Amazing fine line tattoo work! Chris is my go to guy, attentive, informative and really took his time to create the piece I wanted. The shading is crisp, clean, and beautifully done. The piece looks flawless and elegant. The atmosphere was great also and I loved how the staff checks in with each other and supports each others work! I would highly recommend this shop.....as a matter of fact I have my daughter also gets her work done here. (Hand tattoo is my piece and the back is my daughters)

Marcos was so patient with me while I chose my piercing spots. He didn't rush me at all and was very kind. I must've asked him to re-mark the spots 15 times! And then when I asked him to fix one of the piercings a few weeks later, he was very accommodating to do so without question or making me feel like I had to justify it. Marcos was my artist , I could not have been happier with the results ! I credit that to him taking his time and creative freedom . Very smooth experience, very gentle with the needle I hardly felt anything . This isn't my first Tatoo so I'm aware and familiar with the discomfort , but this was the least pain I have experienced ,ever . So if you're worried in that regard , I highly recommend him . Great conversation during the process as well , good down to earth human , so that helped too . Definitely passed the vibe check and skill check ! Super happy as this piece was close to my heart . Got a tattoo with Marcos. Everything from initial contact with artist, consultation/choosing design, the process of applying the tattoo, the pricing ... was all very straight forward and professional. The shop is clean, staff was attentive/polite. Overall experience went well. Highly recommend going to see Marcos. The mall was playing their music obnoxiously loud and the sound bled into the shop, but not much could be done about that. Some might be weary about getting a tattoo from inside a shopping mall, but from what I saw in the shop they have a versatile crew of artists that can do many styles of tattoos. Only gripe was that I wished there were more of the artist's books and flash to look at to get an idea of the type of work they do here. Still, check them out. I am so happy with how my tattoo came out. Will be going back for more work.

Came through the other day and was helped by the talented Marcos. I've got to say he is an amazing artist and an even better human being. He made sure I was comfortable and made the shop feel like a second home. Marcos did an amazing job with this design of his, adding some very very nice and tasteful freehand touches. He didn't rush at all and it still only took 3 or so hours, in my opinion he's efficient. All of the folks at the shop are nice and supportive as well, helping lower the intimidation that some people might feel when walking into a tattoo shop.

I went in for a piercing about two months ago and ran into Alemanonee and got his ig. Booked with him through there to get a tattoo. Tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it. He didn't rush and took his time on making sure I was ok throughout the entire process. Place was clean, employees were friendly and accommodating. I will def be going back for a cover up!!

Second tattoo that I have gotten from Marcos and it was awesome seeing how he had a vision of what I wanted (again!!). He gave me options of different butterfly's/ designs that I could get and also took breaks during the tattoo session which helped a lot. The tattoo took a pretty long time to get it done just cause of the detailing that the design had but honestly I felt comfortable & the whole experience was dope. I even got to take a lil nap hehehe. I recommend tho!! ThankYou Marcos!!

Today me and my fiancé walked in and both got tattoos. Marcos did mine and I am very pleased with how it turned out :). Staff is always super friendly and the shop feels very comforting! 10/10, will be returning and would recommend

I love this place. I called last minute looking for a place to get a simple name tattoo. Ant waited a whole hour for me to come. I got there it was newly renovated and clean! The music was jamming so I was having a singing session in there ! Everyone around was super nice and with great customer service. We did my tattoo . He listened to what I wanted and I was super happy with the results! Thank you so much for making this moment a positive experience !

If i could put 0 stars i would but i can't so I will give one. The place was beautiful and the people were nice but the piercer (Amanda Epperson) was rushing. Couldn't screw the ball on the belly piercing and kept dropping it into a girls bloody belly button. The bar was also not as near long as it should be. They also didn't tell us the price upon getting the piercing. We paid $60 for unprofessional work. Way too overpriced for the horrible experience. Would not recommend!!!

