Finally came back to try something different. I ordered the regular burrito with fish and honey order carnitas plate. Our burrito was huge and honey carnitas plate (lots of meat) Carnitas was not dry. Would definitely order it again.

I was visiting my brother's family in Pacifica and this is one of their favorite spots and now one of my favorites! To start, their service is friendly and the have a solid spread for their salsa bar. They have a nice outdoor patio area but it was sadly fly season so we didn't chance it outside. I will say I've been here once before and ordered something else (honestly don't recall what specifically) but now that I've had their tacos I must sing their praises! I'm a sucker for cabeza (head) and lengua (tongue) tacos and these ones hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and truly a must order if you stop by! Their taco sizes are pretty reasonable (not street taco sizes) so 3 tacos was plenty for me. The tacos came with roasted green onion and jalapeno which were perfection and warmed my AZ native soul. Chef kisses all around! I loved this spot and will definitely be back!

If you're in Pacifica and craving authentic Mexican food, La Mordida is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, lively, and welcoming--like you've just stepped into a hidden gem where passion for great food truly shines. The flavors are outstanding across the board. The tacos are perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients, tender, well-seasoned meat, and handmade tortillas that elevate every bite. Their salsas bring the perfect mix of heat and flavor, and you can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and every dish comes out beautifully presented. What really makes La Mordida special is the overall experience. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. Whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or a relaxed dinner after a day by the coast, it's the kind of place that keeps you coming back. La Mordida isn't just great Mexican food--it's comfort, culture, and quality all in one. Easily one of Pacifica's best spots for bold flavors and a memorable meal.

Had tacos and quesabirria on our visit and it was a-ok. I think we ordered items that were not a specialty for this restaurant this makes me want to come back and try some other menu items.

Great place especially for late night eats. Restaurant kept pretty clean. Service is fast and staff are friendly. Their California burrito is huge. I typically will share that with someone it's so big. Love their crazy fries also. One of my go to spots.

Grab lunch here with friends. Excellent spot for tacos in Pacifica. Authentic tacos and fresh chips and salsa. Always hard to find a taco spot with orange salsa (sorry not sure what else to call it) but that salsa is excellent. Very generous with the meat toppings. The chips are fresh tasting. Service here is great and friendly. Parking is easy with the huge lot. The carne asada is tender and flavorful. Now I know where to get tacos in the Pacifica area.

+ amazing chips and salsa bar, also free + super burrito was very good, well balanced + staff friendly + good atmosphere + outdoor seating - prices are a bit steep ($16 for super burrito) but the chips/salsa bar makes up for it

Friendly staff, clean salsa bar and a good selection of flavors, each done well. I went in to order one item, a super taco. I felt $7 was a little steep for a taco but whatever. I asked for no guacamole and no lettuce, keep the sour cream , cheese and pico. Between the two of us (cashier and I) we repeated it 3 times- no guacamole and no lettuce. I get it to go. When I get home, open the plate- there's guacamole, pico and cheese. I had to throw it away b/c I'm allergic. Extremely disappointed. I will not be going back.

I love this restaurant, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the logo is supposed to be. It looks like a duck wearing a sombrero trying to eat the letter A. Can someone tell me what it is?

The duck is taking a bite, and the way the duck is painted, its face looks like the word "LA" -- so La mordida (mordida = bite) one of the employees explained this to me. She doesn't understand how non-Latinos have so much trouble with this.

I had the smoked salmon panini and my buddy had spaghetti with meatballs. The Panini was good. The French fries were very good. My friend reported that the spaghetti was disappointing. Service was excellent and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. There are not very many tables here, so plan for takeout on the busier nights. I plan to grab something and head down to Winters. Parking is easy enough and if you go for lunch it's a nice neighborhood for a walk afterward. You're just a few blocks from the seawall. Where this place can improve is by giving us a more "home cooked" touch. It's the difference between good cafeteria food and my friend's Italian Nonna making us dinner. Give us that home-cooked Italian comfort. I would have given 3 stars, but that 4th star is because the prices are a good value, and that is important nowadays. However, I would be willing to pay more for higher quality dishes. Give it a try. On my next visit, I will try the chicken piccata.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but the beautiful oceanfront views definitely make up for it. We ordered the tuna melt, a bowl of clam chowder, calamari, fish and chips, two Cokes, and an apple juice. Service was quick, and our food arrived promptly after we placed our order. Overall, the meal was decent, but there were a few hits and misses. The fish and chips were a bit on the dry side, which was disappointing. The clam chowder wasn't my favorite--it was much thicker than expected and had more of a porridge-like consistency than a traditional creamy chowder. The tuna melt was good, but nothing particularly memorable. The standout dish was definitely the calamari, especially paired with the dipping sauces, which added great flavor. Overall, I'm glad we gave Barbara's Fishtrap a try. I'd be willing to return and order different menu items, hoping for a better experience with the fish next time. If you're in the area, it's certainly worth a visit, though I would probably choose Sam's Chowder House down the street if I had to pick between the two.

They're really good at having everything for you to grab after you order - napkins, utensils, sauces, vinegar, etc. Name it they have it available - as well as water!! I typically get their fish and chips but decided to their tuna melt sandwich with fries, along with their fried mushrooms (MY FAV). OMG so much tuna on that perfect roll. With gooey melted jack cheese!! Hubby got their fresh crab sando - forgot to take a pic cause he dove in immediately and devoured it rather quickly!! You'd think the bread would be to hard but the texture with the bread and the filling was SO GOOD and I love they put the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions separate so you can build it the way you want!! And you can get your sauces - which mayo is one that you can add if you want. I've converted to eating my fries with mayo so it's nice they offered that condiment! BUT their cole slaw is our all time favorite - so fresh and flavorful. next time I'm getting extra!! The kids got the cajun fish sandwich and the bay shrimp sandwich. you definitely need to add lemon and sauce to the bay shrimp sandwich - oldest said she liked my tuna over her bay shrimp.... AND did I mention their fried mushrooms? not too many places service this but Barbara does it right. Mushrooms are JUICY and meaty with the right crunch on the outside and not greasy!! Wish they provided more mushrooms though - i should've order two! LOL Our all time favorite place to come eat when we are in the area! OH and their clam chowder.
