Food was good, pho broth was nice, but what took it away was the service, Josh was extremely helpful! With my biased perspective, only had ordered the bone marrow pho and bun bo hue. I think for next steps for the food would be 1. The bun bo hue can use a bit more consideration on ratio of meat to noodles, it did get a bit tiring to eat at the end. (The flavor was personally I think mediocre, the species were not super apparent, the meats, pork blood was all the same monotone soup flavor, the lone fishball was good) Fixes include - offering sauce to accompany meat 2. Interesting spot for Vietnamese fusion. Service was efficient and friendly and they came by several times after we got our food to see how everything was. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars. We didn't order the drinks but they looked interesting but were about $20 for the cocktails. We had the savoury jowl bites, the razor clams and the pork chops with vermicelli. The pork jowls were tasty and quite moist. The razor clams were a bit bland and definitely needed the sauce that they put on it but was quite fresh. Texas style BBQ with infused with viet flavours, what an interesting and delicious concept! The food: we ordered the pork chop with rice, pork jowl, roasted chicken, chicken wings, the BBQ platter, fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and the pho. The pork chop was cooked to perfection, so incredibly tender and flavourful, and I cannot get enough of that rice! I wished the pork jowl was cut up all the through but the slicing wasn't thorough so it was still one giant piece, it was marinated nicely and grilled well. The chicken wings do have a bit of a sweeter coating with crystalized sugar which paired well with the fish sauce marinade and citrusy dip, The roasted chicken was good but the other dishes stood out way more, so I would skip it next time. The fried chicken was really good, crispy and juicy and I don't know what they put in those mashed potatoes but I could eat a whole vat of it. it is SO GOOD! the bbq platter was so well priced (everything on the menu was well priced) - have you seen the cost of bbq at other places in the GTA? The ribs had a jalapeno jam on top imparting viet flavours and they were fall off the bone but not so much that it disintegrated into much. The brisket was well smoked and very tender (check out the smoke ring!). The pho you know was great, they have a sister restaurant specializing in their famous pho. I loved that everything was served with a bit of pickled vegetables which really provided the perfect pairing to heavier meats. Service was really great, staff were very attentive and checked in frequently and made sure we had everything we needed and water was filled. We sat out on the patio and they adjusted the umbrellas to make sure we were shielded from the sun. The inside of the restaurant wasn't very big, so I hope they are able to winterize the patio for the colder weather. read more

Got invited to a F&F event for Electric Piggy's Soft Launch after a hectic day downtown. The initial impressions gives off a dive bar-esque themed smoke house that serves fusion bbq classics such as ribs, brisket and chicken with the addition of "Northern Style" Pho and potentially other Vietnamese goodies (e.g. chicken wings). The restaurant was nicely decorated with lots of parking space but does seem a bit squished in the dinning area depending on where you're seated. 90s R&B can be heard in the background setting the mood which makes this place a good chill spot for late night eats. Lots of staff were around to serve your needs but it was a bit busy so exercising a little bit of patience might be needed. Overall, they were attentive and very warming. Now let's get to the food aspect, I ordered: Pork Side Ribs (2 Rib Serving) - Seasoning on this was tasty and the bbq sauce was very fruity and tangy. A great combo but felt like more of an appetizer for me. I wish the ribs were a bit meatier but solid nonetheless. The pickled jalapeno pairing was quite nice with a great fiery kick. Fried Chicken and Grits - This was my favourite out of all dishes. Well seasoned fried chicken on top of creamy grit paired with a thick gravy. Yummy.. definitely recommend this. Pork Jowl - The Pork Jowl felt like a classic Vietnamese vermicelli plate. Although very tasty pork jowl paired with lettuce, cucumber and picked vegetables.. I felt the amount of pork jowl could be a bit more. Great plate overall Truffle Mac and Cheese - Tasty, creamy and rich! Good side dish to complete and bbq entrees. Regular Pho with Brisket - The pho was a good snack size and at that price you can't go wrong. Although it's like a regular pho the smoked brisket was a nice touch and they have a hearty amount.. will have to try the bone marrow add-on next time. Lastly, with a purchase of any of their soup noodle dishes, a free mocktail was included so we opted for the house special "Electric". Sweet, fruity, tangy and refreshing. Been a fan of Nam so very excited that they opened up Electric piggy which offers some bbq options! Place is not too big so we opted to come right when it opened for lunch. I wanted to try dandan noodles but unfortunately wasn't ready yet at opening. I loved the brisket! It was super tender and flavourful on it's own without the sauce. We also tried the satay beef pho and bone marrow pho. I thought the satay beef pho flavour was really good and a nice twist on traditional pho. Overall, there is plenty of options to choose from and I'm super excited to come back and try other things. read more

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Canada!　my family and I dined in for lunch on Sunday. Even though we arrived at the restaurant 5 mins after it opened at noon, 2/3 of the tables were already occupied. We ordered pho, razor clams and fried chicken. First of all, their pho came with bone marrow and half boiled egg as well as some sauces which was very unique. This pho was the best pho I have eaten. I enjoyed throught the dish as it was packed with lots of flavors. I agree that it is a bit pricier than normal pho but it is worth it. Razor clams were served on a sizzling pan which kept the dish warm. The clams were cooked perfectly with generous amount of toppings. I loved it too. Fried chicken came on a bed of mushed potatoes. I didn't get to eat it as my kids loved it and didn't leave it for me lol I really enjoyed this restaurant and can't wait to try other dishes. Fun and funky place that offers good food and good service. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy was good. We also enjoyed beet salad. It was mixed with papaya, cabbage and pig ears, nice and crispy! Ribs were better than brisket. Bread with durian butter was creative! Too bad place's quite small though.
