We had the distinct pleasure of escorting a group of athletes from Shasta County Special Olympics to the Element Hotel in Santa Clara Friday 10/25/24. The hotel far exceeded any expectations. Beautiful decor, kind and superbly helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms, plentiful and hearty breakfast. The evening staff was exceptionally helpful when a series of unfortunate events led to us needing to request a full set of room keys for our group despite them having already given them to another of our group, our fault entirely. Great pet-friendly hotel near the San Jose airport. Comfortable beds and great staff-particularly the front desk. Shout out to Luis at the front desk-my group forgot some items in our room after check out and Luis was great at communicating with our group and kindly set aside the items for us to pick up. Danielle and Jocelyn are also fantastic and went above and beyond for us. The amenities were awesome-24/7 coffee machine, beautiful pool with a firepit, 24/7gym and a laundry room. The one item that didn't meet my expectations was the pillows-they were flat, however we did have several per person. Overall, we had a great experience and will stay at the Element the next time we're in the Santa Clara area. The room was huge! Super clean. We went for the Taylor Swift concert. They made it super festive with a picture taking area, lavender haze, water upon arrival, which was on theme for the concert. They handed out Taylor Swift stickers we were able to check in early. Top-notch service. read more

I wish we started out on a good note coming here. CONS: We found dirty dishes with food in the dishwasher and food in the freezer from previous guests. When we had let the front desk attendant know, (Not sure if she was working here, she had jeans and sneakers on, but she opened the pool for us) she told us to "just run the dishwasher" on our own. Already we know that the rooms aren't fully inspected and clean. When we pulled out the sofa bed to put sheets on, there were no extra sheets to be found. The sheets on one bed, had a couple yellow dotted stains on it and the pillows had no support at all. My poor neck! PROS: no smoking permitted anywhere in the hotel not even outside in the patio or pool area. Able to breathe fresh clean air! The lobby was clean and had a great big open space and a wall that opened up to the pool to let the fresh air in. The pool area was regulated to 17 people max and the jacuzzi was large enough to keep a good distance from other guests. There were 2 fire pits that were very nice to sit next to as the weather cooled off. The bar was open so we got a couple drinks to cap off our night after a dip in the jacuzzi. The breakfast was free and pretty decent and the lady stocking the food greeted us and was very nice and accommodating. I liked the little patio area so we can eat outdoors and enjoy drinks and the fire pits. It's right next to a plaza with new upcoming businesses hopefully more restaurants, but currently there is a starbucks, Japanese restaurant, and an Orange Theory Gym for now. Overall it was ok. I hate writing crappy reviews but i can't believe she just told me to run the dishwasher myself. I don't come to hotels to clean up after someone else's mess. I come here to relax and feel comfortable but I questioned the cleanliness of everything in here, and didn't sleep well. After the pandemic I would have hoped they did a better job cleaning up after each guest. 2 stars because my kids enjoyed the stay and it was family friendly. I'm all for second chances and maybe IF we decide to stay again and it's better I will update my review. I usually have a good experience at all the Marriott/Bonvoy hotels and feel comfortable, but this time was a miss :( read more

The staff here was so accommodating for my long stay. I was here for 3 weeks for work. I enjoyed every day! From the complimentary rotating breakfast buffet to the on site laundry services everything was great. I stayed in a king suite. It was so spacious! A great touch was a heavy sliding door for the bedroom area. I would close this at night and it blocked off the sounds from the hallways. Peace and quiet is always what I look for in a hotel. The Element served me well. The staff helped me with recommendations of places to eat and go. The bar was nice and the bartender served a mean margarita . I would recommend the hot tub in the cooler times of the day. The architect of the hotel designed the pool and courtyard in the middle of the hotel. This is great if really hot, but if you are wanting to catch some sun sometimes it is a bit chilly in the shade. The courtyard has the nicest fireplaces and a grill area. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have the budget. It is a bit pricey, but worth it for a treat! read more

