The positives: -the person they hired to do the tile did an excellent job exactly to the style I asked -Bradley and Kevin were excellent to work with when eventually assigned to my project The bad: -Lacking onsite management: my initial project manager Mike/Yair showed up the day the project started and never again, despite repeated texts and calls that I needed onsite management support because of ongoing issues. I had multiple not passing inspections and, until was reassigned a new project manager Bradley, my contractor from CaliFirst was never onsite for the inspections. I was eventually assigned a new project manager after I was past the contracted completion date with exposed pipes still visible and multiple inspections not passd. -Poor quality work: multiple aspects of my project had to be completey redone after initial work including: -Wrong type of pipes initially installed -Hot mop not poured to properly drain -Shower floor tiled for incorrect drain type -Shower hardware initially installed incorrectly with hot/cold water in reverse and divertor not working at all -Sink hardware initially installed incorrectly leaking into new vanity -Not respectful of property: I had multiple issues with the workers being inconsiderate/not careful with my property including: -Connecting rooms not sealed/ properly covered resulting in dust and construction debris all over closet, clothes, and bedroom (multiple times during project) -Dry wall dragged throughout home and building leaving pieces and dust everywhere -Trash thrown in yard outside building instead of being removed from property -Carpets not properly covered and stained with insulation fiber glass -Front door repeatly left open despite telling workers we have pets While the final work looked nice and all issues were eventually corrected, the significantly longer project times and need to manage it myself made this an experience I can't recommend to anyone else.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). If you like to stick to a schedule, scheduling with the company and trying to get in touch with them was awful. They would say that they would show up on Sunday at noon, and then never show up and never text to cancel. They would commit to showing up at 9-11am and then text me confused when I wasn't home to let them in at 3pm. I would text and call Sammy or whichever contractor I worked with and they wouldn't respond for days. The job was finished over a month ago and I am still trying to get a receipt, summary of work, and mold test results. They also left the demolition trash in my garage and told me they'd come back to throw it away (they never came back and I had to throw it away). Again, they do great work! But I personally wouldn't schedule with them again because of how frustrating communication and scheduling can be. I encourage them to clean up the logistical side of the house. Hire a scheduler and a dispatcher, send confirmation texts before the scheduling window, and send a text in advance if you can't make it on time or at all. Having the skills to remodel and repair is half of what someone is hiring when selecting a contractor. Being on time, organized, and reliable is the other half.
