This place came highly recommended to me. I had a small tattoo with a name and a cancer ribbon that I wanted covered plus I wanted to add a dragonfly, the word love and an infinity symbol. Dacoda, the tattoo artist was wonderful through the whole process. He is very gentle and kind. He knew exactly what I wanted. It's like he went inside my mind and tattooed what I wanted. I am more than happy. Thank you Dacoda Glisson. The place is clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend Damaged Lifestyle Tattoos.

I was visiting my parents for my graduation present and for my moms Mother's Day gift, we decided to get tattoos together! We were lucky enough to get Lonny doing walk-ins because usually he's scheduled 4 months in advance! He had an opening later that day, told us to come back and he'd help us out. Needless to say, he is an amazing artist! We had some small little pieces done, but saw some of his recent pieces and they're all amazing! Actually, the guy that he finished up right before us had a red old school car on his inside forearm - He does an amazing job, he owns an amazing shop, and he has a great heart! I wish I lived in California so I could come back here... Thanks Lonny for such a great experience!

Lonny did an amazing job covering a hideous tattoo that I got in Montana. You would think I got the tattoo in the 80s during war or something, but I got it LAST YEAR. It was supposed to represent PTSD, MST (Military Sexual Trauma) and for mental health. Lonny created something beautiful out of something I was embarrassed about. He was compassionate and gentle. It shows in his work. He is also knowledgeable about tattooing on African American or melanin skin. He is so dope! I would recommend him any day of the week! Hands down! I had to hold back tears because I love it so much and it is so beautiful. I have attached the before and after photos!

I went to JB for my first tattoo! I was so nervous, but he made the experience a lot less scary. I went in with a specific tattoo design, but I wasn't totally sure where I wanted it, and I wasn't sure how small/big I wanted it, too. He gave me really great insight and printed multiple sizes so that I could see what the size would look like in different places. I ended up getting it on the insight of my bicep. My friend ended up getting the same tattoo, too, but got it smaller & on her inner forearm. It was a quick tattoo, and he did an amazing job. His line art was so precise! It has healed beautifully! The overall experience was great. I was impressed with the cleanliness & atmosphere as a whole, too. I would highly recommend going to JB!

Went there after talking to Jay and seeing examples of his work, sent him no more than a rough description of what I had in mind. When I got there, he came out and we discussed the concept some more, he measured the space I was looking at and made some great suggestions. He went and drew it out... Hit the ball out of the park. Exactly what I had in mind, got the feeling I was going for 100%. End result, his dedication, skill and concern for what I wanted, got me the tattoo I was needing. Could not be happier! Thoroughly pleased. My husband finally listened to all of my begging for matching tattoos and unbeknownst to me, he had contacted this shop and set up an appointment for the both of us. We were greeted by JB and he helped up design our tattoos and got to work on me first and then did my husbands. I haven't gotten a tattoo in years and was a bit terrified of the pain but maybe with age, my pain tolerance has improved because this wasn't bad at all. I really love my tattoo and got the itch for wanting more immediately. This place was very clean and professional, I would highly recommend. *Note* Although walk-ins are welcome, I would call ahead because they are popular.

This tattoo shop blew me away. I had the privilege of getting my half sleeve done by Kyle Sutton. I showed him the two things I wanted and he created a beautiful color scheme and transformed the thought in my head to something even better. His price in my opinion was reasonable for the amount of work he put into my arm. 10/10 would be back. Loved the atmosphere.

I had an appointment with Kyle, and gave a deposit. I'm in law enforcement and due to unforeseen circumstances (working a double) I was unable to make my appointment. I called three times in an attempt to reach someone which I finally did today. I asked to be rescheduled and was told I had to come in and give another deposit. I understand policy and I truly get it, but seriously it should be on a case by case basis. I'm out $100 and no tattoo. This is just poor customer service. And you don't have to be a jerk either. read more

I drove an hour to get tattooed by Kyle. He is one of the best artist I've ever had work done by. If they do not answer the phone, contact them on Instagram or website because they are busy tattooing and don't have a shop manager to deal with your nonsense. Yes they are booked out for a few months but well worth the wait. Super cool guys and great art. read more