Amazing staff and clean rooms!! Feels like an upscale studio if you pick the room with a full kitchen. We stay at Marriotts whenever we travel but this site was beyond our expectations for a VERY good price. Staff is super friendly, lobby is well-kept, heated pool with hot tub is great for families and very little noise when inside the room. I want to give special credit to the staff working at 4pm on 4/16, it was a gentleman and a kind woman both at the front desk (I think her name is Patricia?). I booked last minute and she knew who I was immediately and went above and beyond, with the help of her colleague. Amazing service with great teamwork to check us in. You can tell they love their job and are team players. Thank you to ALL of the staff! Advice to whoever is reading, first impression with front desk staff will give you an idea on what it will be like during your stay. Amazing First been a fan of elements when we went to their Sacramento location and this one doesn't disappoint Why is this the best hotel ever especially if you have dogs?? First off, new, modern and clean. The rooms are classy with hints of wood.bathrooms and furnitures are clean and awesome All the rooms include a mini fridge or a full size fridge Best of all, water purifiers built in. No need to hunt for more water, it's all here They allow dogs up to 70 lbs which is huge because most places is only small dogs The front desk lady was so nice, Jocelyn I think, She really had amazing customer service and made me feel glad I came here Unlike Sacramento no free tesla destination charging which I wish they added They do have charge point chargers but it's expensive Parking is also 15 or you can park on the street for free. Didn't feel welcomed by guest services Had to pay for parking $15 Guest above us were stomping on floor, why did they build this hotel with hollow floors/ceilings especially in the rooms could have used concrete for floors/ceilings. Didn't care for the quite time document had to sign, didn't feel at all as a paid guest. Go there in person to reserve a room and feel it out first because there is a no cancelation policy once you reserve your room. I wouldn't recommend this place. Where to start? First the pool area was packed full of what seemed like a ghetto gangster party. I can only assume maybe one person rented a room and then invited an entire village to come party. Adults knocking into my kids, squirting us with squirt guns and laughing, to the point we had to get our kids and exit pool area. Then we go to our room and had 2 bath towels. I called 4 times, litterly 4 times within 2 hours and no towels. Still no towels 3 hours later and I had to go down myself to get them. This is the third time I have stayed here and this for sure will be my last. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Poor management, and even worse customer service. read more

Stayed here for two weeks - parked on the side of building & management has yet to release footage of someone rear ending my car. Made police report. Expired elevator permits, housekeeping doesn't include turnover service. Laundry machines for guests much older than the building itself. Coffee in the morning is often empty, but that might just be cause I wake up late. Different quality paper towels and tissues provided to rooms vs suites. Suites have automated blinds, rooms don't. Corner suite also doesn't have automated blinds. Air quality quite stuffy inside room - especially on 5th floor. AQI monitor shows excess particulates, likely mold in entry level rooms. King suite and corner view suite was much cleaner. Not worth it. Thought it would be nice to try out the new hotel. read more

Short distance from Great America and surrounding area was surrounded by markets and restaurants to eat. It accommodated our party of 6 comfortably. The room was spacious, clean, and housekeeping delivered additional towels promptly. Continental breakfast was limited but quality food was served. Great overall experience and stay for families. If you combine Westin and Aloft but take out the unnecessary bouge, you get the experience of Elements. Looked like a very new hotel in the heart of Silicon Valley, parking is $15 but there are a few spots on the street if you get lucky. The rooms were very spacious which included a kitchen and a large bathroom. The gym was new and had the basic necessities, but the best part was the pool and hot tub which were available even though its not even Spring yet. The only confusing part was the complimentary breakfast which has a buffet but you could also order off a "unofficial" menu to get eggs a certain way. The breakfast was until 10 am but they somehow stopped bringing food and letting folks order eggs around 9:30 which kinda sucked. read more

We loved our room and it was very comfortable. They charge for overnight parking but you can park in the street right outside for free. I didn't like the soap they use in the restroom because it feels oily even after trying to rinse it off. The one thing that was annoying was the entry door to the hallway where the rooms where located, you had to go through a door which was odd compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The complimentary morning coffee was pretty good but Starbucks is right across the parking lot if you are a coffee snob like me. read more

If you have never had the opportunity to stay at an Element Hotel, give yourself the gift of a stay. My husband booked us at a Seattle property, and quite frankly, I was a little bit disappointed that he chose to book there instead of our regular hotels. It was such a nice surprise!!!! They have the "heavenly beds" which, after further examination with hotel staff, were designed specifically for The Westin Brand. I have never slept better either on my own mattress or in a hotel. You can purchase these beds online as well! They don't ship to Alaska, but this bed is on my top ten dreams of things I must have. They even sell the bedding, so you can get the entire experience right in your home!! So enoUgh about that. This hotel is amazing! It opened in August 2019, so everything is clean and new. Every room is well stocked with dishes, silverware, dish soap, a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. They have irons and safes. This property has every single thing a person could need to be comFortable! I would love to just move in! They have big screen televisions with plenty of channels. You can also access your Netflix account and stream your own shows. Large windows give great views of the lovely California weather. There is a nice desk for work. Free breakfast is offered every morning. There is a heated pool and jacuzzi and BBQ facilities. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! You know how you got to a hotel and most of the time the pillows are too hard? Not here! And they give you lots of them! One of the best features about this brand is that they are dog friendly! You are greeted with a welcome pack for your pets that includes a tennis ball, potty bags, and milk bones. There is also a Nice pet relief area. Our dogs feel like they have hit the doggy lottery! They love this big house. I literally have nothing negative to say about this property. Also, it is worth noting that there is plenty of parking, and it is located about a mile from a shopping center/grocery store/restaurants, but is not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in a very quiet and serene area. I would stay at this hotel just for the beds alone. I've become somewhat of a hotel snob after discovering the Element. read more

