I simply shared my experience of how uncomfortable I was made to feel. It's sad that management or an owner wouldn't take a potential customers experience as valid. I felt what I felt. When a sales associate follows you around the store and continually asks you for help every time you touch something it makes you feel unwelcome. Like you should not be touching anything.

Their website advertises differently than what the dress tag says. I paid almost $3,000 for…read moreviscose, cotton, and nylon which is cheap fabric that rips easily. It arrived with a small hole. I even wore nitrile gloves when handling to ensure no snags. Upon reviewing the sewn in tag it said Made in Romania, 100% cotton and viscose. Upon reviewing the website it says "Bust with hand pleated pure silk tulle, 100% Italian polyamide tulle, silk satin lining for extra comfort". I thought this was a primarily silk gown based on the title thus justifying the price. In reality its mainly viscose cotton and nylon (polyamide). I initiated the return via email within the 48hr window and was told to adhere to the return instructions in the envelope. I was responsible for return shipping which I would have been fine with but UPS told me I should call bc of the damage and scam like false advertising with the fabric and price point. So I called this store and was confrotned with hostility and arguments immediately from the store manager who kept interrupting me telling me about their quality control. Well not my problem unfortunately and then she argued again when I mentioned how the tag differed from the online listing on their website. All I was trying to do was get clarity around the 7 day return requirement and if they could cover return shipping bc of the fabric not matching the description and damage and they would not. I am expecting a full refund just absolute unprofessional ultra defensive behavior, false advertising regarding fabrics, and very sketchy return policies. They have 0 customer service and belittle their customers vs standing behind their product. They overcharge for cheap fabrics and use misleading descriptions. They are seriously scamming people selling nylon for thousands of dollars (a type of false advertising scam via misleading descriptions). They then have super strict return policies to try to trap customers. This company is advertising as silk with vague inflated descriptions online when maybe 5% is questionably silk based on the physical product tag. Typical California "designer" scam in my opinion and fits the legal definition for one based on misleading information on their website and strict and pressurized returns policies.

The main owner Pol'Atteu was not present but his husband and partner Patrick Simpson was in the shop along with a white Maltese named Snowball. Both greeted Me and Fendi. It was my first time inside the shop, which was filled with fancy glamorous gowns, similarly worn by the late celebrity icon Anna Nicole, who was a client and friend of this designer. He appeared in several of Anna Nicole's reality shows, which I didn't really follow but am aware of. Although, I didn't make a purchase, I was cordially welcomed and received assistance with a smile. Anna Nicole's story was tragic, but it's nice to know she has friends that memorialize her with the book about Anna Nicole, an icon. The book is filled with pictures of Anna Nicole dressed in splashy sparkling gowns perfect for an icon and this shop is filled with those gowns...perhaps someone you know or for the Icon in You! They fit nicely too -- not the usual "bulky" sweatshirt look. The more upscale clothing pieces they carry are unique -- great printed dresses, outerwear that has some personality, and a solid selection of pieces that are not only stylish and cool, but made very well. The best part of the store is the staff who are all friendly, knowledgable about the line and could qualify as full-fledged stylists. They know what will look good on you and make great recommendations. The service is friendly but never overly solicitous. And I love going in there. Yes, the prices aren't cheap, but neither is the quality or look of the clothing so I'm willing to spend more for something that will last that I love. Abby helped me buy some new pieces for a trip I was going on and the pieces she recommended (that I wasn't even going to try on by the way) are now my FAVORITE pieces that look great on me and I wear all the time. Specializing in clothing (designed by the owner, Nathalie), gifts and little treasures, there's something here for just about everyone. We stumbled in after brunch and were amazed by the variety of unique offerings the shop is nearly overflowing with - designer rubber duckies (we left with "decorator duck"), vintage stripper cuff links, stenciled leatherette checkbook and ipod covers in yummy pastel colors for spring, magnets, soaps, custom aprons (that give Anthropologie a run for their money), some beautiful things for baby, and of course, clothes and accessories. Not all of Seaver's clothes fit my taste, but aside from the super fab aprons that actually make you want to cook, her brocade jackets are beautifully sewn and well worth the price of admission. If you're trying to find a special gift for someone hard to buy for, this boutique is not to be missed - not that you could miss the beautifully painted black and white floral exterior.
