Incredible fresh mozzarella. It has some of the water. I can eat it like that as snacks…read more I got casa sandwich on a roll. You can have it on ciabatta. Fresh mozzarella with prosciutto and I believe Sun dried tomato. Very good. I have been visiting Bronx Little Italy for a couple of times but always saw a long line that made me hesitant to go in. This time I came early around 8:30 Am. I was the third person in line. The store is super small especially at the ordering area. There's only small space for one person to stand so it's very difficult to exit while there are people behind you. I highly recommend coming here early before the crowd.

I came here to try their iconic sandwiches, and I am glad I gave it a go! When we got there, there…read morewas already a line outside. However, it was probably about 20-30 minutes before we took our order, so service is definitely fast! Inside is super small, but there are lots of Italian goods around to see. There are also blocks/rounds of cheese you can purchase too. We got The Casa, and ate it outside. Service was so kind and we even got to see them make mozzarella in the back! I don't think this sandwich was my favorite unfortunately. The bread had a funky smell(?) to it, and I feel like it fell a little flat on flavors and textures. Regardless, I am glad I tried and met the incredible team!

A large Italian foods market full of many categories to fill your needs. Produce, cured meats, cheeses, prepared foods, baked goods, coffee, a bar section and even a cigar area. Got some items to bring back to NJ. Afterward i went for a stroll outside onto Arthur Avenue.... Would definately go back to get another fill of my cultural background!!

I've always wanted to come up to Arthur Avenue, so I finally did. They call this New York's "real…read morelittle Italy", and I do have to say, it is much less touristy than Mulberry Street. The Neighbourhood is chock, full of restaurants, pastry shops, meat markets, seafood shops, but the center of it all, is the Arthur Avenue retail market. It's a fantastic place. All of your shopping in one indoor space. You can get your groceries, your Italian meats, your veggies, you can stop in and have a beer, you can buy cigars, they had the only T-shirt shop that I saw up here, when Mulberry Street is full of them. You can get gelato, you can have a good glass of wine, you can have dessert, etc..... I stopped into Mike's deli (separate review) and tried the veal Parm that went up against Bobby Flay. It was excellent. I also stopped in at the end of my visit, to O'ccaffe, (separate review ) the pastry and coffee place right at the entrance to the market. The cappuccino was amazing, but the cannoli was a little bit different. I've always had my cannolis with a crisp shell. This cannoli, had a soft shell. The filling was excellent, but I just would've preferred a hard shell. Other than that, everything was fantastic. This place is worth a visit. Thank you.