Had such an amazing time at Philthy Clean! I got a nose piercing and an outline of a tattoo! I was a walk-in client. The shop is calm, sanitary, and a friendly environment! The artist added $100 to the price mid session while working on my daughter, which felt very inappropriate. The work still needs to be fixed, but I no longer trust the artist. It was already overpriced, and I was unable to get any response from the owners after reaching out on social media. We are now left disappointed looking at her first tattoo. read more

I've been comin to philthy clean for years. I followed Ryan when he moved from Berkeley to Fairfield. Every artist who works here has so much talent. Each person has a distinct esthetic. Ryan specializes in portraits and always is willing to work with me and my ideas. Ryan has always been super respectful and kind. He's done 5 of my tattoos so far. He's clean, works quickly and pays attention to the tiny details. This review was wayyy overdue. I will always come back and refer friends. read more

Marcos was my artist , I could not have been happier with the results ! I credit that to him taking his time and creative freedom . I had Antonio tat me & I am beyond pleased with what he did ! I came in with an outline & he exceeded my expectations! I love when an artist can be truthful & gimme input on what will not only look better but what is more my style. The staff are truly amazing. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you step foot into the shop & they make sure you've been helped right away. With the lil bit of time I was there, I felt like I was apart of the fam even tho it was my first time being there.. you don't get that with many tat shops / businesses. Nikki did an excellent job piercing my daughter's ears. My daughter is 4.5 yrs old and Nikki made her feel calm and very comfortable, she took her time and didn't rush my daughter. Overall I was extremely satisfied with her service. I just did a walk in and took us right in, after signing waivers and stuff. Price I thought was excellent, $70. I would rather pay that much getting my daughter's ear pierced in a tattoo shop, rather going to the other places that uses a piercing gun. read more

Walked in with a 9 year old, walked out with a pre-teen . Nikki was professional and super welcoming. My husband and I walked in there will our 3 kids to get our 9 year olds ear pierced. Right off the bat we felt welcomed and knew we made the right choice going into the shop rather than a kiosk in the middle of the mall. Thanks Nikki, my boy is feelin himself now. Review specific to ear piercing: I would not recommend for children's piercings. My daughter had a really rough time. The music was very loud we could barely hear what she was saying, it smelled like weed, it was expensive ($73 plus tip), and there wasn't any bedside manner for children. They didn't numb the ears at all. It was slow. They didn't use any backing so she was just pushing the needle through without anything behind it so it was slow and painful. She didn't comfort my daughter at all. There was candy on the counter but she didn't offer it until I did. I just wouldn't recommend this shop all for children. I'm sure it is fine for an adult. read more

So I'm moving to another state and my sister wanted to get matching tattoos. I found this place on Yelp they booked are appointments the same day. My sister got her nose pierced and her belly button ring changed out then came the tattoos. My tattoo artist name was Nico he was funny down to earth and he did an amazing job. I have some other pieces I want done and I will be back to have Nico do them. read more

Chopz is the man. I followed him from his old shop in Vallejo to this gorgeous shop in Fairfield. He is amazing and so talented. He has done 5 tats for me and now he has done tattoos for 2 of my best friends and they are so happy. I will continue to go where he goes and I hope he stays at Filthy Clean for a very long time. I had a septum piercing done here before and they did great! It was wonderful and I loved it, I had it done the first of October 1,2021 I took it off November 11 2021 to give it a little clean and let it soak in alcohol, after that I tried to put it on but couldn't because it went on one side but didn't go fully through on the other side. I waited a couple days so it can heal so I can get it redone since I really loved my first one so I went back in January 2, 2022 to they're shop and was re-pierced by a different lady it wasn't the same one that pierced me the first time it was a different one, she looked so nice and kind so I let her pierced me since I really didn't wanted to judge a person just yet. But after it was done I was speechless since It was too high and I really didn't like it , it was an awful experience and I left the store quickly after I paid because I didn't wanted to be one of those "persons" that argue with the piercer. At home it was painful and 4 days passed by and I couldn't handle the piercing it was so awful and painful at the same time , at nights I bawled my eyes out since she did an awful job with my piercing I wasn't amazed or satisfied with it , she did it all the way high up and I couldn't even clean it right. It was so tight and stuck on the sides and the healing process was so awful for a damn septum , it wasn't the same experience or pain level as the first one since it was so quick and she didn't made me bleed a lot since it was just a nose piercing and mind you it was my first one, but the second woman who did my nose made me bleed a lot , my nose was runny with blood flowing down she tried her best to clean it but didn't get the corners or the edge since she didn't do a good job. After that I got it removed at they're shop again in January the 6th 2022 and I'm shock they left it in the wrong spot since my piercing was all the way high up!! It doesn't even make sense on how lower down my nose has a huge hole!!! After this I'm not coming back at they're shop ever again this last experience I had with them will be the last since they have unprofessional staff members who can't even go a septum!! I'm really disappointed. I had such high hopes for them but after this my opinion on them changed alot!! read more

so this review is strictly for the tattoo I received by Berenice. The day after I got it done I noticed the ink started to "bleed." I was hoping it might go away after I continuously cared for it, but it just got worse. I have plenty of tattoos and I've never had one turn out so badly. She pressed way too hard into my skin to where I can feel my entire tattoo. I'm sad because this is on my body for the rest of my life. read more

