I welcomed into my home Abby and Jorge from Electrical Connections. They were a dream team for me. From the moment they came in they explained to me the work that would be done, and showed me the light fixtures they would install. They patiently answered all of my questions. I felt involved at every stage in the process. They showed me the work once it was done, and made sure not to leave until we had plugged back in everything inside the house and made sure it had all come back. It was a masterclass in customer care. What do I mean by this? I had asked that the breakers in my box be identified with which part of my home they turned on/off. We bought the house as a flip and my home inspector missed that almost nothing in my breaker box was properly identified to a part of my home. Abby did this-using a labeller. I can easily identify what is linked to which part of the house. No having to guess a person's handwriting. It is such a relief to open the panel and immediately know what connects to where. And she carefully walked me through-twice-the newly identified breaker labels. When Abby set up motion sensor lights for the room where I have my furnace to replace bulbs operated with pull chords, she asked me first which setting I wanted the sensors on before installing them. Plus she left me the instruction manuals. She did not need to do this. she went the extra step. Jorge did a beautiful job in my laundry room and where once I had a hanging by a wire, ready to fall light fixture that never gave out that much light to begin with, I now have a bright LED light under which even the smallest stain will stand out for me to apply some shout prior to it going into the washing machine. They completed the outdated, not up to code, electrical wiring in our home. They did it with care, dedication, responsiveness, knowledge and clearly years of experience. They worked tirelessly for hours to repair and install a new circuit box, that included installing a new electrical box outside, checking each room's electricity to label all the breakers, and and the work will recieve a final inspection in the next few days. My experience: the first appointment they cancelled due to a timing problem but rescheduled for a couple days later. The technician (JC) was informative, patient with my questions, personable, and got the jobs done quickly. He also brought my attention to the need for a GFCI in the kitchen which I really appreciated as this was a safety issue. Pricing: Mixed. Lower than the comparable quotes of their competition for rewiring the faulty wall switch to the garbage disposal. But I found $170 for a 7-minute job to install an light flat LED disk ceiling light very expensive. I did appreciate their promo price of $39 to drive out and evaluate the problem, which was absorbed when I decided to hire JC for the work. Overall good. read more

We were looking into upgrading our HVAC system and based on feedback from our preferred contractor we also had to look into upgrading our electric panel. In all honesty, I was a little skeptical but based on contractor estimates for the electrical work it then appeared to be necessary. Kisan from Electrical Connections arrived at our home and based on his thorough inspection and walking me through the needed scope I felt comfortable moving forward with them. On the day of the job we ran into an unforeseen issue that did augment some scope to the project but we were able to fit it in within budget-again it was something unforeseen but we got it done and the work could be accomplished. Electrical Connections came to give an estimate for a chandelier installation. They were very prompt and came out within 1 week. Their quote was 50% higher than 2 other quote. I did not choose them in the end because they tried to upsell me, not due to the price. This type of thing happens to me a lot when I'm getting house repair quotes without a man around. The electrician suggested that I upgrade my panel even though it's up to code and my house was built in the early 2000's. He also said I need to change all my smoke detectors even though I pointed out I had my house inspected less than 2 years ago when I bought it. I declined these extra services and said I felt safe in my house and have a ton of insurance. Then he said if my house burned down I'd be homeless for 2-3 years while it is being rebuilt. This whole conversation was very stressful for me so I did not want this person working in my house. read more

Great company that comes through when you need them! Power went out in my home on a Sunday afternoon. Called and initially spoke with Oscar who said he would try to get a tech out there today but if not, would have someone out there first thing in morning. Sure enough Josh showed up at 9:00 Monday morning and was able to diagnose the problem right away. He provided me with different options for upgrade of the indoor and outdoor breakers, including price estimates. Josh was even able to temporarily get the electricity back on while he ordered the necessary parts. Parts took a couple days, during which the power went out again. Josh came all the way out to my home again in between job calls and got it back up and running til the parts arrived on Friday. Throughout all this I was kept informed with calls from Selena in the office as well as texts from Josh. Paul came out soon after the job was completed to do the final inspection and was also very professional and courteous. Very positive experience with Electrical Connections. But they did not let me know that they proceeded to do work and charged me an extra $200 for work I didn't authorize. They "lowered" that price from a $500 charge. Had an electrical panel replaced for an upgraded one. Also some additional electrical outlet work as done. However their finish was not the best as other companies had. They replaced the panel just fine, but the finish on the foundation where the electrical wire entered the home was not as cleanly finished as other companies who performed similar work. Also the labeling for the electrical panel was not finished the same day as installation but had to be done on another day. Over decent service for the prices. read more

I had them out to quote me to add some outdoor outlets; very thorough inspection and scoping the project & even identified an incorrect grade of power line feeding our outdoor HVAC unit. I don't think you could find a better encounter with an electrical contractor then these folks. Now, don't just take my word for it. Wait until you hear what the County electrical inspector said, and how the inspection went down. During a third party safety inspection, we got some bad news about our 47 year old electrical panel. I went looking for someone who could get the job done right. I settled on Electrical Connections after getting multiple bids to replace the entire panel. They weren't the cheapest bid, nor were they the most expensive. They were in the middle. The work was performed by Tim Davis. He was prompt, professional, and prepared for anything. He changed out the entire panel in six hours. Fast forward to the county inpection: On Friday, my wife and I were in the kitchen. She said, "Honey, there are four men with clipboards coming up our walk." It turns out the senior inspector was training 3 other new inspectors. At each turn during the inspection, he would quiz each of them separately. Before he replaced the panel cover, he said, "This guy's been around awhile. It's a textbook installation." Over 5 years we have replaced every.single.inch of our house (and I mean everything: the entire HVAC system; every inch of plumbing and electric; all the walls down to the studs; interior and exterior doors ripped out and replaced; every single window; new siding; every single appliance; replaced the wood stove; even repaired parts of the foundation). Every step has been a literal nightmare - for example the latest issue was that the siding contractor trimmed so close to the windows that none of them have sufficient clearance to open anymore. I've had no fewer than 50 contractors work on my home in the past 5 years and it's been awful. Tim from Electrical Connections is the only person that ever did a job right the first time. And he's done all our electrical work, including gutting two bathrooms, gutting and expanding the kitchen, relocating the entire electrical box to another room in the house, and moving outlets. And our house is very weird - no crawl space, no attic space, not even space between the ceiling and the roof to run wires, so it's required lots of unique solutions. $69 evaluation fee to give me a quote on replacing smoke detectors. I don't think so.

At the end of last year my girlfriend said she smelled smoke in our Guest house when coming in and out of our front door. I never smelled anything and dismissed it as someone having a fire outside. That weekend at about 8pm, I did smell it and realized it was coming from the electrical panel. Being a contractor, I pulled the panel cover off and saw nothing, but it did smell worse. Our neighbors also have a Historic home, and said great things about Guillermo and his crew. I called Electrical Connections and they were at our house within 45 minutes. Guillermo's father also works for the company and was near by and came right out to start diagnosing. Within minutes he discovered the problem and some charred wires. It turned out that the amount of power being used in the Guest house was more than the outdated wires running to it could handle. They made the problem safe that night and then came back to trench and run a larger wire from the main house to the guest house. They were always on time, clean and polite and even managed to work around the not so friendly dogs on the property. They honored the price quoted and never tried to push any unnecessary services. I cannot recommend these guys enough. This is the company I would trust to send to my Grandmas home if she ever needed their services.
