I have never written a bad review about anyone. But when I discovered that I not only had to pay to…read moreredo everything this contractor did but I also had to pay to undo what he did, I feel it is necessary to warn people about this person. We hired him to do a few small jobs and he either made a mess or didn't finish or both. One job was to install escutcheon rings to cover the holes under the sinks in the bathrooms and kitchen where the pipes go into the walls. Instead of attaching them to the wall, he just hung them on the pipes, the gaping holes still completely open and visible. He charged us $50.00 for this. See photos. We asked him to seal a white stove top on a white stone counter. We picked out a white caulking. After he made a mess 3 times and tried to redo it, we came home to find he had used a dark yellow caulking. He told us he "hadn't noticed" until he was finished. Yet he had left it that way. It was a mess with yellow caulking sticking out two inches. I am still trying to clean off sticky caulking from all over the stove top. Even simple things were problematic. We asked him to install magnet closures at the top of the bedroom closets. Out of six, five do not work. On his way out one day, we asked him to throw away a small mesh fireplace curtain. He gave us a bill for $20.00 to throw it in the garbage in my garage. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Wrong measurements, sloppy work and a bad attitude are a few more things about this "contractor." We paid him $1000.00 for some small jobs and now we have to have everything redone. Save yourself some time, money and aggravation and hire someone else.

So I called Callahan Plumbing and David came out. Within 2 minutes he discovered there was no gas reaching my water heater because the earthquake shutoff was triggered and shut my gas off to my house. David turned my gas back on and had my water heater back on within a few minutes. I was surprised the gas company missed this issue and called to complain about the tech that was out but I was so grateful to have a honest guy out to help me out and only charged me a $75 service call when some plumbers I have used in the past would have just sold me a whole new water heater.
