Very disappointed in their service department. Took my bike in for service before a planned 2000 mile trip. They suggested the 10K service since I already had 8600 and previous service was more than a year before. I was told brake fluid should be changed every 2K miles which seems excessive but OK yes do it. I told them about the trip and not wanting to break down. The bike is a 2018 so not much concern. After 400 miles I found myself stranded in Virginia with no clutch. After 4 hours of getting help and flushing the clutch fluid I was back on the road. After research the clutch and brake fluid are the same so why didn't they recommend changing it. I was told by 2 different service people at EC it's not in the service schedule. Completely WRONG. The Harley dealership who rescued me showed me in my own manual where it's the same. Every 2 years. They even looked up my records and saw it wasn't done since 2019 by Allentown. I lost total faith in EC Service. I called the manager upon my return and he never returned my call. read more

Brought my Road Glide in after getting stranded multiple times. Dealer couldn't replicate the issue but still charged me $150 after a 40-mile joyride on my bike. Then quoted me $1,580+ for tires, pads, rotors -- including parts a second shop confirmed were perfectly fine. Their service manager cursed at me when I questioned the charge. GM also did not offer any fair resoluton. Took the bike to a trusted indie shop -- got honest answers, better work, and saved nearly $1,000. I'll never go back read more

Avoid this dealership, especially their service department. I bought a bike off of them 6/22 and it had nothing but issues. It died on me an hour after I bought it. When I took it back, all I heard was "that's just how they run." "That's how Harley's are." So Harley Davidsons are supposed to leave you stranded on the side of the road right after you buy them? They eventually took it in, and told me I had to spend more money to replace parts they "meant to change before selling. It." Tyler said he'd give me a "great deal" on them, which I found out was 20% above the average market price. It was also running terribly, fouling spark plugs and dumping fuel. The check engine light would flash, and it would sputter, jerk, and stall; throwing numerous codes. It was in multiple times, and their certified tech couldn't figure out that a hose was not only dry rotted on one end, but both! Imagine that! I'm not a "certified master tech", but somehow I figured out what they couldn't, and fixed it for $5, as well as finding a new Arlen Ness intake for way less than Tyler's "great deal." I was also lied to about what engine work had been done to it (Tyler told me it had cams in it, come to find out it had an aftermarket tuner) lied to about ECHD dyno tuning it (All they did was flash the factory tune on and Tyler told me his tech "dialed" it in), and gas lit about other issues it's had since day one. They also didn't check the tires much less balance them, so 1,500 miles after I got it, they told me it needs new tires because they've worn all wonky. That's apparently why the front end has always wobbled. I was told they do NOT check the tires before sale. The bike has died on us hours from home after Tyler promised me it was fixed and good to go. Twice. I had to get it towed home. Twice. So.. what? You buy a bike off of them and you have to take it somewhere to get checked over? More than likely, they do this and assume customers will bring it back to ECHD to pay them 160/hr to fix things that should have been corrected before sale. It's absurd. It's a scam. They do NOT represent the brand in a positive light, and obviously do NOT care about quality or integrity. Every single person I told this story to wasn't surprised. 90% of people either have a similar story, or know someone who does. How is this place even open? The last time I was in to correct the same issues I've had since purchase, there was a kid with a CERTIFIED Sportster that died on him the day he bought it. He got the exact same song and dance I did. They also lied to me about what sissy bar I needed, I assume to try and make me pay double to build one instead of buying the exact one HD designed SPECIFICALLY for my bike. It's crazy. Stay far, far away from ECHD. I know it's a hike, but Baer's is 100 times better. They charge way less for service, and they're honest. I'm only posting this to try and help other people so they avoid the expensive headache myself and many others have experienced. read more

Very satisfied. Brought my sportster in for a wheel replacement. Corey from the service department who gave me my quote, ordered parts and scheduled my appointment was precise and clear and didn't try to upsell me or insist on unnecessary repairs which I've experienced so many times at other places. Everyone on staff was friendly and greeted me while I waited for my bike to be finished. Super comfortable lounge with beverages and snacks made waiting pleasurable as well as browsing through the store's great inventory. The folks here genuinely care about you and don't make you feel like a number. Top notch. Highly recommend. read more

Many dealers are having issues getting inventory so they are buying bikes from private owners. My experience was not pleasant at EC Harley in Scranton. I sold them a bike as I needed the money. The blue book was approx 16k and they low balled me at 13k. I took it and now see it listed for 23k. I know they wont get that much but during the process, I knew they were taking advantage of my situation. So, I at least asked for a $20 uber ride back home....they wouldn't even do that. So they are selling my bike at a $10k profit, but could not go 20 bucks for a ride home. Pathetic...this is the 'brotherly Harley rider' crap the brand promotes. Talk about some cheapass s*&t! It took about 2 hrs more to wait for the check which they could not print so that was additional waste of time (they did send it out soon though). During my wait, I bought a soda from the machine which was $3.20 for a soda. I then had to conclude these folks are some real cheap ass money grubbers and that I would stay out of all Hannum/Electric City dealers in the future. In fact, it turned me off to the HD brand itself and my next bike wont be a Harley Davidson. If you are selling a bike, try to do it privately if you can wait it out. read more

Great Harley Davidson dealership. Very friendly staff. The host was kind and the sales staff was helpful. Me and my Wife came down to visit after a weekend of skiing and we were very pleased. Amanda helped us but the entire staff was friendly. This is definitely one of the best Harley dealerships I've seen in years. Keep it up! read more

One star is a gift! Took my bike for service and for a recall item. They claimed to have changed the oil and skipped the recall item. This set me back $350.00!! When I asked about the price I was told that's a deal! He said that they went over the bike top-to-bottom, but gave no further explanation. I don't know how they did that because they called shortly after they opened for the day, (I dropped it off the night before). Do yourself a favor and learn how to change your own oil or find another dealer!! read more