I contacted their shop twice - through yelp and by phone and both times they were very helpful. Answered questions I asked and were very informative. Service - I decided to get my nipples pierced and Lauren helped me out and did the service. She was very informative, thorough, quick and super nice! Made me less anxious about the service and made me comfortable. Atmosphere- the shop is beautiful! Very elegant and clean. It looks like they take pride in their business and it truly shows. If you are in Solano county and looking for a place to get a tattoo or piercing completed I need to check this place out that's located in the corner of the mall next to Best Buy close to Macy's and what used to be red Robin we went to this place because my daughter lost her nose ring and had gotten her nose pierced there probably about two months prior to the day we had to go to get her an emergency earring to replace the one she lost in her nostril The young lady was kind enough in the back from the corner of the shop to give her a hand and sell her a brand new nose piercing without charging her the full price but she did say in other circumstances I would have to charge the full amount for your nose to be re-pierced however this time I'm gonna give you a passion lady so I appreciate her taking care of my daughter and reminding her of the lesson she needs to learn, be mindful of dates and timelines for things and take care of your piercings. We will definitely be back to check out the store for other piercings I'm sure and maybe even a tattoo knows I've been looking for a brand new leg one read more

I was skeptical on going here because there are other shops in the area with great reviews but they were appointment only. So I easily walked in on a Saturday afternoon and waited less than 10 minutes. My piercer was Lauren who did an AMAZING job putting me at ease and preparing me for such an intense piercing. Not only was my piercing almost painless, but she was quick and accurate and my jewelry looks perfect!! Thanks Lauren for a fun experience and for being great at what you do! When I first walked in the male at the desk was not very friendly and did not even greet us. We were handed over to the piercers and one asked the other "Do you want her or do you want me to take her?" the other responded "I don't care". At this point I'm don't really feel like a valued customer, I'm just whatever to them. Not one person said hello to me, introduced themself, or even asked me my name. The whole process felt like I was being rushed and they wanted me in and out very quickly (despite no other customers in the shop). I was moved to the small room in the back and every question I asked felt like I was bothering the piercer, giving me short answers instead of helping me to make a decision. The jewelry did not seem properly sterilized, just quickly sprayed down, no autoclave machine. I did not even see the piercer wash her hands. With the unfriendly and unprofessional staff, hot and stuffy room, the piercer's baby crying in the small shop, and unclean practices I chose to leave. I did have to pay $20 because the piercer said she already opened the needle (which was opened before selecting jewelry and marking). Not complaining because I understand those are her supplies, but I wish she waited until she saw that I was ready and comfortable. He pierced my ear and used a clasp earring which I never seen done before but I trust the owner and all his years of experience. Bad idea. Not even a week later my ears were in so much pain and swollen, the claps were so tight they cut the skin on my ears and my skin began to heal around the earring. I had to go to a tattoo shop to have the earring removed. I had blisters near the end of the clasps and my skin over grew the two ends of the clasp to separate the earring from my ear. There was no room between my swollen skin and earring to where we could cut the earring with pliers so spent over 35 minutes trying to remove each ring. I was in the wrist pain I was crying screaming blood was everywhere my entire left side of my jaw went numb and I almost past out cause the pain. My sister came with me and got her cartilage pierced that day as well. Just this morning she sent me a video of two out of three of her piercings were ingrown with the skin in her ear. The jewelry he used was too small and there was no room left for swelling.

