I think this is over rated Indian place. It's mostly a bland Indian food with almost no spices. Considering the prices I expected a better authentic food. The drinks are almost as crappy as possible. The bartender needs to add some alcohol to drinks. The selection of dishes are awesome on menu but really nothing what the pictures look. Definitely someone was creative on the menu but not in the kitchen. The service is bad and arrogant too. They don't understand half of what you say. The atmosphere is stunning, the tables are on the water and we had a great breeze. Service is efficient, even though not as typically friendly as you find in Cancun. There was some club music playing which was kinda strange but overall such a pretty and unique place to have dinner. For those reasons I would recommend going but it is not the best Indian food nor the best drinks. We ordered samosas, a vegetarian paneer dish, a lamb dish, mojitos, and margaritas, and everything was acceptable in taste and temperature when served, however nothing was delicious and nothing tasted like true authentic Indian flavors. This place has amazing Indian and Thai food. Alan, who is one of the waiters there has an amazing attitude and gave us champagne on the house to celebrate me and my fiancée's engagement. If you're coming here, ask for him. He took photos for us, checked on us every 5-10 minutes and gave us really good seating. The place and ambience is nice albeit a bit dark. It is in the La Isla Shopping Center. We barely found any customers. The staff outnumbered customers. Food quality is OK. For Indians who miss their cuisine this probably would pass. The jeera rice pulav is good. All of the sabzis/gravy dishes seem to be microwaved. We were 6 of us ordering a variety of items and our order showed up in less than 10 minutes. This happened twice. It seems unlikely they could prepare all of those dishes (dum aloo, paneer makhani, dal makhani, naan, kulcha, jeera rice, biriyani) in 10 minutes. All of the dishes were salty though. Naan, Kulcha were subpar. Guess when the choice is limited you just take whatever you get. Keep your expectations low and visit to satisfy your curry craving - nothing more. read more

Me and my friends were in the mood for some Indian food so we found one close by to our hotel. The restaurant is located in a swanky mall with lots of posh stores and we walked around until we found the place. Like many things in Cancun, it is expensive and overpriced! The service was good with the waiters checking up on us frequently. We had a booth outdoors right by the water although I wish they had mosquito nets as the mosquitos really got me! The food was tasty. The dishes are named differently than what I have seen usually but you can figure out from the descriptions on what they are. Visited this restaurant during our vacation in cancun. The restaurant is located in the fashion harbor mall at hotel zone. Very nice ambience and good service. Good choices of food and also has a Thai option. We ordered paneer gravy, dal makhani, some naans and briyani. Taste was good with respect to naan, gravy and dal makhani. Briyani was average. I would give a 3.5 and you can try out this restaurant for the bread and some of the rich gravy they serve. The only problem we had was, there was lot of food left over and wanted a to go. The boxes provided for to go was really bad and the food spilled over the bag. I feel gravy should be packed in a closed box rather than a plastic box which is used for rice. read more

Outstanding. Sit outside on the bay. The naan bread was outstanding, and every dish we had was better than the next. If you sit outside, try to sit to the left of the main entrance as you walk towards the bay, the sunset view is incredible. Waitstaff was pleasant and the service was outstanding. This is my first negative review, ever. My family went to Elefanta, quite excited for what we'd heard was great Indian food. We were incredibly disappointed and, frankly, annoyed at the end of the meal. Half of the dishes were brought out cold, and the waiters were quite obviously complaining about us when we asked that they be reheated. The food (after it was heated properly) WAS relatively decent (we know Indian food as we are Indian). However, the effort required on our part to get that food ruined the experience. read more

Beautiful and romantic location right on the waters edge of the lagoon. Dim lighting with wonderful jazz playing in the background. Started with a glass of wine, and ordered the Fish Molly and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Rice does not come included so we ordered a rice pilaf on the side and a garlic naan. The entire meal was impeccable. Afterwards the wait staff surprised me with a large cheesecake slice for my birthday. I love Indian food and learned how to appreciate it by going out to dinner with good Indian friends. I was happy to find that there was a highly rated Indian restaurant right across the street from my hotel. Unfortunately the food was just average -- the chicken tikka was bland, the naan bread was not fluffy, and there weren't any vegetable side dishes available to order. I ended up ordering a vegetarian curry on the side but that was not what I wanted. Most deplorably they did not have any Indian beers at all, only Mexican beers. What kind of Indian restaurant would not carry Indian beers? The restaurant is very pretty and you can sit outside on a little balcony over the water with a killer view, but as for the food, you can do better next door at the Thai restaurant. read more

We had a wonderful dinner with friends. We were a group of 12 and they were able to accommodate us easily. The ambiance was amazing and the view of the lagoon was beautiful. This restaurant is located among a group of restaurants including Thai and Indian food - in La Isla shopping mall, right next to the water body/sea. Has good ambience. And, good quality north Indian food. As another review already mentioned, the to-go boxes leaked resulting in spilled food. Service was average. Some items like salt lassi and papadums were not in the menu but they offered them when we asked. The prices for them were on the higher end. Overall, had quality food in good ambience. I'm reducing two stars because they need to improve on to-go boxes and also add items like papadum and lassi in the menu with better pricing. Definitely worth trying once if you are in Cancun and go from there. read more

Indian food is legit and hit the spot. Much better food than most Indian restaurants in the SF Bay Area . We loved all the food we tried - the Dal makhani, murgh makhani, lamb galouti kebab, chicken seek kebab , fish malai tikka along with onion kulcha. Pistachio kulfi for desert was great too.
