicken. Their burritos are HUGE. You can see that it is a wide as a dinner plate. The other item I like from here is their Mushroom Quesadilla. The food is ready pretty quickly. I might choose their Super Nachos when I want neither burrito no quesadilla. I've recently moved into the area and wanted to give Gurreros a try! Unfortunately it's kind of a mix bag. I really enjoyed the burritos both breakfast and regular. The salsas were also okay! However the tacos and even chips were just stale and not tasty. I'd come back because the burritos were huge and wallet friendly but otherwise might haven't test out other menu items. read more

The super burritos here are massive! Will have to take a picture next time. Small little taqueria, order at the counter and wait for your order. Been coming here for years and it never gets old. I usually get the super burrito but lately I've been opting for the smaller version, the super baby burrito. The meat options are always on point, there was a few times when I felt that I had more rice that meat, but the burrito was still good. What makes me love this place even more is there are options for my daughter who has food allergies to gluten, dairy, shrimp and soy. We get her the tacos with corn tortillas and carne asada. She doesn't like the seasoning so much so we have to rinse it off. We also got the Caldo de Res soup that's only available on Thursday-Fridays. This is a mexican beef soup that has potatoes, carrots and beef. My daughter loved it, and knowing that it was safe from all of her allergies makes it even that much better. After 20 years I thought I would go back into this restaurant to purchase food. Years ago, 3x my kid got sick on their food. I gave them 3 tries... After all these years, I go in there, thinking I'd pick up something quick, and when they started ringing up my tab, the prices were not what was displayed on their boards. A 3.50 taco was being rang up as 3.64, a side of beans for 3.50 was being rang up as 3.84, and in addition there was tax being applied. I kept telling the guy that the prices are different than their listing price, and he kept telling me it was tax, even though at the end of the total there was another tax applied. NOT WORTH IT! Been buying food ever since they open long time ago and it was delicious all the time .But recently they selling tamales ...so happy they finally sell it and can wait till I got home. The fish super burrito is having less and smaller pieces of fish but still remains the same price at $14.50? Yikes. Fish tacos: very small, plain, & sloppy. The fish is good, but the soft taco only comes with double tortillas, fish chopped cilantro, onion, and mild sauce. Most of the onions and cilantro we're on one side of the fish. Double yikes. I went here the other day for some burritos. I thought it was a good solid burrito as well. For $13, you get a burrito with meat, rice, pico, lettuce, and beans. Plus, they give you free chips and access to their salsa bar. I was happy to see they're still doing their salsa bar after Covid. The burritos took maybe 5-10 minutes to make. Overall, I thought the burrito was good and will come back when I'm craving burritos! read more

If I could give a place 0 stars I would. This is absolutely the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The chips taste like they are store bought, straight out of a bag. We got an array of tacos. All the proteins we had (shrimp, fish, carne asada, and carnitas) were dry and overcooked. I also had a tofu taco and the tofu had an "off taste." I really wanted to love this place: The ceviche is my absolute favorite food, and the vibe here is amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately, my experience took a very unpleasant turn. I ordered the ceviche, and while it tasted fresh and delicious at the time, I ended up getting violently sick just a few hours later. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say it was the kind of night you don't forget. I can't say for sure what went wrong, but I haven't been that sick in years -- and it's heartbreaking because I genuinely liked everything else about the place. For me, It's a great taqueria for their tofu tacos & burritos! Or even better, a fajita tofu burrito. You order and pay at the counter to take out or take a seat to await your order. Orders, in-dining or takeout, is fast and hot on arrival. Love their salsa & warm tortilla chips. As well as their Agua frescas. Their tofu tacos are with a corn tortilla, fried tofu chunks, cilantro, onion, mild salsa. This is a really tasty meatless taco! I usually also order a side of black beans because I love black beans! With the regular burrito, I'll ask for a fajita burrito and ask for the tofu as my protein along with black beans, hot sauce, pico de Gallo (no sour cream). I get funny looks once in awhile but it's really really good! Again an excellent meatless alternative. Their pozole when available is really good as well! Guerrero's is one of my favorite Mexican food joints in the area. I've tried their tacos here as well, and they're pretty good but what makes them stand out is their carne asada plate. For around $17, you get a thin flank steak seasoned and charred to perfection, served with a good scoop of Mexican rice, refried beans, fajita veggies, sour cream, guacamole, and tortillas. Such a comforting meal after a trip to the grocery store. When you dine in, you have access to their chips and salsa bar - I love their red salsa and pico de gallo.
