I wish I can give this business 0 stars or -1 I got there because I wanted to switch barber supplies shop , so when I got there I commented the guy ( I don't know if he's the owner) that I had some problems with some clippers I bought in some other shop , nothing relevant ..... anyway so I bought some clippers here , went back to my shop , charged them , and then when I started to use them , MY CLIENT COMPLAINT TO ME THAT THE CLIPPERS WERE PULLING HIS HAIR . So because I didn't want them to think that I used them too much I went back to this place to see if they could give me an exchange .... I got there , there was a lady , I told her my concerns and she called the guy , she put him on speaker and he started very aggressively to tell me " you are the one who told me you didn't like the clippers from "X" place " , "I don't sell used stuff " what I replied to him " I'm not saying of accusing you of selling used things and I DID NOT CAME HERE TO ARGUE ....... I can tell they have a lack of experience about the barbering industry , because he probably thought that I had issues with the other shop last week , and assumed that I was some kind of complainer who go to businesses to cause trouble , barbers don't buy clippers every week he should've know that my comment was about something that happened last year ..... all I can tell is at least the other shop gave me opportunity to explain myself and they actually checked my clippers realize the clippers were bad and gave me an exchange , things that in this place they didn't wanna do , basically the lady explained to me that they can't exchange things because they lose money . Taking the lost I went back to my shop and since ain't getting rid of the clippers and as a 12 years experience barber I always keep parts to fix my clippers when something happens , I started to disassemble this ones , and I find the problem , I change the cam follower and boom ! The clippers work good now ... all new clippers needs to be charged 2 hours before first use , this ones were charged within 20 minutes , very suspicious looks like someone charged them before .... I don't know if they sell used , refurbished, or factory defected things , one thing beware of THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT AND WONT TAKE ANYTHING BACK .... worse costumer service I ever had , it was that bad that made me write my first review ever .... never coming back here.

If you need a great deal on any of you daily barber amenities this is the best place to go, exclusive merch, great prices and awesome customer service. I will not go to anyone else because no one can or will match the respect and etiquette this place has. Big ups to Komeizi

Best place in the valley to get your barber supplies. Lots of verity and always in stock with newest clippers.

Maneki Neko also operates a sister concept store called CATCH Little Tokyo located on the third floor of Japanese Village Plaza. [Parking]: As long as there are no special events in Little Tokyo, the Aiso Parking Garage (101 Judge John Aiso St) is your best bet. [Selection]: The shop has transitioned from primarily selling traditional decor / ceramics / cosmetics (which the shop still carries but in a smaller section) to focusing mainly on plushies and blind boxes featuring IPs like Sanrio, Pokémon, and other Japanese anime. Even though an officially licensed Sanrio store is located next door, Maneki Neko still has an excellent selection of Sanrio items that you can't find at the next-door licensed Sanrio store. [Conclusion]: This is one of those shops where I can probably find a Sanrio plush that I am willing to buy as a gift. It is a perfect example of a thriving shop that has learned to adapt by keeping up with changing consumer tastes.

The shop itself is on the smaller side, but they really pack a lot into the space. They carry a little bit of everything from snacks and blind boxes to household items and stationery. There's also a huge selection of Sanrio and anime merchandise, so it's a great place to find cute collectibles or small gifts. Whether you're shopping for yourself or looking for something fun for someone else, chances are you'll walk out with something. The staff has always been friendly during my visits, and while the store can get pretty busy at times, the overall experience is still enjoyable. Prices are fairly decent for the area which is definitely a plus. If you happen to be in Little Tokyo and enjoy browsing cute or quirky shops, I'd definitely recommend stopping by--it's worth the visit!

Every time I come here I always end up spending a couple hundred for big hauls because I want everything haha, but prices aren't bad at all. This last time I got a free diffuser as a gift with purchase! They also suggested buying these Japanese cough drops since I was headed to a concert (which - good looking out! was absolutely needed and helpful). They even checked the ingredients in Japanese to make sure that I wouldn't have any allergic reactions which was so sweet! Service has been consistently great every time that I've visited here. This last time I went was super early on a weekday though, so wasn't busy at all. It was shortly after they opened because I happened to have an appointment in the area and needed some beauty products for a trip. They were great with answering all of my beauty questions! The only con may be parking when it's busy or later in the day. I've tried coming here at night before but struggled to find parking when the lot was full and there weren't any spots on the street nearby. So definitely try to plan to come earlier in the day/when it's less busy.

There is a paid parking lot in the plaza or street parking as well but watch for signs!

We were interested in stopping because it was our first time there and wanted to see it, however, we only had approximately one hour to explore. The shopping center wasn't too busy yet since it was so early, but also most all of the stores were closed as well. We did not get the complete experience of everything that this mall offers. A couple of bakeries were open when we visited and I am glad that we stopped! They allowed us to get some sweet treats and pastries, and they actually became one of the highlights of our trip to Little Tokyo! Although some of the stores weren't opened yet, it was great just to explore the area! All of the storefronts at the mall and surrounding Plaza were decorated for the holiday season. This brought an extra layer of charm to the shopping trip and helped create a cozy, festive ambiance! The quietness of the early morning hours created a amazing environment for us to walk through and enjoy our short little excursion to this beautiful shopping center! Although my visit was brief, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would love to go back again, but next time during afternoon or evening hours when all the shops are open so I can finally see everything the Little Tokyo Mall has to offer!

I've seen Anime Jungle evolve and take over the entirety of the underground mall area. RIP to Fairytale Boutique, Fickle Wish, Xenon, and the day and age where Anime Jungle had their own dedicated shop for visual kei and J-rock. Never forget what you've lost. Other businesses have come and gone, like the mochi ice cream place. If you ever get mochi ice cream at the supermarket, it's likely from them and the macaron place that I loved, but alas, tis the world we live in. Other than the Anime Jungle that I go to and Little Akihabara LA for their pop ups and events, I also go to Monkey Pants, sometimes I swing into the Sanrio shop (they usually do the character meet and greets here, if not at JapanLA or somewhere egregiously far), Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle (they got staff POSTED there due to the thefts I'm sure, but I've gotten my bearded dragon keychain here and now I have them in all sizes), Catch (located on the 3rd floor and is MASSIVE for blind boxes and other goods), Neko Stop (I've gotten better deals here than the location in the Santa Anita Mall), and I've stopped in the Nijiya when I've been trapped there to get snacks or some bottled tea. Love the bakery there and the meat buns that they have (despite prices constantly rising due to the capitalist hellscape we live in) and the cafe to get affordable savory dango and takoyaki. The okonomiyaki place is one of the best, if not only places to get okonomiyaki at a place dedicated to the dish. Once in awhile they do a collab with multiple restaurants, not just at the mall too, such as Silent Hill F, Reincarnated into a Slime, during AX, Arknights, etc. Really drives the crowds and businesses here which is nice. Parking at the structure is a bit pricy and can get super fisted with bad drivers though, so keep that in mind.
