He pierced my ear and used a clasp earring which I never seen done before but I trust the owner and all his years of experience. Bad idea. Not even a week later my ears were in so much pain and swollen, the claps were so tight they cut the skin on my ears and my skin began to heal around the earring. I had to go to a tattoo shop to have the earring removed. I had blisters near the end of the clasps and my skin over grew the two ends of the clasp to separate the earring from my ear. There was no room between my swollen skin and earring to where we could cut the earring with pliers so spent over 35 minutes trying to remove each ring. I was in the wrist pain I was crying screaming blood was everywhere my entire left side of my jaw went numb and I almost past out cause the pain. My sister came with me and got her cartilage pierced that day as well. Just this morning she sent me a video of two out of three of her piercings were ingrown with the skin in her ear. The jewelry he used was too small and there was no room left for swelling.

The whole studio is set up creatively and each artist has their own decorative station. My most recent visit was with Justin, or @fatttattz on instagram. Justin was very patient, detailed, and thorough. After drawing out the original stencil design, he suggested to switch and flip the butterflies so it wouldn't be so "top heavy", and also advised that we should do a stipple effect on the vines so that it gave a more feminie look and that over time, the ink wouldn't look so harsh. He even decided to shade the butterflies for more definition and to blend the piece together. I am SO GLAD he gave his professional input and that I listened to him!!! I think it came out gorgeous and Im more than happy with how it all came out. He made sure to check in through out the whole process and he was hilarious!! I highly recommend JUSTIN !!! I already had an infection from a botched job somewhere else plus a not so smart er doctor my nipple where Swollen, angry, red as hell--I thought I'd have to rip them out myself. Unfortunately, that confidence didn't translate into results. He clearly didn't understand the blending or flow required for the piece, and what should have been a smooth, cohesive design ended up disjointed and awkward. It's cost me thousands of dollars to have other artists fix and cover parts of his work -- money and time I never should've had to spend. If you're after American Traditional, Richard might be a solid choice. But if you want Japanese Style or anything that requires more nuance and flow, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere or at least demanding to see a comprehensive portfolio first. Very disappointing experience overall.
