    Banged up walls

Upon arrival the water was shut off to the entire building. It did not come back on until 6 pm. The front desk refused to even provide bottled water for guests. How shortsighted and unaccommodating. No showers, flushing toilets, doing dishes, or drinking water. The rooms are quiet from street noise... BUT, the floors allow the transmission of noises from the units above. The ceiling squeaked loudly as the upstairs guest walked around. The sliding closet doors from above were noisy too. HINT: request a 4th floor room so you're on top of everyone. Rooms are slightly worn. Carpet pieces loose, walls dented and in need of touch up paint.

Huge rooms, great beds and awesome bathrooms. Dog friendly and a great location. Stayed 1 night before going to Aspen. Hotel is steps from the whole foods.

Inside of dishwasher - seems like it can be cleaner than this.

My wife and I decided to take in 4 nights over Christmas. While it is a Bonvoy property, in my opinion it does not live up to the Marriott brand. This is a Westin property (owned by Marriott) and as a lifetime titanium member I guess I just expect a little better than what we had. First, the kitchen in the suite (unlike I thought the Marriott Residence Inn had) does not include an oven (I was told by the manager that there are no ovens in Residence Inn either due to safety). It has a small 2 burner cook top and a microwave. Yes, a full size fridge and dishwasher is included as well. There is also only a small counter top to eat at for 2 people. When we checked in, we discovered that there was only 1 small bowl among the dishes, and a pasta pot and small saucepan for cooking. No frying pan. I went to the front desk and asked for another bowl and frying pan, which were eventually brought up. The inside of the dishwasher was absolutely nasty (pictures provided). The room (king studio) was smaller than I like, and the traffic noise from our side of the building along the highway was brutal at times. We also had heavy foot walking noise from the room above us at all hours. The building does not appear to be well insulated between floors. Breakfast was included and consisted of cold cereal, juice, fruit, milk, and an attendant that would toast bagels or English muffins. They also had the standard pre-made and frozen eggs, sausage and omelette. We opted to go next door to get some groceries at the Natural Foods and make our own. The location is great, next to a brew pub, Natural Foods, and a few restaurants. While it was an acceptable stay, we won't be back. The value for what we got just wasn't there. We will stick with the Marriott properties.

The view from our Studio King Suite was magical!

I usually don't write reviews but this was something my boyfriend and I felt we wanted to share! We were on our anniversary trip as a little weekend getaway and this hotel honestly had some of the sweetest and most helpful people working there that made us feel welcome no matter what time of day. I wanted to recognize one particular person Karina. She was such an angel and treated my boyfriend and I with such care on our anniversary day making it that much better also taking pictures for us in our dressed up outfits from every angle even when we only asked for one (something little but definitely was something out of the kindness of her heart). The hotel itself was clean and convenient being surrounded by restaurants as well as a Whole Foods/liquor store which are both walking distance and not to mention the beautiful Mountain View we had from our room. Thank you so much Element Basalt for a wonderful stay and I cannot wait to be back again!

Nice and clean with good styling. Staff is very nice and accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the beds good be better.

Wow I have not slept in a worse bed in my entire life. Westin Hotels should be ashamed of the slab of bricks they are putting sheets on

Beautiful new, modern hotel. Great gym and pool. My only complaint is the walls are paper thin and the sheets are scratchy.

Our room had a kitchenette where we were able to make food (we got from the Whole Foods that is literally across the street!).

Kelley answered my email questions within 24 hours, at all times of the day and night. That's what I call great service! We stayed in the upstairs suite, which was very comfortable for 4 people. The furnishings & decor everywhere in the Inn were very cozy, yet contemporary. They offer free wifi, and advanced TV options, so you can sign into your own accounts. On the weekends they offer a fully cooked breakfast with a pre-determined menu, which was extensive and delicious. John, the owner, is a pretty good weekend Chef! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owners, and staying at their Inn, that they have refurbished, and are very proud of.

The Inn is cozy with a great touch of funky style! Our room was the first floor queen and it had, no joke, the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on away from home! Kelli makes sure you get settled in nicely and there are abundant recommendations for things to do and places to go in town. The location is great, just off of the main road so walking everywhere is a snap! There's also two vintage Schwinn bikes for use! The breakfast was very scrumptious as well! I had the dutch baby, which I neeeeeever get to indulge and it was mouth wateringly good! Please book these folks next time you need a get away, it's so relaxing!

What a great stay and experience. My wife found the Distillery Inn for a getaway to Glenwood…read moreSprings. We've stayed in many of the Glenwood hotels and they're fine. Carbdondale is 14 miles away and 20-25 minutes. It is a beautiful drive between the two and was great exploring another mountain town. The Distillery Inn is a breath of fresh air. They offer five rooms. One is downstairs adjacent to the distillery and tasting room. It is handicap accessible. The other four are just up a few sets of stairs and have their own balconies. The room we stayed in Ginger is gorgeous. It is modern and offers a ton of space. The bathroom is large with a closet with safe, large counter with oversized sink, bathroom with sliding door and walk in shower with rain and handheld heads. The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. There is a gas fireplace and coffee machine and mini fridge. They do offer a minibar and their own spirits to buy. The room had a couch and desk as well as a patio with two chairs to relax in. On the second floor is an outdoor patio with several tables to sit at. We took advantage of unseasonably warm weather in November to eat meals at. The patio has a beautiful view of Carbondale. They provide daily newspapers and in the hallway for the rooms are additional coffee pods, plates and silverware for eating in your room. The owner Connie was extremely helpful going above and beyond to surprise my wife with flowers. She gave me different options and the vase and flowers were in the room when we checked in. She answered questions we had and helped us troubleshoot a small problem with some of the technology. The tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't spend much time there but enjoued live music from the patio (with fireplace) just outside. They have reserved parking for Inn guests behind the building in the alley. They do have free charging for electric vehicles which is very uncommon. We did buy a few bottles of their Moonlight Espresso and Whiskey and they are both delicious and oh so drinkable. The downtown of Carbondale was quiet but filled with lots of restaurants, shops and mountain hospitality. Looking forward to returning to the Distillery Inn on future visits.
