This is my experience with the store for my October wedding in '25. Everything was fine up until I came in for my fitting, Talia, the alterations supervisor who's aggressive gave me a speech of what was going to be done, in a way that was lecture. It was not a pleasant experience and I was taken aback. The next three fittings were confusing because I was told that the fittings would take up to 2hrs, yet they only lasted 20mins, 30mins tops. Hardly anything was done. She could have done so much with that time. The 3rd time I was there, I tried on one of my dresses which I wasn't going to get bustled. I forgot and asked her, "Will this dress be bustled?" Talia aggressively responded, "You said you wasn't going bustle this dress!" Who speaks to a client like that? They way she said that was very aggressive. On the 4th fitting, apparently, they overbooked so Talia disappeared mid-fitting to attend to another client. She almost had some other person help me out. I was given a candle the next time I came as an apology, which I wouldn't have received until I mentioned that I'm concerned about my gowns being finished in time to Sammie, my SA. There were a few times during my fittings and it seemed like she went and took bites of food --- I'm not sure why they said it was OK to come in during her lunch time? The next three fittings I was made to feel like there was not enough time to get things done --- I wonder why? I came in for a total of SIX fittings, which should have been more than enough time. I suggested the "sixth" fitting with the way things were going because it seemed like they needed more time. The plan was to come in at 10am so that they had all day to work on my gowns before pickup day. The next day was the day before my wedding day, my pick-up day. Talia to me to come anytime after 1:30pm and that I didn't have to call beforehand. I told her that I'd be there at 3ish before I head over to my rehearsal dinner. Me telling her 3pm shouldn't haven't been code for you have until 3pm to work on my gowns. That day was for pick up ---- not for extended time for alterations. The point of me giving them a sixth fitting was so that they had the extra 24+hrs to making finishing touches. Talia had told me to come in in the morning for that purpose. Monique must remember me sitting there the day before at 10am waiting for them to take me in for my final fitting because she was there and saw me in Oct. I changed my mind and wanted to pick up my gowns before 3pm so I emailed my SA, but she said because I told Talia that I would come at 3pm, that the gowns were still being sewed even after 1:30pm. What the heck?! First of all, I do not want my gowns to be sewn so last min and it worried me that they were rushing and there would be issues with the dresses. I was worried about the end-product of my dresses so I emailed Sammy back, who I could sense that she had an argument with Talia. If she hadn't, then she sure had a passive aggressive tone in her email that I didn't appreciate. Throughout my fittings, there were two instances where Talia forgot or totally made up something about the next fitting. I don't even remember anymore. I'm the client here. I am a kind person, so I brushed it off until I was disrespected on my pick-up day. I asked my SA to please double check the dress and make sure that everything is perfect. I got no response. Her excuse was that she was busy with a client. I don't care. When I came to pick up my dress, I had to wait yet again, for another 10-15mins until they brought it down. No one apologized --- neither person came to greet me that day. Pick up day should be reserved for picking up the dress not making finishing touches on it because they didn't use their time wisely. Sure enough there were issues with the finished product. I was putting on my bolero - which was never worn btw, two people helping me put on my bolero said that there was a big hole by the buttons. I was skeptical, until J.Scheer, the dress cleaning & preservation company informed me of this as well. This is a bolero that is over 2k. The side bust on the Soleil had issues too according to J. Scheer which shouldn't have been there. I regret buying the most important dresses of my life here. This is not how a luxury bridal store should operate. It's shameful and I wouldn't recommend anyone getting their most important piece of clothing there. Service for me was great until I bought my gowns, and it went down hill during alterations. ML isn't fitting you or having her couture team do alterations. It's a different team. I should've mentioned that my FIL is a world-renowned celebrity --- perhaps then I would have received better service. I shouldn't have to.