Modern, stylish hotel. Just opened August 2019. Great lobby and outdoor patio with fire pits, outdoor pool and hot tub. Perfect for relaxation. They have a bar in the lobby (Cafe Serano) where you can order food and drinks. Lobby also has very spacious seating areas where they provide some boardgames like checkers, connect 4, scrabble, etc. I booked the Guest King room, and it was modern and spacious. Recessed lighting in the shower was nice. Little kitchenette area next to the bed. It doesn't come with a stovetop but comes with a sink (filtered & tap water), microwave, toaster, coffee maker, mini fridge, dinnerware, and utensils. Fitness center has dumbbells ranging from 5-50lbs, cable machine, yoga balls, yoga mats, elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, towels, water, and disposable headphones. Element hotel also provides complimentary breakfast in the morning. We stayed on a weekday and the hours were from 6:30-9:30 AM. Breakfast didn't have many options compared to other Marriott properties. They had some pastries, yogurt, cereal, different kinds of juices, coffee machine, two different kinds of egg bites, and some mixed fruits. First the good stuff. Filtered water, tall mirrors,comfortable beds. New clean and modern. Plenty of usb ports. Nice kitchenette. This is a great until..... the guests in the room above you start to pace the floor and you hear all the footsteps. You also hear every thing from the hallway and sometimes it even sounds like the sounds are coming from inside your room. I don't think the hotel thought about soundproofing or insulating the noise. The bathroom doors also bang shut, and you can hear this coming from upstairs and neighboring rooms. This is all despite running white noise on high volume from my iPad. Don't stay here if you are easily woken up or noises all around are irritating to you. Otherwise a very beautiful property and the beds are super comfortable so try to stay on the top floor so you don't hear all the footsteps. read more

First timer here.- Was down for the Stitches Convention. Very sleek, modern and clean. Our room was very spacious with a full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishes, good size bathroom, etc. We really liked having the table for four and the sitting area with a full size couch and a little table to use while sitting and watching tv. After a long day at the convention with a lot of walking, we relaxed and enjoyed our room and downstairs. Because we are knitters, we check out the lighting of places and there was great natural lighting in the lobby/lounge area as well as our room. After sundown, there is a lot of good lighting too. The only downside is the bed pillows. There are plenty of them but they were all too squishy for both of us. I might bring my own next time. I got bedbugs, 65 bites from core to my face. They claimed there was only two bugs found and this was the first encounter..... I asked them to send me a copy of the professional report but they never did. I just spoke with an employee from another hotel, who always got bites when she stayed. However brushed it off for nothing thinking it was anything! They refunded my stay and gave another complimentary night stay. Other then that they gave me a health responder discount but I was already getting that before. I've been booking there there for month, and was planning to continue to stay there for my job. For a new hotel, and very beautiful modern one. I would of figure that would of accommodated a better deal for rooms considering this can be a law suit. read more

Decided to take the family here for the weekend because of the photos on Yelp. When we turned the corner from Montague Expressway, my wife was excited to see Starbucks walking distance from hotel. Literally in the same parking lot. Check in was super quick and the lady that checked us in made sure to explain every detail about breakfast, pool hours, restaurant hours, and where the elevators were. Now let me get to the room. Full kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and electric stove top. It even has three bar stools with a bar top. Sofa bed in living room is perfect size for the area with a 55" tv to watch. The room is huge with a king size bed and plenty of space and another 55" tv. They have curtains that you can control with a switch to bring them down or keep them up to control sunlight. Now what surprised us is the balcony. We were expecting something small with a little bistro set. When we opened the patio door, we stepped out onto a 25' long balcony and about 10' deep with 2 chairs with their own ottoman. Next time we stay here we're bringing our puppy. We wanted to scope the place out before we brought him. But will definitely be staying here soon read more

