What a great find! I've never hand Honduran food, but it was the absolute best! Instead of the standard chips and salsa, they gave us a basket of chips with black bean spread, and Fresco cheese. I had the Papusas which was fresh and just the tastiest thing I've ever had. Add in a bottled Coke with sugar cane and this lunch was simply orbital! The place is a hole in the wall in a strip mall, but looks are just deceiving. Go there. Highly recommended!!! read more

Good food variety, good portion, 10% off for military! Brought my partner here for some Central American food (he's Nica) and he enjoyed it. He was expecting the beans to be a better though (said it didn't taste the same as other Honduran beans he's had in Miami). We ordered the parrillada mix plate and great option for trying variety of stuff and there was plenty of food. Some of the meat is a bit dry but the chicken was really good and crispy skin. Everything, from the free chips and bean dip, to the entrees, and the drinks. The quantity of the food is more than enough and the prices are reasonable. I discovered this place while in the area and decided to give it a try. We relocated here from California and the Mexican food I have tried so far has not impressed me. I've found that the ones I have tried so far are overall just ok but lacking in the intense flavor of good authentic Mexican cuisine. This place is by far the BEST!!! They have a pretty large menu with a lot of different items to order. I ordered 2 pastor tacos and one asada with rice and beans. I also got a horchata to drink. The portions were a good size and the meat was so delicious and succulent! The rice was perfect, not to soft and not undercooked. The retried beans were so flavorful and went perfect with the rice! My wife and I ate here on 7/20/23. Food was ok, portions large. Now for the bad news. The waiter brought the check. The meal I ordered was $13.99, they charged me $14.41. My wife's meal was $16.99, they charged her $20.00. I asked why, he said it included tax. Problem is at the end of the bill they charged us 7% tax. Plus 2% for credit card. These people are double taxing the bills. When confronted, he could not explain. He also made no effort to fix. Do not eat here. read more

Prompt service at my table, not rushed to order or finish my meal. I had the bean and cheese pupusas, beef pastelitos, and finished it with horchata. You can absolutely tell everything is house made fresh when you order. The table spacing is perfect, no one is on top of each other while enjoying their meal. The girls are so helpful and wonderfully sweet throughout your entire meal. Go to the counter to collect and pay your check when you are finished. I've never had a Pupusa and this was a game changer. It came out fresh and warm. We went there around 10am looking for a place to eat our late breakfast. And I might say, this made us full till dinner. The right texture, the right seasoning and came along with spicy sauces which we also loved. I don't think I'd get another one like this. This is a great restaurant! Mainly for your Central American/Latin food. Authentic Mexican, Honduran, and El Salvador. Mainly known for their Papusas. We unfortunately didn't get this time since we were not that hungry. Ordered a water and horchata (The original horchata from Valencia, Spain is made from chufa, or tiger nuts, water, sugar and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Got a sweet milk like taste/look; kinda like a sweet coconut milk flavor.) I don't how others restaurants serve it but I thought it was interesting how they serve it to you in a small pitcher with little bit of ice. Nice touch! This is a small restaurant in the Norwood Village Shopping Center off 49N. Pass Dedeaux Road and right off St. Charles street and left into Norwood Village Shopping Center. Don't expect to go there with a large group. You may luck out but don't count on it. They give you a a small of commentary tortilla chips with beans and Honduran cheese sprinkle on it. They also give a sweet hot sauce on the side if you want a little bit more kick. We ordered the Camarones Al Ajio (shrimp sautéed in garlic butter sauce with rice, crinkle cut fries, some greens (iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers) and tartar sauce. Plantanos Maduras ( sweet plantains, cream fresh, beans with Honduran cheese), and churros (stuffed with chocolate or Nutella I think?). The food was super fresh and taste great! The waitress assisted us in ordering since it was our first time there. Service was World class experience! They seating was very comfortable and not couch, but nice. Given we sat in a booth not the center where they had tables but the chairs had cushions on them. It's mainly a Honduran restaurant more so than that of a Mexican/Tex-Mex. I'm not too familiar with the area, but not many places on the coast for that kind of fare. No WiFi as I could tell? They do offer a military discount with ID. Food was excellent for what we ordered. The service is top notch. I wouldn't make a special trip there if driving far away but if in the Gulfport area. A must eat tho. Will definitely be back! read more

