My experience was awful. The people were rude and charged me extra without telling me. They tried to do 20 extra dollars just for shellac on my toes after i paid 45 for a pedicure. THEN they charged me $5 for shellac on my nails after i said no shellac. This place is a ripoff. DO NOT GO HERE. Nobody was welcoming and i felt like i was being judged the entire time. The lady named Win did really good on my boyfriend's pedicure so I will appreciate that, however, the lady that did my pedicure looked pissed off the whole time and was very rude, her name was Lisa. I have gone there twice and will not be returning. Laurie did an excellent job. The pedicure was good also. The punch card for service is a good incentive. For every $20.00 and up you receive a stamp. My first service cost $80.00 and the second service cost $75. I was given 5 stamps in total instead of 7. Kingwood: Beware of "Elegant Nails" on Northpark Dr. My daughter and I have used them for years but today was horrible. My appointment started on time but she waited in the chair next to me for 40 min then the tech did not want to do anything other than shellac for her. The tech would not acknowledge either of us when we spoke to her to ask questions, so we relied on the man doing my nails to translate. We thought it was simply a communication problem but she began filing the tops of her nails till she burned her over and over forcefully grabbing her hand back. I told the tech to stop and I would take my daughter elsewhere.....Ok now she is really mad and yelling at us (in perfect English) that she can't do the complicated design that was asked of her. Filling the grown out part of my daughters nails with the same base color to me does not sound outrageous. The only person in charge "Con" told me no one else in the shop was qualified to do a powder refill so if my daughter wanted them done it had to be that tech. Looking around I could see 3 other people who have done my powder refills in the past. We refused. Con handed me a bill for the service of both employees! Yes really! I paid for my service, and left a cash tip for him. After years of great service it only took 1 poor employee and a manager (who did not have enough skill to step in and simply move a customer to another technician) to turn away a loyal steady customer forever! read more

I had a terrible experience at this salon. It is close to my home so I decided to try it. It turned out to be the worst "nail" decision possible. I went in for a new set and took a picture of a gray ombré. After almost two hours my nails looked like I had smashed then in s car door and they had old dried blood underneath them. I know, gross! The manager cane over and told me to have them covered up by painting over then with dark color. I had to paint my nails a dark, dark color and you can still see the black underneath. I also have small lumps of power on the back of the nails. The manager could not care any less. I felt bad for the tech who was sorry but still charged me for a new set! I know. I used to come here all the time when I lived over this way. It got to be too busy for me so I moved and found another spot closer to me. I came back because they have a splurge worthy gel pedicure. I come in, place is empty, shocker for 10:30AM on a Saturday. Anywho, the gel was a neat experience but I was expecting it to be longer. I love my pedis and I love a nice long one, especially when I am plopping done money for a LONG one. Well, it didn't last as long as I had hoped, I understand they may have other clients, again it was slow, but I felt like I could have paid a lot less to get the exact same pedi without the gel. She is detailed oriented and takes pride in her work. I was her client at a salon in the Galleria area, but when she moved I was quick to follow! The worst manicure I have EVER gotten. I get my nails done pretty regularly and never have a problem, I've used several different nail salons. My friend gets hers done here and I went with her, worst idea ever. The girl who did my full set French manicure made some nails shorter, thicker and smudged looking. She also informed me that I had crooked fingers and that's why my nails would look bad, never have I had that problem before. When I spoke to the manager she filed some of them and gave a half attempt to "fix" what needed to be soaked off and redone. Then smiled and said "It looks good" I was so shocked at the poor quality that was acceptable I left. I will never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone! read more

I love this place. Tiffany and Christina and the whole staff are very willing to please and pamper you when you come in. I went in to get a pedicure thinking that Christina would not be able to do a full set of acrylic nails and she took the time to do my nails. They are extra busy since some of the nail salons flooded on Kingwood Drive, but they manage to take care of everyone in a timely manner to where you don't feel rushed and they do an excellent job. Worst service I've ever experienced!!! We had an appointment at 2 for our bridal party and were there for 3 hours! They kept stopping and moving around to other people. The guy cut me on every finger even when I told him he was hurting me he said sorry and continued to cut me. My nail salon, Kingwood Nails and spa, that I love flooded. Trying to find some place to go. I do not recommend Elagant nails. Had solar nails. The gentleman that did my nails was very rough. He became irritated with me because I could not relax. It is hard to relax when you are in pain. Came home with 4 bleeding cuticles. I am so disappointed after my last trip! This used to be my go to place!! I knew going in there I would get good service! Well this last time I went will be my last time!!! First off the women doing my nails didn't know how to properly take off the old shellac must have took 30 minutes. Ridiculous! Then she cut not one not two. It three of my cuticles to the point they were bleeding (that's never happened at a salon) that really bothered me! She cut one cuticle said oh I'm sorry then went to the next finger cut that ductile said I'm sorry then again on a third finger. Then I finished up pay and get into my car (after 90 minutes for a simple refill of shellac) only to see a HUGE bubble of nail polish on my pinky nail. So I run back in show it to her and ask her to fix it. She makes the nail about 50% better. Whatever by this time I'm just ready to go. My pinky nail was broken before I went into the salon I mentioned it to the lady and asked her to put a tip on it so it wouldn't look bad. I could tell later that evening she didn't fix it very well and low and behold it breaks. Very disappointed won't be back and now off to find another salon.... read more

I have been a customer for several years: always having both pedicure and manicure; tipping 20%. But lately, technicians have 'burned' me three times, once actually cutting me, and I had to ask for the antiseptic they all have at their stations. Twice, nails lifted within a week and a half, the latest this month breaking the nail bed. Then today, a day when the owner (who is very good) was off, they tried to charge me twice, not deliberately but because they didn't know what they were doing, even though I showed them on my cell phone bank app the charge had just come out of my bank account. They ran around confused, still saying I needed to pay. I told them to explain to Christine why they lost her customer. There are too many nail salons in the area to put up with any of this, and I will find another salon. read more
