Where to even start explaining how awesome Todor is.... Take a seat, this borders on a saga. After moving into a new house, I noticed 2 things. I couldn't make tea & toast at the same time, and there was some suspect-looking electrical work in the garage. Todor came over quickly and we laid out a plan to add some new outlets in the kitchen, rip out all the bad garage work, add new lights & outlets there, plus some security lights. He got to work quickly and had this done in no time. During inspection, however, the inspector noticed some oddities in another part of the house and asked us to investigate. Turns out a previous owner had done a huge amount of unpermitted work and left a giant fire hazard. The city insisted this be remediated before they'd sign off on the original work. It was so bad the inspector took pictures "to show the boys". Todor advised I do that work myself, as paying his hourly rate to do demolition work was not prudent. I warned it would take a while, since I had a newborn son, but he said it would be fine. Months go by while I cut drywall, pull cables and amazingly don't electrocute myself. While doing this I discovered massive plumbing & dry-rot issues which require immediate attention. Todor advises the city will not sign-off on his electrical work until all the walls are closed up. It took me OVER TWO YEARS to sort out all that crap (including ripping out floors & walls, retiling my bathroom and redoing most of my plumbing), the whole time Todor patiently waited and advised when we were ready to call the city. Finally one day the final wall was patched and we were able to get final sign-off on the work we started before my son was born. Along the way I learned that Todor is a man of great honesty, patience and integrity. I saw many inspectors during my renovations and the old-timers were "You're using Todor? It'll all be fine." He has the respect of senior inspectors at City Hall and knows the electrical code inside and out. His conduit bending borders on artwork. Thanks to him I know my house is safe. read more

I wish I could've learned how great Todor's workmanship is, but gee......he totally failed to show up at my house. I contacted him by email over the weekend to look into a broken circuit breaker and asked what time he would be available this week. He got back to me several hours later and said "between 4:45-5pm Tuesday." Perfect. So I rushed home from work early today in order to meet him. 5, 5:15 comes and goes. I call his cell phone---no answer. Leave a voicemail. He doesn't try contacting me until well after 7pm tonight at which point I've already left my house. Perhaps he could pay ME $125/hour for losing 2 hours of my life? I'll be calling someone else. read more

Todor was wonderful. Very communicative, he texted or called to update us and to let us know if he couldn't make it at a certain time. He came in mostly on budget, one extra cost due to an unforeseen needed addition, but again let us know everything as it was happening so no surprises at the end. I called Electro Integrity for a quote on a small project I needed done (install a couple outlets in the basement). Todor came out to give me a quote - he arrived on time and as promised, and gave me the most competetive quote for the work (I called four electricians in total). Todor just left. Fantastic experience. We had problems with the hard-wired smoke detectors. We made arrangements through text messaging. The day before coming out, he asked me to send a pic of the smoke detector we used - which I texted him. He arrived with replacements, should they be needed (which they were). We recently had a closet converted into a built in office space. I've had Todor over for two projects and he has been very professional on both occasions. The first project was to pull electrical power from our existing outlets over into our office space. The second project was to install overhead and undershelf lighting in that same space. Todor and his team were neat and efficient on both cases. The work was done quickly and I was really happy with the results. He is very busy, but was good about telling me when he would be available and was even able to make time for me when I know his schedule was already full. We were having problems with fuses blowing in an old SF flat. Todor came out and figured out an excellent solution that involved a new main panel and a new sub-panel in the affected flat plus running a few extra circuits to the kitchen. A previous electrician did not offer this option, only a full re-wire of the entire building. Todor explained all of this very well, gave a reasonable estimate, got the work done in a timely fashion, and solved our problem. Did a great job! Todor and Ivo are fantastic! We had them move/rewire outlets, run new HDMI cables across a large room, fix/remove some previously installed (by someone else) bad electric work. All work was done completely to code, with no cut corners and they ket the holes in the walls to a bare minimum. I can't believe I didn't review Todor back in 2009 when he did a full service upgrade for our homeowners association in our 5-unit building here in San Francisco. We had this terrible rotting Federal Pacific system that was going to burst into flames in any minute. I interviewed 5 contractors and received back 4 quotes. Todor's was the most legible and thorough by far. He articulated a special design for the way the conductors would approach the house to try to keep the facade as tight as possible. He was really flexible and collaborative in trying to figure out where to put the massive shutoff switch that was required. These details really matter and I was grateful that he was open to thinking through them. A lot of contractors are not that patient!! His price was right in the middle, where I would expect it to be. Also, he was more fluent and transparent about the PG&E process than his competitors. It's almost been 10 years since he did this work, and it's totally holding up. The relief of having the ancient dangerous system gone and the solid new system in place is huge. Thanks Todor! Oh, and I almost forgot. The reason why I was reminded to write this review is that we are repairing our facade, and there's an old ugly cable hanging around. It looks like the kind of cable that you _do_ _not_ want to cut if it is attached to something important. Or something that can kill you. So I called him up to ask if he'd have a look. Todor is super nice and very helpful. I know he and his crew had a lot going on with various jobs, but I never felt that he was pushing us aside for bigger jobs. The work is all good (so far as I know - I'm not an electrician, but the city inspector signed off on it). Todor's crew did a very good job of being an non-disruptive as they could, considering they had to knock big holes in lathe-and-plaster walls, and they worked some odd hours to get stuff finished. Only thing to be wary of - communication between Todor and his crew is not always great - make sure to follow up with Todor yourself to make sure all messages are getting through. By now, this rave review will be just piling on because every glowing thing that's been said of Todor is consistent with our own experience. But let me say, Todor is the REASON we've created a yelp account (we're first-timers) - just so we can sing his praises. In addition to being an extremely nice guy, Todor is conscientious, decent, thoroughly dependable and responsive, hard-working, reasonably priced and goes the extra mile. We've dealt with many service technicians over the years in our home, and none compare to Todor. He recently helped us with a stressful emergency that arose at the tail-end of a remodel project, days before we were supposed to move back home, while our contractor was out of the country (Murphy's law in action). Our dishwasher blew a circuit and nearly caused an electrical fire in the kitchen, complete with sparks, melted plugs, and black billowing smoke. We called Todor, who cleared his schedule, came right away, and diagnosed and fixed the problem (staying late into the evening and I think even missing his baby's bedtime for us). All for an extremely reasonable price. Later, he also helped us out by giving us a written report that we needed in order to deal with our dishwasher manufacturer about the problem.
