10/10! Tracy is an absolute miracle worker. I very last minute decided that my bridesmaid dress for my best friend's wedding needed an adjustment ~two~ days (do not recommend) before the wedding. I had a strong feeling that this was most likely not possible as most tailors are normally booked for weeks in advance and of course need time to make said adjustments! Nevertheless, I stopped by Elegant Tailor and Cleaners in pure desperation, really hoping that somehow it would be possible and boy did I get lucky! Tracy was able to do a complete turn around and have my dress ready in 2 days. Unbelievable. On top of that, she made it 10x more flattering than I could have possibly imagined! This was a very cheap Amazon dress that did not do me any favors but by the time that Tracy was done with it, you would have no idea. They did the alterations on time, and the alterations were excellent. Very pleasant staff, quality workmanship, good prices, reasonable turnaround time. Be cautious. They seem to overcharge when a wedding or shower is mentioned (simple hemming of a dress for a shower in my case)

All I can say is I cried. After having my son I gained 20 pounds. They worked so hard to make my dream dress look perfect I cried when I took my dress back home. They did everything they could to make sure I could go home with a 1 of 1 wedding dress. I'm very blessed to have done business with them. With rush and less then a week until my wedding the price was more then perfect. I can't thank them enough. Very swert and amazing as well. I highly recommend them for alterations. They could tell how much my dress meant to me and did everything they could. I will be going to them for all my alternations for all events. I purchased my wedding dress from Jana Ann Couture up the street, but their regular seamstress went on vacation during the timeframe that I needed my dress altered for my wedding, so they recommended I go to Elegant Tailor. I went ahead and trusted their recommendation, so didn't do much research in advance, but ended up having a great experience. I do wish their dressing room was a little bit bigger, but otherwise, the ladies working are so freindly and made me feel comfortable enough. They finished my dress on time and spent the time necessary to make sure that it was altered properly. They also made a video of my gown being bustled so that it would be easier for my bridesmaids to bustle my dress at the wedding. It ended up not being bustled properly, but it was the thought that counts! hah I also felt that their rates were on par with other tailors, which I was a little surprised seeing as how they are located in Del Mar, so I expected much higher pricing. read more

Needed a bridesmaids dress altered. I needed the bottom taken up so I was not stepping on dress and so you could see the cute shoes and adjustments to the chest area were done. They were able to get this alteration done is 2 weeks. They did an amazing job. They were able to take some cloth to add extra cleavage coverage and they replaced the zipper on the back. Tracy was amazing to work with for my wedding dress! When I first called to get a quote, the front desk person said Tracy (the main seamstress) was busy and would call back later. She did! Gave me a quote and after seeing the dress, the estimate didn't change much. (Other alterations were AT LEAST $100-$200 more. My dress was really big, missing sequins and pearls and she was confident the entire time of accomplishing the task. We planned to shortened the straps, bring in the waist, shortened the train a bit, add a bustle and tighten the thigh area. It was a 1 and done shot!