We walked into the store and saw a few brides trying on dresses. Ashley welcomed us and asked a few questions on what look I was looking for. I showed her a photo and she pulled a few dresses. She pulled a great selection of ones that exactly suited my style. She also had me try on a few veils with each dress and I ended up saying yes to the dress and veil! They are…read moreexcellent at keeping their online shop updated for what they have in-store with pictures and sizes of the gowns. Their selection of designers is truly amazing. I can't speak to their online portion of the business, with the shipping and try-on-at-home or the selling process, but I can absolutely recommend that if you're looking to buy a wedding dress in SoCal, it's worth it to visit this place in person! It was just me and my mom (someone whose opinion I value but who also trusts that I can make my own decisions), but I think they allow up to four people to come with you. (Choose wisely lol). They also have great tips on their site, and the ones I felt were super helpful were 1- go to a regular bridal salon first to get a feel for the things you like and don't like, 2- size up one or two sizes from what your street clothes normally are, 3- preview their selection online and come prepared if there's something you specifically want to try on. They also send you a questionnaire when you book the appointment asking how you want to feel in your wedding dress on the day of -- which was a really useful question to answer, just for myself lol but I'm sure it helps them pick out some options that might align! Desiree was amazing!! She immediately understood my vision. She was an incredible resource for all of my nerdy material questions, and my questions about the consignment process, what would and wouldn't be possible in alterations, travel tips for transporting the dress, storing the dress, post-ceremony cleaning, etc. It's also bananas how much she knew about the history of some of my dress picks re: the original bride's alterations, off the top of her head! (Or maybe it's written down in their system haha that's probably more likely, but if it was from memory, freakin' kudos!). Apparently, Desiree had worked at the designer of one of my top pick dresses so she also had the lowdown of the business from that perspective as well! I also didn't feel pressured at all, which was so important for me--not just for wedding dress shopping but for all of the choices we've been making for the wedding. It's a small thing, but something I greatly appreciated. The absolute most useful advice Desiree had was about the alterations process and even pricing. She made the caveat that different people would have a range of prices, but for what I was looking for, she would be shocked if I had to pay over X amount. I went to five different alteration places to get quotes, and three of them quoted me pretty much the exact number Desiree had suggested, and two of them tried to upsell me on things I didn't need and charge me three times as much! Obviously, I went with one of the seamstresses that quoted me that starting price, and I was so grateful that Desiree knew her stuff because my people-pleaser self might have just accepted the pricier alterations place without questioning it. I found the gown of my dreams at Loved Twice Bridal, from my top pick designer (Galia Lahav!) at significantly off the retail/custom order price. I received excellent service from an extremely knowledgeable resource. And I made a choice that aligned with my sustainable values. I'm so, so happy with how it all worked out! I just picked it up after alterations (Connie Tao Designs in Pasadena) and I cannot wait to wear this dress on my wedding day! Obviously, my choice of husband is the best choice I've made for my wedding haha, but choosing the dress I did, from this shop - it was a pretty darn good choice for me. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk (Desiree) didn't greet us despite us being the only party to enter. It wasn't until I introduced my name that she then introduced herself. She also made it a point to say "you brought the 'whhhole crew' with you today. Which I was confused about because I had 4 guests which was within the allowed guest count. It was a very uncomfortable encounter. Nonetheless, I brushed it off as I was excited to try on wedding gowns for my November 2025 event. While selecting dresses, I asked Desiree if she could please add one of the gowns to the rack for me to try on. Her response was "but is it actually in your budget?" Woah--did she just Pretty Woman me? When I asked if that was a requirement to try on dresses, she responded no, but since it's a consignment shop they have to be mindful of how many times a dress is worn and they want guests to be intentional about selections. Okay--understandable but set that expectation from the beginning or it sounds extremely judgmental without context. The selection was quite limited as other people mentioned. That said I found a dress with potential and put it on hold. Ultimately I changed my mind about the purchase because I couldn't justify supporting a shop with that type of customer service. I thankfully ended up finding my dream dress elsewhere and ironically it was well over my original budget. But when I tried it on and loved it--I figured it's worth the price. From the glowing reviews I truly hope I'm an anomaly, but I had to share my experience as I hope this behavior from staff can be improved in the future. For many of us, this experience is supposed to be exciting and when we are paying for the experience to try on dresses I think at minimum staff should try to *at least* fake politeness for the one hour we have booked.

Surprisingly, the gown prices were quite comparable! Don't expect a blue light special, but a special wedding day warrants a gown that says, "This bridal gown becomes you." Here's a tip. There is only one Vera Wang gown, that is actually called The Vera. It is completely unique and crafted with sophistication and beauty. Be sure to order it, well in advance of the wedding!