(Just to get it over with in one try instead of her freaking out from one piercing and trying to get her to do the other.) She also told me over the phone that depending on my daughter, we would be able to get two people to pierce her at one time, but if she is fussy or cannot be still for very long, it isn't guaranteed that both ears can be pierced at once. Which is definitely understandable. So, 1 pm comes. And I pick out some earrings. Pay. Then we get ready to pierce her ears. My daughter wasn't fussy at all. Just a little curious when they were marking her ears. I was instructed to hold her a certain way. And five seconds later, she got her ears pierced! It was quick and easy. She cried for about 30 seconds. And then she was completely fine. I was then given a rundown on how to properly clean her ears. Then I was on my way! Background Information: I went in asking for one artist and they recommended me another (ive worked in shops and this is common if the artist feels another artist would do better in the style requested) I was not show a portfolio and everything went by fast I gave my deposit and waited. (This was my mistake) I then sent them the image I composed of the tattoo i wanted as well as some references. Whilst waiting for the day to come I noticed that they never asked me to go into detail or explain what I wanted after. Day of the tattoo they showed me a completely different design and did not want to do aspects of the tattoo that I composed. Long story short I received a tattoo that honestly looks like it came out of a chop shop. My issues with the tattoo: Anatomy is completely incorrect and all over the place. The shading is honestly ridiculous. Line work is shakey and blown out in several areas. It looks horrible and anyone can see that. Ive been told SEVERAL times that its a shitty tattoo not once did anyone think it was a good tattoo. Its embarrassing. The owner: After all of that the owner lacks any semblance of accountability. I had messaged the owner (Anthony) to see if we could work something out to fix it. At first, he was very understanding and offered to fix it and agreed with most of my concerns he even had another artist look at it whom also saw the issues with it. EVentually 3 months later I come back in to see what we could do with it and schedule a date to fix it. When I came in this time EVERYTHING CHANGED Anthony was very hostile and essentially gaslit me by all of a sudden saying "it's a great tattoo I don't know why you'd want to fix it" and "everyone in the shop thinks it looks great". Anthony also stated that I missed my second appointment. There was NEVER a second appointment the artist Maggie explained it would take X hours to complete and once the appointment ended that was that so again lying to save themselves (which honestly if you think there was a second appointment I "missed" thats ommision that you agree it looks incomplete or jacked). When discussing how to fix it, I again came up with an image where it kind of showed the direction I wanted to go to fix it but basically it got shot down (this is the second time i got shot down) . He said I'd have to just trust him and refused to draw a idea (he was gonna just freehand it). Even after all of that he asked for a 100$ deposit and stated that it will be 200$ an hour to fix. In no way was I told in the beginning l'd have to pay to fix the tattoo. In Conclusion: I never got it fixed, I wasted my time, and no amount was offered for compensation. This shop doesn't keep their word, is unreliable, and also, they do not care about the client. I was never rude when discussing the issue, I had. I was very polite, and they honestly just took advantage of that. You have a responsibility as a shop on who you employ and yet refused to own up to the blaring issues that came out of your shop.

I asked for a mani/pedi and a guy who I'm guessing might be the manager said no problem. After a few minutes I got seated and maybe 5 minutes later my feet were soaking. Well that lasted the better part of 25 minutes which I was none too pleased about. While this happens at many nail salons that's just an unacceptable amount of time. I'm sure they don't want to turn anyone away as thats lost revenue. But I'm surely not coming back due to this. The manager eventually saw I was waiting a long time and he applied a scrub to my feel/legs and exfoliated my soles. I don't know what the answer is to this issue but many of us don't like to be sitting around waiting for our service. The other downside, I got a person by the name of Van. Who was unfriendly was paying attention to everything but me. And did a terrible gel manicure, so bad I had to ask her to fix issues I could see with the paint. There are way too many nail salons in Solano County, so while the manager did his best it's not cool to let customers sit in the pedicure chairs for more than 10 minutes max. Also pay the cost and have a movie, TV show or current music on your screens.

