My girlfriend and I have been here a couple times (once for breakfast and once for lunch). I remember ordering their torta and it was HUGE. Came in today after playing Yugioh at Anime Imports, and decided to get the California burrito. I thought it was a little suspicious that it was $22, but whatever. I got it pretty quickly, and the thing is the size of my forearm. Massive burrito! I just had a maybe 1/4 of it, and I'm stuffed. This was my first time at La Mordida after passing by a lot. On a rainy Monday night, right after walking in I smelled a musty smell. I think it was from the black rugs they had inside that got wet from all the rain and people coming in and out. Really bad smell that had me running out after getting my take out order. As far as the menu, they have something for everyone. The jumbo spinach wrapped al pastor burrito was pretty oily after unwrapping foil. For the title of jumbo, there wasn't a lot of protein in it. For the super nachos, the guac wasn't fresh. For the amount of toppings in it, there wasn't enough chips. Free chips and salsa. But like others said the salsas have no flavor or spice. First off so everyone knows their Vegetarian Burritos aren't Vegetarian they have Chicken stock in all the rice. You also need to request beans w/out Lard.. So this isn't Vegetarian..Also they fry the chips in the same oil as the Poultry,Pork and Chicken. On Top of everything the Lady at the cashier was not able to understand my order got the 2 Spinach Tortillas wrong on top on not have the knowledge to answer the questions about Vegetarian Orders. Visited this spot a number of times, placing larger orders and they have been a decent experience each time but today's visit was a disappointment. A simple order of a single chicken quesadilla for my daughter should not have taken 20 min. especially when they were calling people who ordered after me to pick up their larger orders 10 min. into waiting. I asked where is my order after 15 min. and I was told it's still being made. 5 min. later another employee is trying to hand me an order that wasn't even mine and when I showed my receipt, he says, no this isn't yours. After 20 min. I was finally handed my little order without any sort of acknowledgement that it took longer than usual. I suspect my order was added to someone else's by mistake and only made mine when I had asked the status of mine. read more

The burrito was a bit too soupy for me, and I thought the carne asada could've had more flavor. This is a pretty average taqueria and you could probably find a lot of these around. Would I go back? Sure. But definitely not in my top 10. read more

Finally came back to try something different. I ordered the regular burrito with fish and honey order carnitas plate. Our burrito was huge and honey carnitas plate (lots of meat) Carnitas was not dry. Would definitely order it again. read more

I was visiting my brother's family in Pacifica and this is one of their favorite spots and now one of my favorites! To start, their service is friendly and the have a solid spread for their salsa bar. They have a nice outdoor patio area but it was sadly fly season so we didn't chance it outside. I will say I've been here once before and ordered something else (honestly don't recall what specifically) but now that I've had their tacos I must sing their praises! I'm a sucker for cabeza (head) and lengua (tongue) tacos and these ones hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and truly a must order if you stop by! Their taco sizes are pretty reasonable (not street taco sizes) so 3 tacos was plenty for me. The tacos came with roasted green onion and jalapeno which were perfection and warmed my AZ native soul. I've tried the burritos, tacos & most recently the camarones a la diabla & for the price and quality I wouldn't recommend this as my go to spot. If speaking local to Pacifica, I'd prefer La Perla or Taqueria Pacifica. The shrimp and chicken burritos are good but a bit plain & the tacos were decent. I was very disappointed with the camarones a la diabla. Two plates plus tax came out to be $50 and there was absolutely no spice to the sauce. It felt like I was eating sweet and sour sauce. I buy camarones a la diabla specifically for the delicious spicy sauce so I was let down. Service has always been kind and quick & and the environment is always welcoming. If this is the only Taqueria that you can go to, I'd recommend getting the tacos or one of their speciality plates. read more

Always hard to find a taco spot with orange salsa (sorry not sure what else to call it) but that salsa is excellent. Very generous with the meat toppings. The chips are fresh tasting. I asked for no guacamole and no lettuce, keep the sour cream , cheese and pico. Between the two of us (cashier and I) we repeated it 3 times- no guacamole and no lettuce. I get it to go. Steak is not seasoned well of flavorful in burritos or quesadillas. They do horverr l have fresh chips and salsa bar.

Got a super shrimp burrito and the shrimp weren't seasoned or sautéed, only boiled with no flavor. All the shrimp seemed to be packed in a lump on one side of the burrito and even tho I got a super burrito it had no guac in it. I came to dinner at this place. The cashier couldn't remember what drink I ordered, so I had to repeat it several times. It wasn't the first time that had happened. The food took too long to come out, but it was okay. After eating, my friend stood up and walked to the cashier and ordered churros. We waited for the churros for 30 minutes, and we thought it was weird that they were taking too long to make some churros. My friend went to the cashier to ask about the churros, and she literally said they were out of churros. She charged for the churros, and she didn't know they were out of churros. She gave the money back, but we waited too long for something that wasn't available. read more
