I couldn't say enough how I would not recommend this place. Their customer service deserves an F. I originally got my tattoo there and they messed up and added an extra word onto the tattoo and the cost was not cheap the next day. I realized the extra word and I went down and made an appointment to have it covered up, which I was told at that time it would be no charge. Well because of the setting up getting the ink, etc. I went ahead and paid $60 on top of the original 140 once it healed, you could still see the word through the touchup. I made another appointment and ended coming down with Covid so I did not make that appointment. I was more than willing to pay for a no-show fee, but could not get the artist on the phone I kept calling randomly for two weeks and he would never return my call. He ghosted me and that is not how you handle customer service. I would never treat my clients in that manner. I ended up going to another place and they were appalled. By the way I was treated at electric voodoo. I am very pleased with the work that was done to fix the problem and I would highly recommend anchor tattoo downtown Vacaville I was also ready to send two other clients, five tattoos total to electric voodoo. Well they lost out on a lot of money so save yourself and just go to see anchor tattoo, great customer service and beautiful work. read more

Giving EVT 2 stars only because the guy we dealt with was really nice. We called earlier in the day and asked if they take walk ins for piercings. My friend and I both wanted industrial piercings. We were told to come in at 5:30. We arrived right at 5:30 and the gentleman that was tattooing someone greeted us and said he'd give the piercer a call. While on the phone, we hear "not this again. You're always late, blah blah". So we tell him we're gonna go pull cash and come back. 5:45 we're back, and the gentleman tells us have a seat. Another couple comes in and is waiting for the piercer. About 6:20 the tattooer is on the phone again, and tells us the piercer is on his way, he's got some issues with his child's mom, but he is on his way, and should be here shortly. We're like okay, we're gonna go outside and have a cigarette and wait. We waited outside another 25 mins and the piercer never showed up. So we waiting almost 1.5 hours for a piercing that we never got. I've heard great things about this place, i just thought that was pretty poor business. read more

First time to this establishment but I was referred to Matt for piercing by someone I know. The piercing was actually for my daughter who wanted to get her nose pierced. First time meeting Matt, he was hella cool and total opposite of what I read in the review left about him. He was totally chopping it up with my husband and I while he was prepping for my daughter. We talked for a good 15 mins before he actually pierced my daughter's nose; I was actually surprised at how gentle he was with her LOL. She left a happy customer, and I'm definitely sending my son to him for his nose piercing. I highly recommend this place. A friend started my sakura piece on my back spring of 2008. I probably should have waited to get this done, because I was in pain for about a week and a half (I had to lug around a heavy backpack to and from my car to all of my classes the following day -- definitely NOT a smart move on my part). However, he was unable to finish the entire piece because of lack of funds on my part and then he relocated up north, to Washington. I had an outline of my sakura completed, but the tedious task of getting it filled was something that I needed to get done, ASAP. A year goes by, I'm out of school for summer break and I have the time and money to sit through a number of sessions to complete the whole right side of my back of my sakura. Luckily, I had a few friends refer me to EVT. They've had excellent work done here and recommended Phil to me. I was beyond pleased with how he was able to jump right in there and complete the piece in just two sessions (mind you, I laid there for HOURS per session). He used colors that complemented my skin-tone, which is always a plus! My back piece has healed perfectly and have yet to experience any fading. So i got my VERY FIRST tattoo two days ago by gabe and i absolutely love it!!! First of all, let me just say that im the BIGGEST WIMP of all time. I have low pain tolerance and im just a true baby when it comes to any kind of pain, even a damn paper cut brings a few tears to my eyes! Haha. Anyways, it took me a long time to mentally and physically prepare myself for my appt because i was terrified for life! But at the same time i wanted it really bad so i stuck to it and told myself i had to man this one out. Gabe is a great artist and made the whole process so much easier and hes funny too! So that definitely took my mind off the pain. (Tbh, the pain wasnt even as bad as i thought!) He was super chill, and the shop even plays old school music that took my mind off my tattoo process, haha. The ambience all together is just super laid back, i loved it.
