She is the WORST! Decent at her job but terrible at booking appts or following through on her word! Insisted I shave my face which has always been a fear of mine but she promised in just a couple sessions the hair would be gone... LIES! After stressing to her my fears of shaving and the problem my ingrown's had become She scheduled my appts monthssss out! Offered to pay more but swore she was booked day and night... It was hard for me to believe she couldn't make time for a 30 min appt in 2 months... I found it next to impossible to get a regular appt and then on short notice she would have a 30 min opening and boy is she expensive, $200 per hour with high expectations of a tip on top of that. Okay, this woman is wonderful! I wanted to wait to give her a review to see results. But really I would have given her 5 stars the first visits. After the first visit I saw the difference quickly, and have been very happy with the results. SO! Embarrassing to admit, but I get ingrown chin hairs-- gross, I know. But I do want to share that in case others have a similar problem. After one visit with her I started to see results quickly. They usually grow within a few days, and this time they are no longer here. Over the last couple of years I was damaging my skin my constantly picking them out and hurting myself more. By my second visit the remaining few came out and she got rid of them right away. Is it painful? For me it wasn't. A few will hurt, for the ones that are really hard to take out, but I guess for me its more of an excitement since I no longer have this embarrassing problem. I highly recommend her. I had electrolysis when I was in my early twenties and as hormones change, I had new hair growth (20 years later) and needed to be treated again. My daughter was also in need of treatment so I made an appointment for both of us to see Lisa. Her space is really clean, aesthetically pleasing and her energy matches the calm of the space. Her machine is state of the art (so much better than the blend machines they used on me years ago). Lisa has completely changed my life. I used to be incredible self conscious about my facial hair, I have psoc which makes hair growth on the neck appear no matter how many laser hair removal and threading sessions I would do throughout the years. For the past couple of weeks, I have been treating at Lisa's electrology studio to have some hair removed from a tattoo on my arm. I researched and visited several electrologist before choosing Lisa. I was concerned because the hairs were somewhat fine and tattoos can be tricky to work with - as the coloring obscures the hair follicle and if not done properly, there can be damage to the tattoo. Without question - Lisa is GREAT. She took the time to explain the process and was very patient with me. Her studio is super clean and comfortable. It's also very private - which was key for me. Lisa worked very efficiently. The tattoo goes around my bicep area - and the underneath section was very sensitive and tender. Lisa quickly worked to find the optimal settings on her machine that would remove the hair and be as painless as possible. Lisa was very clear that electrolysis is not a painless procedure but she would work to find the best settings for me that would accomplish the goal (hair removal) but was comfortable. Lisa was also made sure that I understood the proper steps to clean the area and what to expect in the days that followed the treatment. Overall, it was a great experience. I could not be happier. Lisa is an excellent medical professional, an artist, and a wonderful person. She immediately put me at ease when I spoke with her over the phone. I wanted to have some hair removed from my intimate area, which made me a little nervous. Many electrologists don't work on this area, but Lisa does, and she is extremely professional about it. She uses a state-of-the-art Apilus XCell Pro and she knows how to use it. She also has a variety of probes/needles. She tried every setting and every probe that she had in order to find which would be the most effective at removing my hair, while also keeping any discomfort to a minimum. Her studio is very clean and organized. She's almost always running right on time, and if she's ever running a few minutes longer with a client, she'll send you a text to let you know, which I really appreciate. Five stars for communication! I was planning on trying at least 3 different electrologists in the the Santa Monica/West LA area before deciding on who to go with long-term. She cares that I understood the process of electrolysis and used a great visual diagram for me. She also is big on patient confidentiality which is also wonderful. The process was only minimally painful (as good as electrolysis gets), and she explained to me that the more water (coconut water) I drink ahead of time (as well as limiting caffeine) can help decrease the amount of pain you experience.
