We needed to replace our roof due…read moreto weather damage, so we thought we'd go all in and replace the siding as well because Escex assured us they did both. In all we spent more than $38,000. From the beginning of the project things went sideways. Our siding salesman promised hardiplank, installed a lesser product that wasn't even the same style. The salesman was fired, but we didn't get what we thought we were paying for. As for the roof, after it was installed, we had a leak that caused some water damage in bedroom, but it was fixed. Fast forward 4 years (we had roof/siding installed in May, 2021), we woke up a few weeks ago after a rainstorm to find water damage in the master bathroom, master bedroom and on the main floor in the kitchen. I called and asked Escex to come look for the leak. Mark Chapin, the roofing manager came out and told us that there was a 'dead spot' on the roof and that he would repair it but it wasn't covered under warranty. He would do the work himself for slightly under $600. I was skeptical, so therefore got another estimate from a well known roofer, who pointed out where they believed the leak came from and why. Below are current day pictures-4 years later. I asked about the quality of work, and the relationship to the leaks., sent emails and left voicemails for Escex Owner ADAM HUMPHREYS-he didn't return any of them. Mark told me he was limited in what he could do because the warranty expired? I wonder if this is the 'quality' Escex is so proud of and if they stand behind this type of workmanship and poor customer service?

Few weeks ago, had a leaking problem on sunroom back of my house and called this person again to fix it. He came to check the problem and gave me a estimate $1100 for 14ft x 24ft sunroom. And we decided to make it for $1000 because I tried to pay in cash. So, we both agreed to fix sunroom roof for $1000 and I was waiting for him for few days but did not show up. I sent text message and called him several times but didn't answered the phone and reply for text message. And I found out that he just blocked my number. If he didn't want to do work for $1000, he should just say so. Not just blocked client's phone number. Well....I think he is kind a impolite and this is how they loose clients. I am helping my mother get her roof replaced, and the insurance gave her more than Red Hawk expected. They did not want to apply that price to the agreed amount and threating me with a lien on her house. My mother is 75 years old, on a fixed income, and that is why I signed off on her to get a roof replace. I have asked several time for an invoice for the agreed amount minus what the insurance paid. I am recieving another amount after the job is done, which I the sole signature on the contract did not sign off on. I do not like to be threaten to take my mother's house or to be taken to court for a job I am willing to honor based on the contract in hand. Beware of the finish product if they believe they deserve more than the agreed upon contract!
