So, I'm very picky with my eyebrows. I use to drive all the way to Eagle Rock Every couple weeks to get my brows done. I was getting tired of the drive so decided to go on a hunt for a place to get my eye brows done. I honestly was hesitant to come here because of some of the reviews I have read. Buuuuuut.... i thought to myself... well, reviews are really subjective so what if my experience differs from others... AND I am so glad I came. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the lasy that does my brows, but she her station is the first station. She is awesome! I asked her to just clean my brow and that's exactly what she did. Not like others, that do whatever they want to your brows. The first time went to her she advised me to grow my left eyebrows more because it appears that the left is thinner that the right. I listened and now my eye brows are now sister not twins.. hehe Prices here are super reasonable. I got my eyebrows done at one of the other brow salons across from the plaza that they share and they charged me $40!! *thumbs down*. There is a lot of parking. You may wait a bit, but the wait is totally worth it. They have plenty of magazines to entertain you while you are waiting. Customer service is also very good. Enjoy!! read more

I love my eyebrows. I have yet to learn names, but everyone that's touched my brows have shaped them perfectly to my bone structure. I've been looking for a new eyebrow threading place and a friend recommended Elegant Shapes. I'm only in Valencia once a week, and I'm there every 2 weeks to get cleaned up. The girls are all sweet. Their business is located inside a plaza. I've never had trouble with parking. You're greeted at the reception desk, and from there they point you to your station. They always ask if I have a preference, and regardless of who touches my brows; I always leave happy. If you've never stepped inside to get threading done and you're looking for a new spot, this place is great. $13 for brows, and don't forget to ask for a stamp card. read more

I gave 1 star for getting me in right away. I told Samah I wanted my eyebrows shaped as they were not any thinner - just around the eyebrows cleaned up. When she threaded them she took so much off both eyebrows, down to very skinny brows and hardly any hairs left at all on the outside edges...can't hardly see them and patchy at best. In the center area, both sides are different heights not symmetrical at all and SO skinny. Would never recommend or go back. I pray they will grow back - I have a family wedding in a month! read more

My cousin and I wanted to try eyebrow tinting for the first time and Komal made the experience amazing! She was so fun and easy to talk to. She had such a peaceful and positive aura. She also explained the process, how long the tint would last, which color suited our complexion more and gladly tinted the eyebrows darker if we thought it was too light as well as threaded and fixed our eyebrow shape. She's the sweetest lady! Very friendly and accommodating. I also tried honey waxing on my legs for the first time and Komal was very gentle,I did not feel any pain at all! I was impressed by the atmosphere of this place. It looked very professional compared to the places I usually go to in SFV. However, my threader ruined my brows. When I go threading, it usually takes at least 20 minutes. However, this lady rushed it and threaded them within 10 minutes. I noticed that some parts of my brows were messy so I asked her to clean them, and she ended up pulling out random hairs. I'm very disappointed and will not be returning. read more

So I'm finally making a review because Linet deserves a 5 star review. I've been coming to elegant shapes for about 3 1/2 years. I love it here. Everyone is nice and the receptionists are quick, which is great. They have a massive waiting area so there's always room if they are busy. I've only gotten threaded here so that's what I'm reviewing on, Linet is amazing! I very rarely get my eyebrows done because I'm very good about keeping them up myself, but I am going to a show this weekend and thought I'd get them done because the last time I had them done was early/mid August (it's now late January). I've never had a bad brow experience, although my skin doesn't react well to wax or sugaring or anything else so I always come back to threading. Normally I get them threaded at Brow Arc (don't get me wrong, they're great) but this was probably the best threading experience I've ever had! I went to see Alina after a few friends recommended her and I only needed a clean up so she got me out of there in less than 5 minutes! It was super fast and didn't hurt as much as it normally does for me, especially when I haven't been in such a long time. I used to come here a while back but then switched eyebrow places. I then came and tried a facial wax and was happy to be introduced to Komal. She did an outstanding job with my face wax. Every detail and didn't wax more than the natural look. She did me the favor of threading my eyebrows and I was hesitant because I'm quite picky. However, my eyebrows came out looking stunning and she even left some hair so I could get my shape to how it should be! Ever since, I always go to Komal, and I recommend everyone to do so as well! I always love the service. Every service I have gotten done is perfect. The problem I have been having lately is the receptionist not being very helpful. I will call to make an appointment and she will tell me to walk in because appointment are always full. Then when I show up as a walk in she tells me that since appointments are full they can't take me. I have shown up as early as 1:00 and she still won't take me. They need to update their hours because I arrived at 4:19 on a Friday afternoon and the doors were locked. There were at least 4 people still inside that I could see and even some people still having their eyebrows done but no one came to the door or acknowledged that I was locked out. I also tried calling and no answer on the phone. The hours on the door say they close at 5, here on Yelp it says they close at 6 so why have the doors locked at 4:19? read more

I made the mistake by trusting all employees at this establishment. I figured with the high reviews, it can't be that bad with whoever's chair I sit in, which happened to be Samah's chair. It was EXTREMELY painful. I was thinking the whole time this is quick and it will be over shortly. Then she handed me the mirror. I am not a picky person so if I see a hair or two that was overlooked I'll just pluck the rest once I get home. But it was a whole lot wrong that I don't have the skill to fix. I asked for an arch and that's just what she gave me, nothing else. I admit he top was clean but the bottom outside edges were untouched. I willingly sat through a bit more torture to have her finish the threading of my brows so they could be even. When she put the witch hazel on it felt like alcohol. I didn't know why until I got in my car and saw that I literally had open wounds on my left brow! The whole day my brow was extremely painful. I just hope they don't turn into scabs since it's my sister's wedding tomorrow. Never again! read more

Really great place to get your eyebrows done, but account for a longer wait time than you might expect! It was a clean, open space with a nice ambiance. The eyebrow artists are amazing- they work so fast and the clients are in and out of the chairs with smiling faces! The only thing that is subpar is the wait time, even with an appointment. I waited about 25 mins, and there were about six other people waiting with me (with one lady giving up and walking out). I understand they are busy but maybe there is a better system for this. This place did an amazing job shaping my brows. I always walked out really happy with the shape they achieved. I liked some girls more than others. The price was great! However, after doing it for a while I noticed my eyebrows were growing back very unruly. I was told that when they thread they actually change the direction of your hair growth because of all the pulling. UH! Not what I was expecting.
