Came back to the OG location for some grub after a late night badminton session. I believe this Nam is now open late which is great! Hadn't been back to this Nam in ages since pre-covid basically. Just glancing at the menu, it seems that they ported the menu from Nam 2 over here too. I ordered the dual smoked rib and braised brisket pho with a side order of lemongrass chicken steak on the side. Mannnn, it really hit the spot for a post-workout meal. Came w/ a ton of protein and the meat was sooo tender as well. I've definitely reshaped my opinion of Nam from all those years back when my friends and I noticed the quality going steadily going downhill for a period. It seems that after opening Nam 2 and revamping their menu, the food quality has actually gone back up at this OG location. The late night service is quite good too (it also seems like a pretty popular place as my buddy and I saw a lot of late night visitors).

The food was delicious, really comforting if you are looking for something warm! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is decent amount of seating available, however the parking lot is a bit smaller as it is shared with the other businesses[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It wasn't too busy when we went so the food came out in a timely manner. They also gave us free passion fruit juice to try!

Worth the trip. Only accepts cash and debit. This little restaurant is hidden on the corner of a business park area, but it is well worth going out of the way for. The pho here is amazing. Everything on the menu is great, and you won't be disappointed.

There are two locations to choose from and the one we lunched at was the Richmond Hill location at Leslie and 16. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is not a big place. Tables are long and rectangular so you will often have to share and if you are a small group the only thing dividing you and the group next to you are the condiments and utensils.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu selections include all the usuals of pho, bun and rice dishes. Selection of Thai dishes as well. What was ordered: Dry Butter Crispy Chicken Wings - small Beef Stew with Bread Pho with rare beef, brisket, beef balls, tendon and tripe Wings were good. A little on the small side but crispy and flavourful. The beef stew was really good. Tender cubes of beef and carrot in a rich stew served with a warm crispy baguette and a small salad on the side. You can also order the stew with rice or noodles. Now the pho. Disappointment here. Noodles were way too soft. They broke as soon as you stuck your chopsticks in the bowl. The flavour of the broth was just okay as well. Nothing memorable and slightly heavy on the msg. 3 dishes came to just under 59 bucks.

Went for lunch with some colleagues and had a great overall experience--quick, friendly service and good food. I ordered the bone marrow and beef brisket pho; the broth was rich and flavorful with a generous portion of meat. Unfortunately, the bone marrow itself lacked flavor. We also shared the chicken wings as an appetizer, and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Perfect pho a cold wintery day. Service: Staff are quite busy on weekends and evenings and a numbering system isn't used for the line, but you'll typically get seated in 15 - 20 minutes if there's a line as the restaurant is small and turnover is quick. Food: Every time we've went, we always get the duo beef pho which is definitely enough to share for 2 or more people (for the beef portion), although the pho is on the smaller side. The beef is cooked two ways, which one side being more dry and smokey, and the other being very tender and soft. It's a great combo with the clean pho that is lighter and slightly sweet. The bun rieu cua was also quite light with a hint of tomato and the egg yolk sauce on the crab was nice. The chicken wings are always perfectly crispy and slightly salty and tart, making it a perfect compliment to the meal. Overall: The pho and the chicken wings are always a hit, bun (dry pho) dish (first time we visited) was a bit of a miss.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Was somewhat busy on Friday afternoon but still some seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Polite and attentive staff. Apps - Had the large chicken wings (loaded with garlic and green onions) which the table enjoyed and their spring rolls were crispy good. Main - had the butter beef on rice and it had an egg sunnyside up (though the menu said it would be an egg meatloaf which I was really hoping to get- it did pictures the egg sunnyside up ‍). I didn't make a fuss but few viet restaurants have it anymore. It was still flavourful and saucy. They have a bogo on drinks so we had 2 sugar cane drinks and when we paid, they gave us 2 passionfruit drinks to go. Great little restaurant. Will visit again.

Food is delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Phnom Penh flavours and vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is good. Highly recommend for viet food.

Great service, came during the day around 2pm and got seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tables are more communal seating, so be prepared to share a table with another family or group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order from the menu and write down the number from the menu onto a piece of paper and they collect your order when you're ready. We ordered the sticky chicken wings, grilled pork vermicelli noodle, and grilled pork chop and chicken on rice. I also got the grilled pork chop and chicken on rice for take out. Priced are on par with other vietnamese restaurants. They serve complimentary tea and it had a great light floral flavour. The wings are garlicky, sweet and savoury. The grilled meat had a nice grilled flavour and a good amount of meat for each dish. The chili garlic sauce was a nice top off to our dishes although beware it gets spicy. Delicious food. I'd come again if I'm in the area *tip - free thai iced tea or ice coffee with a Google review. MON - FRI buy one get one free for their iced dessert drinks.

Now that I've been to both Nam locations, I can definitely say this one is better. I felt more at home here and the service was a lot more personable. The food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience of the restaurant was cozy and a medium amount of noise from chatter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, highly recommend to try and especially get the chicken wings appetizer!! You won't regret it!

