Dude what's up with sneakers being the new craze lately? This shop was a hip hop, shoe thumping, new and improved Malibus Most Wanted fashion store! It's like a trendy shoe department store that advertises to the Nike pump, Fila wearing, Champion sporting, gold chain, sandals and slides, matching expensive sweatsuit generation. I think there is a name for that fashion trend but I must be too old bc I can't think of the terminology. Anyway, was avoiding the freeway and took service streets from DTLA to the valley. Saw this spot and wanted to stop bc I been looking for some Adidas Superstars in my size of all white. Found em here! This spot has like 5 different rooms to them and looks like a basketball players room at his house with their whole sneaker collection displayed on the walls. Tons of things to pick from. The sales people were nice and even came around the register to hand me my bag of shoes after I paid. Classy! Pretty standard prices here too. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but when you do find street parking, you get to experience Melrose! read more

I normally do a lot of shopping at footlockers but I decided to switch it up and go to shoepalace on melrose. One of the best decisions I've ever made, the amount of love I received from the employees namely Gus, Jason & Steve was unexpected and appreciated more than they could understand. 3.5 stars - the shop itself is decorated very well. It was neat and had a lot of cool decor including graffiti-esque walls, neon lights, and an old school video game machine with street fighter on it. The staff was your typical shoe place staff, very chill and laid back, looking for something to do. The guy that helped me was very nice and constantly checked in if I needed a size. When he went to go grab a size I felt like it took a little long, and he didn't end up coming back with my size. They had a great selection of sneakers, but very limited sizes I feel. Or maybe my size was just a fluke for a lot of them. I definitely would've walked out with a pair had they had my size. The store was also super hot inside, maybe because the glass walls allowed the sun to beam in, but with that considered you would think they would at least crank the AC. read more

This place has a decent selection but terrible customer service. I buy a lot of shoes and am in here frequently. Every time I have bought shoes I have not been told thank you, or have a good day or anything pleasant. The dudes at the front literally ring up sales and every time as soon the sale is complete they go back to personal conversations with other co workers. I have also tried calling here and asking if particular shoes are in stock. Both times the person just says, no or I don't think so, basically to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. Both times I have gone into the store the same day and seen and bought the shoes they told me an hour earlier they had never received or were out of. The staff here care nothing about assisting or being friendly. I like the selection here, but this place blows.. with so many other shoe stores around I try and avoid this place whenever possible. read more

Came all the way from Inglewood to this particular store because my daugther wanted a certain shoe for her Sweet 16 sneaker ball and even tho the shoe she wanted wasn't in stock in her size, the sales associate DAISY WAS THE SH**!! She was so patient and even found shoes for my TWINS that everywhere else was out of stock on! She is a real team player with extraordinary customer service, she set the tone of what great customer service is. Overall the store was very clean and had majority of everything on the shelf in all sizes. I will be back not just to purchase shoes but for the experience! Shoe palace will not stand behind defective products. I purchased a pair of Nike Air Max 270's on their website. After wearing the shoes only 5 times, they developed a horrible gash clean through the upper. I contacted customer service via email including pictures of the damage which clearly show little to no wear, as well as copy of the receipt. I received a one sentence email reply that I need to contact the manufacturer. Nike's process for returns of defective products is extremely time consuming and requires them to me to send the shoes back for an inspection. I have no idea how long this will take, and would much prefer to speak to someone from the point of sale. I called a physical local shoe palace location hoping to speak to someone in person and perhaps be able to take the damaged sneakers into the store, but was referred to the companies 888 number. When I called that I was disconnected twice without ever getting through to a live rep. Simply passing the issue to the manufacturer is unacceptable and shows that this company does not stand behind products they sold that are defective. Given this experience and their totally denial of any accountability for selling a shoddy product, I will not be ordering from or visiting a Shoe Palace for any future sneaker needs. read more

I had a pleasant visit to this store and was assisted by a friendly employee whose name is Ricardo. The store is organized, clean, and they had most of the sneakers in my size! If you're looking for Nikes, Pumas, or Adidas then you will probably find what you want here. There's a separate room for Adidas and there were many styles available. Prices seemed good, but then again I rarely purchase sneakers so I really don't have a comparison. Parking is metered on Melrose so good luck finding a spot! read more

Dropped by here because I saw they were selling my favorite brand, Kappa. Kappa is extremely hard to find in most cities or retail stores. I never really find the good kappa in store, it's usually the bad or older styles. So, when I saw this jacket for $79. I had to cop! I wouldn't have bought it but I was treated so well by Keyana, Leslie & Jonathan. I had to buy! They are super informative, patient & down to earth. I'll def be back because of Leslie & Jon. I guess I was here on a good day. I came in looking for some shoes because my old pair had a hole in the bottom. Walked out with some beautiful brown leather Lacoste shoes, some black running Nikes and a Nike jacket. Customer service was very attentive. The only thing I was bummed out about was I guess I'd seemed like I was in there to buy a bunch of stuff so the manager motioned to one of the customer staff to, I think, put the pressure on me to buy more stuff, which I wasn't interested in. I knew what I was in there for. But beside that, the guy who was helping me before that happened was real nice and got me all the shoes I wanted to try on, which was like 8-9 different pairs. Just stopped by Shoe Palace on Melrose for the first time, and I've gotta say, it is probably one of the best Shoe Palace stores I've ever been to. The location is great, and the store itself has a ton of heat! What I mean by that is that they have all the coolest gear and shoes compared to most Shoe Palace stores I've been to. The staff was also great. Jamie and Jonathan were super amazing! They not only helped me look up an item, but they provided awesome conversation.
