She considers your skin tone along with hair color when choosing the pigment color to use, she measures carefully to create a shape that will enhance your face and age well over the years, she frequently pauses to check the shape and symmetry throughout the application process, she uses high quality needles that apply the pigment cleanly and don't scar your skin, and she keeps your skin numbed well so the procedure isn't uncomfortable. She has done a great job correcting my shoddy eyebrow job done 5 years ago by Winnie with Lashe Love in Durham. I trust Jenice wholeheartedly and I'll keep seeing her for touch-ups as long as she keeps working, which I hope is a very long time! Getting my permanent eyebrow makeup is one of the best things I've ever done for myself and Jenice's expertise and skilled application is worth every penny. Like most of us, we haven't had our faces altered with a sterile scalpel and ink, so the process can be disconcerting to say the least. This is not a thing to have done using a Groupon. Don't skimp. I only went to Henrietta because my friend recommended her and I had NEVER seen eyebrow microblading turn out so well. No Joke. Customer Service: A++ Henrietta is committed to communicating with her clients AND prospective clients promptly, with grace and attentiveness. This is her side-job and passion. Her life goal is to "make women feel and look their best". This shines through in her whole practice. Office Atmosphere: A++ When you walk in, its small and intimate. There is cool-vibe music playing and aromatherapy oils diffusing. Microblading Studio Cleanliness: A+++ I cant even express how clean and sterile Henrietta's studio is. You look around and its immaculate. Its set up like a surgical room (with an aesthetic and warm/comforting touch). Personality: I cant even rate this - off the charts. The aforementioned passion shines through, starting with Henrietta's personality. She is a compassionate woman, and wants to make sure that her clients feel taken care of. She's down-to-earth and relatable. The Microblading process: A+++ Henrietta explained everything that she was going to do. She would map out my face (with her protractor), making sure that everything was completely symmetrical. She measured and measured and plotted the lines. And made sure what she was doing was within her app guidelines (as an extra measure). Went back and plotted again with such precision. Measured again. Made sure that it mapped correctly again. Then showed me what my new brow outline would look like - always letting me hold the mirror so I could see. I was amazed - could my brows really have this shape?? This shape looks amazing, I'm thinking. Once its all mapped out, she numbs the area with a topical ointment and then she gets to work. The initial mapping took about 45 mins (Henrietta is very meticulous). The microblading took a while - about 2 hours. She does one and then keeps refining. Back and forth. "Oh, I just need to do two more strokes right here, and then I'll be happy". "Oh, just one more here, and I'll be happy". She is VERY personally invested in her clients. She knows her clients' satisfaction is her self-satisfaction. After leaving her studio: I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that for the past 10 years I had been filling in my "okay" brows in with idk how many brow pencils, but most recently the Benefit "Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra-Fine Shape & Define" (which is my fave, but looks SOO FAKE!!). I cant tell you how much $$ I've spent on brow pencils, shadows, etc to try to make my brows frame my face. I went home and was scared to look at them. But now, each time I do, its scary how good it looks. And to think that they only look awesome due to a beautiful woman, with a genuine purpose and a steady hand with a blade and ink - making tiny hair strokes above my eyes.

Recently, after reviewing my transaction and comparing pricing, I reached out respectfully to ask for clarification regarding the charge and to address concerns about the results of the work she performed. I outlined my questions clearly and requested that communication remain in writing so there would be no misunderstandings. As shown in the screenshots, rather than addressing the pricing discrepancy or concerns in writing, I was told to "move forward with my next steps" because I was not willing to switch to a phone call. I made multiple attempts to resolve this directly and professionally before sharing this review. My request was simply for written clarification regarding a financial and service concern. I'm sharing this experience for transparency so others can make informed decisions. Based on how this situation was handled, I would not personally recommend her to anyone. What makes a good business absolutely depends on how they handle any arising issues and how they communicate. See for yourself how she handled this and be the judge. 0/10 very disappointed to be honest, I had hoped she'd remain a good person and help me out. :/ I will add that I am in the process of now filing with the NC Board of CAE & NC Health Dept. due to the negligence.

Its a shame I really liked this place, had a pretty great experience getting a piercing done…read more Unfortunately the piercing was the problem, it was done at an angle with the wrong jewelry and a year later still hurts and has a bump now. I've gone back to them for questions over time and been told some wildly different things between their piercers. I've since moved to a different studio and had to have my downsized bar taken out becasue it seems inkvictus downsized mine when it wasn't ready. I've been told my options are to wait it out and live with a messed up job, or let it close up and have it redone. Its upsetting to have a hack job done on your body. It's also come to my attention some problematic practices going in within the studio, I won't be supporting them anymore.

I decided to book an appointment with Bre who has been in the field for a little over two years. I booked powder brows and lash line enhancement (eyeliner). I have a tattoo on my arm so I was super excited to scratch that itch one knows to have after getting a tattoo. When I entered the studio, immediately I was greeted by everyone there. I felt so incredibly welcomed and comfortable. The studio is fun, vibrant, and fun. I felt incredibly relaxed. Bre was AMAZING. We talked about our travels, mostly, which is a favorite topic of mine. She was informative about everything, guided me along the way, gave me a bathroom break, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the 3.5 hours I was there. Numbing cream definitely helped because there were some areas that I was feeling some scratching but it didn't bother me any (honestly, it's an adrenaline rush if anything). The eyeliner was a weird feeling at first but after a few minutes, I was comfortable and my eyes relaxed. Honestly, I expected worse. This was easy! I've been waking up every morning with a huge boost of confidence without even doing my makeup! I go in for an included touch-up next month and I even booked a lash lift and tint for March! I'm telling you right now...if you've been thinking about getting some permanent cosmetic makeup, do it!! Bre was FANTASTIC!!!

The shop is nestled in a cute neighborhood with plenty of shop parking. I didn't bring a +1 but the shop has several sitting areas so I am sure you could bring someone if that makes you more comfortable. The shop also is woman-owned and has all women tattoo artists. Sam was wonderful! I have other artwork on my arm so she took the time to ensure the new piece worked with my existing work and also my anatomy. Her prices are reasonable given her 10+ years of tattooing experience and I enjoyed talking to Sam as I was getting tattooed. The tattoo took about 3 hours and we took 2-3 breaks. After the appointment, she gave me a care package that included tattoo moisturizing cream and wash from Ikonik. Overall, I would love to come back to cover more of my arm!