I grew up in a home where eating these was common, and being away from home I sometimes crave them! So I was excited to try some pupusas, especially here in Mississippi where you don't see much of these. Doña Blanca is in this small old shopping area. The food overall was good! But it wasn't anything out of this world. That noted, the service was good! But let me break down my rating: Pupusas: 4/5. I recommend the pork, beans, and cheese one! If you don't know what a pupusa is, it's basically like a thick corn tortilla filled with whatever you choose but they are often toasted so they get a little dry. The one I got was crisp on the outside and sides but gooey and delicious inside. Pastelitos: 3/5. I got the beef ones! They're basically empanadas but served with I believe a sour cream sauce and queso fresco. The shell was nice and crispy but the filling was okay. The meat and potatoes had a sweet taste to it so it kinda conflicted me since it clashed with the savory taste of the shell. And lastly the horchata: 3/5. I love me some good horchata! Horchata is usually made from rice water with milk and cinnamon but this one tasted like pumpkin spice? It tasted more of milk and cinnamon than the actual rice. I would probably pass and try something else. It reminded me of like a piece of apple pie to be honest it's hard to explain. But all in all, I would give this place a go if you're willing to change things up a bit for its pupusas! A good place to experience something fresh! read more

Not the safest looking location, but the employees were friendly and the food amazing. I had pupusa and pollo con tajadas. Both were amazing, but way too much food to approach finishing. We tried this place for the first time. We ordered delivery and was told an hour, got to us in about 40 minutes. Having never eaten here before, we weren't sure of portion size (there were two of us eating). We ordered the Parrillada Houndurena, a Papusa with cheese, a Papusa with pork bean and cheese and a Baledas. Wholly crap was it a lot of food, we can honestly get another two full meals out of it (the total with tax was about $44.00) - that is 3 full meals for two full figured adults. All of the food was hot and had great flavor. The only thing neither of us liked was the side of sauce that came with the papusa. Didn't have any real flavor. Overall a great meal worth every penny. This place is the real deal! Super legit, feel like you just walked into a little roadside restaurant in Honduras. We were on our way to Pensacola and looking for a bite, and this place really hit the spot. Delicious pupusas, super tasty desayuno completo ("complete breakfast" - eggs, beans, platanos, avocado, tortillas) and really tasty Honduran tacos. They probably deserve a 3-1/2 star rating. Nice simple decor, pleasant & friendly bilingual waitress. Small location but plenty of tables. She greeted me in Spanish but I later heard her talking to another table in English. They have a refrigerated case with drinks and serve bottled water not tap. Instead of chips and salsa, they bring out to your table - Fried corn tortilla spread w/ retried beans and sprinkling of cheese with side of a yummy spicy green sauce in a squirt bottle. I'm a light weight so I didn't dare eat much of it. It left a pleasant bite on my tongue. I decided to try the Pupusas since they are native to Honduras. I had three Pupusas - stuffed corn tortilla, round and pan fried almost like a savory pancake. They serve them with a bottle of tomato based sauce that you can squirt onto your plate. No spice to it. They were served with a side of cabbage and pickled onions. I had one each of the Cheese, the chicken and the pork. I was left pleasantly full. They also serve fajitas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas among other things. Bathroom was clean, walls painted brightly and inviting orange. The restaurant is located in strip mall and the name is actually Doña Blanca's Pupuseria. Pleasant experience and I'll return to sample the other fare. read more

Well...I'd been dying to try this place. Ended up going 3 times last week lol everything was delicious and fresh. We had the baleada dona blanca each time. We had the pupusas each time as well (the mixta was our favorite). We had the Pastelito con carne molida (Honduran style empanadas) twice. So good. Also had the Platano maduro con carne molida (sweet plantains with ground beef, cabbage, cheese). The cabbage and pickled onions were very good with each dish. We've sent our in laws and friends there. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. The food did not last long enough for me to take a pic lol do yourself a favor and go there! We also tried the coconut dessert for sale on the counter. Tastes just like the top of a Samoa cookie. read more
