I was absolutely right, I went last Thursday admittedly a bit nervous as it had been a number of years since I had my last tattoo. He was already prepared with my designs and then it was just a matter of sizing and positioning. Justin was friendly and ensured everything he used was sanitized. As soon as we started, he kept the conversation going. And my anxiety dissipated shortly after that. In less than an hour he completed both my small tattoos. UPDATE: I needed a cover up for so long and kept putting it off. Tonight I had the nerve to just make an appointment and go. I sent a message and Justin responded right away and said he could do it @530. When I got there he looked at the what needed to be cover up and drew what I wanted. An hour and 1/2 later it was done. I make it a point to leave reviews, especially when businesses exceed my expectations. Being that i am a hair stylist, I understand the importance of "word of mouth" and positive reviews. I contacted Justin through Yelp, after I previously made an appointment with another tattoo artist, who had taken my deposit and "ghosted." He was extremely professional, and allowed me to carry our convo onto the Instagram platform. I was able to tell him in detail, what I was looking to get. He then advised me to come in for a consultation, later that week- which i did. At my appointment he customized my tattoo for me, being that i was ultimately going for a full sleeve. We started with a half sleeve (which he angled masterfully on my arm). The shop was clean/sanitary/organized and quiet. We started around 3:15 and by 5:10 he was done. I love when I encounter artists, who have mastered their crafts, and are efficient with time. I'm a "rip the bandaid off" type of girl! Like, Who wants to sit for 17,000 hours getting a tattoo? Lol He did an excellent job, and I would definitely recommend him (and this shop) if you're looking to get ANY type of tattoo! I will post an update picture, once my arm heals- so that you can get the full effect of his artistry. :) I'll be going back in about two months (after the holidays) to get my sleeve finished, and I'll be recommending them to my sisters/clients as well! I'm a little late with my review, my wife did mention my satisfaction in her review though, bottom line is any tattoo I get in Vacaville will be done by Justin. I walked in with 2 ideas for a cover up and had already planned to go with my second choice thinking my first wouldn't come out how I envisioned it. Well Justin was pretty convincing when he explained how he'd pull off my first choice and I couldn't be happier when he did just what he said he was gonna do. My tattoo/cover up is a tribute to my late mother. My wife and I recently got married on my moms birthday and it was important to me to have this change made at a certain time. Justin made it happen and it was crazy how fast it healed. It took 3 quick sessions and was reasonably priced. Justin knows what he's doing and is an awesome tattooist. I cannot Eli eve how horribly I was treated at this place yesterday. I had been wanting to get a small tattoo on my wrist for months and was in Vacaville having lunch with some friends. I passed by this place because they said they take walk-ins so I got up the courage to go in. The guy that I spoke to was named "Shug" I told him the design I had been thinking about and he looked at me blankly. He said he could do it. The person at the front desk made me fill out this long form and when I had finished, Shug came out from his station to come talk to me. I asked how much it was going to cost and the guy at the front desk said it would be $100. Shug glared at me and told me it would be more than $100. The small tattoo I wanted wouldn't have taken more than 10 minutes. I asked how much it would be then and he said $120. I said no problem I'll give you the other $20. He then scowled at me and said you know what never mind, I don't want to tattoo you. I gave him no reason to treat me this way and to tell you the truth, I am so glad I did not let him permanently tattoo my body with his negative energy and nasty attitude. Do not go here. The customer service was so lousy and I doubt they even do any good work. You suck! read more