Stumbled upon this place, since fresh burger was closed! I noticed right away they had banh mi on their menu, so I knew I had to try it. I did not try the Pho, so can't comment on that. Overall: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 - Beef brisket banh mi - 4.5/5 I've tried a bunch of banh mi's in Toronto, but none have come close to the ones I've had in Vietnam... except this one! The flavours aren't necessarily the same as I had in Vietnam, but nonetheless, the best banh mi I've had in the GTA! Although, to be fair, I've only tried like 3-4 spots. Avocado shake - 4.5/5 - usually get this at Vietnamese restaurants, but found this to be a bit better than others! Service: 4/5 - quick and friendly staff... they were just quite busy since it was closing time. Ambiance: 5/5 - a nice mom & pop Vietnamese shop! Clean and quaint! Will definitely be back for the banh mi!

First off - the food in the menu photographs beautifully. The menu looks SO appetizing! I got the vegetarian grilled panini and it was huge!! It also came with a soup (two options, I got the tomato and sweet potato), so at $14 it was a great value. My colleague got a steak and smoked cheese panini which looked incredible as well, and the toppings and sandwiches were just SO fresh. They don't skimp out on the good stuff either, lots of tasty goat cheese on my sandwich...I'm drooling just remembering it! There is a seating area so you can dine in, or take your food to go. It looked nothing like the cheeseburger from Burger Factory that's posted online. The patty was not even thick at all! I received a thin patty which contained cheese but I had to get to the center of the burger to get a bit of cheese oozing out. The rest of the patty was essentially a Mc D caliber patty. If you look at the pic I posted, the meat to bun ratio was also totally off. The bun was bigger than the meat so I had bites where I was literally just eating thick bread and veggies. The cheeseburger photos show big chunky meat patties so I'm wondering if I got an employee who didn't really know what he was doing? I opted for a combo and got mac n' cheese bites as my side. These were exceptionally disappointing. I'm no mac expert but I'd be willing to bet a dollar that they use Kraft dinner in these mac n' cheese bites. Overly salty, overly processed. No dipping sauce, just came with two ketchup packets on the side. For a meal that hit me for over $20 I truly felt ripped off. This combo was NOT worth $20+. I had a double Shack burger from Shake Shack literally a week prior to eating here and that burger was MILES better and way more "gourmet" tasting than this one.

Seemed a little too adventurous for me so I went with their promo at the time which was 2 cheeseburgers and fries for (i think $15). Burgers were 5oz each so you can imagine how full I was. Very nicely cooked, they use a really good quality sesame bun which I think makes a big difference when you bite into the burger. Good toppings and the fries were nice and lite. Not too oily and salty as other places are. A great deal that is probably not around anymore haha. A couple of Saturdays ago, I had the weirdest veal cutlet sandwich that I have ever consumed. This experience made me crave real veal in a yummy sandwich with marinara sauce. My usual go-to veal sandwich place is California Sandwiches. I have the option of hitting Ajax, Vaughan, or Toronto to get my fix. I need at least half an hour to get to any of these locations. I found East Street Sandwiches on Ritual. My eyes zoned into the veal sandwich immediately. I added mushrooms to it, which is my usual way that I like it. I saw arancini on the menu. The last time I had some was last year and it was horrible. The rice was so hard that I peeled it off as if it were the shell of a hard-boiled egg. The filling wasn't anything to write home about. I ordered the meat and peas arancino here, hoping that it wouldn't suck. I had plans to hit Richmond Hill last Wednesday anyway. It was perfect to grab some takeout for dinner before heading home. The eatery is tucked away in a small plaza with Fat Bastard and a few other places. There were guys cleaning the parking lot, so half the spaces were taken. I waited for two cars to leave this parking lot so I could park. One got out quickly. The person in other one looked so confused and was so inexperienced as a driver that I had to wait until this person got her act together. I then backed into a spot and headed inside. The most comforting detail that I saw on the window was that this place has been kicking around since 1978. If a place has been in business for that long, the food must be great. I headed inside. I was greeted by Bruce Springsteen on the wall. It was cool. An older gentleman was behind the counter. He was so nice. I indicated that I had a Ritual order. He handed me a paper bag with my items with both hands. I thanked him. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was pleased to see a human being. I looked so forward to eating my food, wished him a great evening, and headed back to my car. I had one other errand to run. After I was done, I headed home to chow down. I had my veal sandwich first. Delicious! The veal as lightly breaded and had marinara sauce. I tend to like lots of sauce. This place doesn't smother the veal with tons of it. At first, I was concerned. However, the marinara sauce was so bright and flavourful that having less of it actually works perfectly. It was the first time eating a veal sandwich neatly. The bun was perfect. I normally look like a kid eating it without a bib. Not here. Yum! The meat and peas arancino was fantastic. The rice was lightly sticky and so good. I normally don't go crazy over rice, but I loved it so much. It's a decent size. The filling was yummy. The only negative that I can think of was that I did not see any peas. Maybe they were pureed? I couldn't tell. It wasn't horrible, as the flavourful meat filling made up for not seeing any peas. I am no longer afraid to get bad arancini now that I have found this place. Such a gem in Richmond Hill! It's much closer to get my veal sandwich fix here. Huge fan! I'll be back for more sandwiches and arancini. (353)
