This is a review of my follow up visit, one month after I got my hearing aids. During our…read moreconversation, I described what I'd been doing for use and maintenance of my hearing aids to be sure I had it right. He was satisfied that I was doing all the right stuff during maintenance and use. I discussed battery life which for me is about 66 hours. Around 12 hours a day. Battery replacement is fast and easy. There's a helpful little tool in the hearing aids storage container that gently picks the battery up and allows easy placement in each of the ear units. The manufacturer provided a years supply of batteries too. Every evening before bed time, I remove the aids, take the batteries out, clean the outside of the aids and put everything in it's handy storage case. Before I put them in on the following day, I make sure my ears are clean, put the batteries in and using the TruHearing App in my cell phone, I program them and put them in. It just takes a minute or two at most to do this. The App gives control of the volume in each ear and has settings for special situations. Installation was quick and it's easy to use. Best part, is that I'm hearing things that I haven't heard in years. It's a pleasant surprise. There are plenty of 'how to' and help videos on YouTube if you need further guidance, many are sponsored by TruHearing. As I left the office, I scheduled my next appointment for the same time one year from now. Of course, if there are problems, I'm encouraged to call for whatever's needed. I haven't asked anyone to repeat themselves for over a month, my cars audio is much better and I can hear the birds again. My five star review is the truth.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Becker's. I have been to Dr. Becker too. He ignored my problems as…read morehe ignored hers while she was dying. She died of advanced cardiovascular disease and all the way up to her death he did not bother to even do anything to diagnose it. He let her think that she had back problems and that was causing all her pain and distress. She went into him in desperation I remember about four months before she died when we convinced her that there must be something she could do. He just touched her side said "does that hurt?"then said well there was nothing else he could do.. He only takes the time to work on those he wants to work on. He ignores the others. And I see the comments about his assistant and now he is good but his assistant is terrible. Why does he have an assistant like that if he is good and cares about his patients? When my father was in terrible pain from cancer that was developing in his back Dr. Becker prescribed something right before Labor Day weekend. His assistant did not call it in. And she is like that with a lot of stuff. Also my father needed an MRI from the beginning. He sent him to the physical therapist. Anyone can see there was a problem developing. Anyway when he got the results of the MRI that he finally ordered he waited almost a week to even tell him that it could be cancer. And he said well I'm concerned that it might be cancer. And I looked at the MRI and there were multiple neoplasms. It wasn't it might be cancer there was a good probability it was any need it looked at right away. But he acted like well there was a little bit of a reason to be concerned, probably because he didn't want my dad to ask why he had looked at this sooner. When I talked to my dad during that time he said that Becker did an x-ray and that was good enough. And I said an x-ray of what? And he said his stomach! Not his back. And he waited until almost a week to even get his secretary started on making an appointment at the cancer center. There was something that they tried to do for his back where they injected cement to try to help the pain from the fractures. And he ended up becoming semiconscious the day before his appointment to do that in ended up in the hospital never recovered. And if he had had his appointments earlier he could've gotten relief from the pain before the whole thing got so bad and died a much better death. I have also been to Dr. Becker. He looks only at what he wants to look at shrugs off the rest. Even among professionals in the area he is known as" Do-Nothing Becker.". My mother trusted him and died with no treatment the whole year while she got worse and worse. She was very badly affected and trusted him. It is not alright.