The shop is clean and everything looks and feels hygienic from the minute you walk in, which is a huge plus for me. I got my first tattoos here and it couldn't have been a better first experience. Melissa was new back when I got a few small script tattoos from her. She was professional and sweet and fun to talk to while she worked. She started as an illustrator - I've seen some of her art and she's the real deal. Mac did my back piece, a plum blossom branch. He's also very professional and I liked that he really cared about little details I hadn't even thought of to make sure I got what I wanted. I only had a vague idea of it coming in and his suggestions were great. I get stopped all the time and asked where I got that tattoo, and never hesitate to recommend him and the rest of the shop. read more

Lonny & Kyle went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate our family during an extremely difficult time. Lonny invested his personal time on his off day and invested over 9 hours to tattoo my entire family after the death of my brother. More than being dedicated to his community, his work is phenomenal. The symbol chosen to represent my brother was reworked 12 times over the course of the day and individually crafted for each person. For someone who never thought they would get a tattoo Lonny made me feel sooo comfortable and gave me such great advice in design and placement. I love that I will have a beautiful reminder of my brother with me always. The detail and care Lonny took was truly touching. To piggy back Rick R.'s review, we went in together yesterday after he had spent much of Sunday afternoon touring some of the local shops. I usually plan out a tattoo in advance as well as meet the artist beforehand, so I'll admit I was out of my element as we had the idea for a tattoo only a few days before. When I walked into the shop, I immediately felt welcome and relaxed. Unlike your typical tattoo shop, it was incredibly clean and had a good vibe. We were greeted by the shop owner and Melissa. We were tattooed by Melissa who remembered my fiance from the day before and although the shop wasn't officially open for the day, she met with us and helped us pick out a font for our couples tattoo. She was incredibly nice, personable, and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. While waiting for her to setup, we talked with the shop owner Lonny who was beyond friendly. His young sons were hanging out in the shop and he told us his story and reasons for opening the shop...mainly to create a relaxed environment that helped ease the minds of the seasoned tattooer or someone walking in to get their first one. Not to mention, it was very important to him for the shop to look and feel the way it does so that he could bring his kids by and not worry about dirty floors, etc. Overall, I loved this place. Melissa did amazing work. Our tattoos are healing nicely and the skin has barely raised because of her seasoned technique. I love supporting LOCAL business and am proud to say I have a favorite tattoo shop with great staff that's close to home. I will be back. Thank you Melissa for your patience and great work. This review is a bit late but I really wanted to do another shout out to JB who did another fantastic tattoo! JB did my first tattoo for me and definitely made me want to get more. I texted JB with a couple of references and he told me he would be happy to design something for me. He kept in touch with me to let me know when my design would be ready so I can take a look at it. He sent it to me a couple days before my appointment. I was so happy with how it looked but asked him to make a really small adjustment and just add more wisps which he did and immediately sent another updated drawing of how the design looked. I confirmed that it was exactly what I wanted. I went in for my appointment JB made sure to wipe everything down, make the placement of the tattoo exactly how I wanted it and printed out different sizes for me to choose from. I was in the chair for about 2 hours and it went by so fast. JB talked a bit with me and is so gently that I hardly felt anything. I highly recommend getting in touch with JB! I walked out telling him let you know when the next one is going to be! read more

Okay, so better late than never! Last year I walked into Damaged Lifesyle Tattoo in Vacaville, Ca. I walked in and asked about the best script style artist. not only was it the greeter at the window, but the WHOLE STAFF greeted me as if I was a friend coming to visit! REALLY??!! ...at a Tatt shop??? They all basically have an attitude when you walk in. NOT DAMAGED LIFESTYLE!! They made me feel comfortable, relaxed and IF I had the cash readily available, would have been tatted that SAME DAY!!! I will return, gentlemen. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

I just got my first tattoo (I'm over 80). I can't say enough good things about Damaged Lifestyle. The shop is neat, clean and very orderly and I can't say enough good things about Lonny. When I explained what I wanted, he guided as to size and location on my arm. He was so patient with this old lady and honestly the tattoo didn't hurt at all. I have just recently moved to Vacaville from Okinawa, Japan and this was the first place I stumbled upon. Really nice place- clean and contemporary. After a bad day, I was determined to get some work done on the spot. Mac took me on and gave me a great forearm piece in minimal time. Super clean lines and one of the most painless tattoos I've ever gotten. I've booked another appointment for a couple weeks from now for a more detailed piece on my other forearm. I have the feeling I'll be getting a lot more work there in the months to come. read more