I'm so beyond thankful to the lovely @MrsPhilthyClean Bernice for the artwork she created for my coverup on my chest. She turned this unfinished, unloved mess on my chest into a beautiful masterpiece. I'm so in love with the detail & the colors. I really appreciate how she took the time to recreate and redesign the roses and the cross so they now look so nice. Bernice is not only very talented, she's also such a sweet soul. She made me very comfortable & laughed at my husbands corny jokes for hours. I truly had a pleasurable experience even tho I'm a little queazy with blood and needles. Marcos gave me one of the best tattoo experiences I've had. From the start, he made me feel completely comfortable--super easy to talk to, genuinely funny, and just a really chill person to be around. He kept checking in throughout the entire process to make sure I was good and happy with how everything was looking, which meant a lot. What really stood out was his attention to detail and creativity. He added some freehand elements that made the tattoo feel even more unique and personal, and you can tell he takes real pride in his work. Marco was super cool! He is really invested into creating a vision with his customers. I went in Tuesday and I literally just wanted a tattoo from an artist that was extremely passionate about their work. He helped me choose a really amazing traditional tattoo! I knew to go to him because I went to 4 different shops asking for their examples. None of them were extremely passionate or didn't have a portfolio in the first place. But Marco! He was amazing the moment I walked in he was already working on his new art so I knew he was passionate. But not only that we mapped out the spaces for future tattoos so I can have a sleeve that flows. By far one of the best tattoo experiences I've ever had. Came in on Friday the 13th right as they opened for my first tattoo. Crystal greeted my mother and I really kindly and made us feel extremely welcome, along with the other client that had come in at the same time as us. She spent time she needed to open the store just to talk to us and talk me out of my first tattoo jitters. Bernice came in soon after and she was absolutely lovely to talk to. It took a short while for them to set up shop, they kept focused on us the entire time! And they quickly got to working on taking care of me and the other woman in the shop. As soon as they were ready they got to work, Crystal did my tattoo and she was very careful and amazing at taking care of my anxiety. I got my belly button pierced.I was a little nervous, not gonna lie. But he was very gentle, and He was very professional. He took his time, and even though i have very tough skin so it took a while for the needle to go through (yall it didn'teven hurt!!!!). He still remained very calm and made sure that the piercing went well... he assured i take precautions with everything and clean frequently! I just got my tattoo on my neck today with Chris he was fantastic. I didn't feel a thing he did it so perfect. I'm very satisfied with My Tattoo and it was very fast. The tattoo shop is clean. They're very respectful and funny as well when I'm there I feel like I'm family treat the customers with respect, very polite and makes you feel like you're at home. I needed corrective lobe piercings - I got the piercing gun as a kid :'( - and always wanted upper lobes too. No time like the present, so I walked in and, twenty minutes later, walked out with proper lobe/upper lobe piercings in each ear. They're mending nicely. I went here to get a tattoo of my mom's last card to me, and I reached out to Marcos after he pierced my nose. Which he also did a fantastic job on I didn't even feel it lmao. 10/10 recommend him for a piercer as well. BUT he took his time helping me figure out sizing, placement with super helpful insight for how it'll heal over time. I appreciate his patience with me as well. I had Nikki do my nose piercing and she was AMAZING!! The piercing process itself was quick and fairly painless! After piercing she took time to instruct me on how to properly care for and clean my new nose piercing. She even gave me a paper to take home that had instructions and care information with her phone number on it in case I had any questions. I highly recommend Nikki at Philthy Clean Tattoo!! I came in for my nipple piercings and came out very satisfied. I will admit I was very nervous and worried I would have to show my chichi's to a weirdo ,but it was the total opposite. The piercer Handz made my bf and I feel really comfortable. He talked me through the whole process while reassuring I was comfortable. 20/10 service , would really recommend you to ask for Handz to service you. read more

Mr. Handz is amazing! My friend and I came in to get two separate piercings, I got my helix pierced and she got her nipples pierced. He went out of his way to make sure everything was organized and sanitary as well as making sure we were both comfortable. The piercing process was quick and he was very comforting the entire time. The girl at the counter is super sweet and good to talk to, she's very kind and gives the place a good vibe when you walk in! They are VERY clean and have amazing artists as well as piercings and tooth gems! I got tattooedfor the first time recently by chopz! He's a cool person and made the process very easy for me! I cannot recommend Chris enough!! My friend and I wanted a last minute tattoo. I dm'd him on Instagram and he got back to me within 30 minutes and was able to get me in. I loved the studio. It was quiet while still listening to music. I love to have silent appointments and it was just that. I will definitely be coming back for more tattoos!!! read more

Martin did an amazing job on my tattoo. We had a great four hours of laughs and convo, wouldn't mind getting another tat done by him!! The tattoo came out beautiful. He really put his time into the detail and wanted the tattoo to come out as if it was his own. I love it so much !! read more