Went in to Damaged Lifestyle yesterday and my fiancé and I were both tattooed by Melissa. She was extremely professional. We came by an hour before the shop opened and she was more than happy to start early. She was very light handed and not only personable but a fun and open person to get tattooed by. While Melissa was getting ready for us (sterilizing, printing the transfer paper, etc.) The shop owner Lonny was explaining to us his reasoning behind building the shop from the ground up, all while we watched his two boys play in the shop lobby. He was extremely welcoming. I was impressed by every aspect of this shop. It's clean, the people are welcoming and excited to tattoo and it's a family environment. I'm excited I finally have found a shop I will go back to time after time (good thing too because I have a lot more tattoos that I want). I did see one post complaining about the pricing. In a rebuttal to that, I checked all over Vacaville and Fairfield for shops. The minimum pricing at Damaged Lifestyle is the same or less than most of the other shops in Vacaville and the hourly rate is the same or less than almost everywhere else in town and if you want good work you have to expect to pay a little more. I will definitely be coming back to Damaged Lifestyle. (I also need to go in and get a T-shirt and sticker for my car.) Thanks Melissa and Lonny. read more

The whole process felt like I was being rushed and they wanted me in and out very quickly (despite no other customers in the shop). I was moved to the small room in the back and every question I asked felt like I was bothering the piercer, giving me short answers instead of helping me to make a decision. The jewelry did not seem properly sterilized, just quickly sprayed down, no autoclave machine. I did not even see the piercer wash her hands. With the unfriendly and unprofessional staff, hot and stuffy room, the piercer's baby crying in the small shop, and unclean practices I chose to leave. I did have to pay $20 because the piercer said she already opened the needle (which was opened before selecting jewelry and marking). Not complaining because I understand those are her supplies, but I wish she waited until she saw that I was ready and comfortable. He pierced my ear and used a clasp earring which I never seen done before but I trust the owner and all his years of experience. Bad idea. Not even a week later my ears were in so much pain and swollen, the claps were so tight they cut the skin on my ears and my skin began to heal around the earring. I had to go to a tattoo shop to have the earring removed. I had blisters near the end of the clasps and my skin over grew the two ends of the clasp to separate the earring from my ear. There was no room between my swollen skin and earring to where we could cut the earring with pliers so spent over 35 minutes trying to remove each ring. I was in the wrist pain I was crying screaming blood was everywhere my entire left side of my jaw went numb and I almost past out cause the pain. My sister came with me and got her cartilage pierced that day as well. Just this morning she sent me a video of two out of three of her piercings were ingrown with the skin in her ear. The jewelry he used was too small and there was no room left for swelling.

The massage was nice but she did not exfoliate my heels. After she thought she was done, I had to ask her to please get the dead skin from a blister from new shoes the week before off. As I left, I had to move around piles of dirt and debris that one of the gentlemen who worked there swept into the pathway. Gross. Not going back.

Mac my tattooist is fucking awesome ..he had a shitty platform to work with .. he went behind a shitty tattoo artist and cleaned his work up and my tattoo presentable again .. by first glance my 1 yr old tattoo, appeared to look 10 yrs old faded in color, lines weren't straight outlines weren't done it was baddddd and to think I paid this douche bag money to this tattoo when I could have just paid MAC to do it right the first time.. So more about Mac .. his style and vision is like no other .. he tattoos very soft and delicate no grinding it on ... we took breaks when I wanted to not we wanted to .. most tattoo guys crave that cigarette or whatever , nope not Mac ... that dude even joked around with my 65 yr old mom .. I think this shop has the best artists. Jennifer h you failed to mention anything about the art, it's amazing and all custom, and all the artists, even though they are busy, are extremely nice and welcoming. These artists wouldn't be so hard to get an appointment with if people didn't like them. Mark, the tall guy is absolutely incredible with his talent. He answers emails very prompt and is very professional. He wouldn't have people coming from all over the bay, or even from other states to have work done if he wasn't good. I love my work, my friends love their work. Next time focus on the important stuff. Maybe you didn't know what you were talking about and so if you dont, then how is he supposed to know? These artists are amazing and busy. Definately too busy to care what you're wearing. Get in if you can, it's worth the wait. read more

He read my review and sent me this "I got your ip address, if you really have a problem come in and see me instead of creating a childish post like this, I know who this is" He is very threatening. I was kinda nervous at first. He has my ladys Id on file. Though he was going to try and hunt us down. Pretty scary at first. Dudes has a dirty shop that gave my lady a horrible infection.