This place would be AWESOME if it were not for San Jose planes going over it from San Jose airport which is really closed by. I was woken up at 6:30am. About maybe 4 to 6 planes took off and I left at 7:00am. Very sad. They have a salt water hot tub. read more

This is a new and fresh hotel with superb staff. We stayed a few nights to evacuate fire and smoke in the Santa Cruz Area. They not only offered a special rate but are very pet friendly with no fees. Some rooms have full kitchens for long term corporate travelers which will work out very well for evacuees unable to return to their homes for many weeks to come. The manager brought cookies out to the pool and informed everyone they had secured food donations from a local food bank for fire victims. My family is blessed to be able to return to our home after only a few nights but I am sure those staying for the duration were incredibly grateful. This is a nice clean hotel with a pool and a hot tub the pool is kind of small but the hot tub is big and there is also a nice little seating area with a fireplace outside the only thing we didn't love was the parking situation there was very few spots and they also charge you $15 to Park. But there is a Starbucks and a teriyaki restaurant in the same parking lot that you can just walk to which is very convenient read more

Good location and great service from check in to check out. Soon as we pulled up we felt welcomed. Not far from food spots and the freeway. Clean and accessible. The staff was very inviting and friendly. They even checked in our puppy and gave her some treats with bag of other goodies. The room was clean upon entry and the room was well stocked and ready for our stay. Super clean and the beds were soft and the bathroom was almost spa like. Outside there is plenty of parking in front and back. There is a charging station but only one. There is street parking and things within walking distance. Ooo man. Almost don't want to post because I want this to be a hidden gem! Haha! This hotel is amazing. We've stayed there 3 separate times because our first time was especially good. The 3 times we've stayed we got the king suite. We have a 2 year old and it's plenty of space for him to play around. Room is really clean and well equipped with all the essentials for an extended stay. The pool is by reservation only which is pretty cool. Parking costs if you park in their lot past midnight according to them. There is free parking on the street up n down the street which is great cuz that's a good savings. You get free breakfast too! Especially good when you have kids with you. The location is also great because it's between downtown SJ and Santa Clara, both which have great food options on door dash and Uber eats! Fairly new facility...no welcome pet pack as mentioned in one of the posts...and yes there were ants in the kitchen counter when we initially check in our room. Overall stay was ok but on our last night one of the rooms in the 4th floor had a loud party and we called the front desk a couple of times to complain but it took over an hour to rectify the issue. Another issue with this hotel is that when the guests above your hotel room walk around all the thuds and stomps just reverberates which makes it difficult to fully enjoy some peace and quiet. read more

The hotel is beautiful, but the service isn't great. I had to wait quite a while to check out because employees were nowhere to be found. We also had to ask for everything. There wasn't enough bedding or towels in the room for the registered guests, and there was no laundry bag. When I went downstairs to get them, they plopped them in my arms and that was the service. I've had much better service elsewhere. The walls are also really thin and they also charged for parking in what is a big empty suburban parking lot, which is ridiculous. I'd probably give this hotel 3.5 if you could. We were touring SCU and they had a big room with a mini kitchen which we liked. It's in a industrial/tech area so not scenic at all but it's new and has nice facilities with a pool/hot tub. What we didn't like: -$15 charge for parking per night unless you have an electric car or park in the few spaces along road next to lot. It's not in a big city and they have a large lot so seems greedy to charge for parking. -Certain things annoy me in regards to hotel rooms. One is not having enough hooks or shelves in the bathroom. Seems like an obvious oversight when there's no shelf over the toilet when it's just a blank wall. And NO ledge or anything in shower. There's attached shampoo/conditioner combo bottle and gel wash bottle on wall but nowhere to put your own stuff. Weird. Also, there are two double beds spaced far apart with one "nightstand" placed awkwardly in the middle but it's too far from either bed and there's no stand on other side of either bed. Again, just seems like a weird oversight. Overall, fine stay but wish those negatives I mentioned were addressed. read more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights last week after we moved out of one home, but before moving into a new home. We stayed in a 1 bedroom King suite. The positives: -The suite was spacious. -Water pressure was good. -Linens were good quality. -Late afternoon/evening desk staff were friendly and helpful. The negatives: -Walls are very thin...we could hear conversations happening in the room next door, and in the hallway. -The morning desk staff was also in charge of the breakfast spread, and didn't seem able to keep up with both, and seemed put out by any requests or questions. -The breakfast offerings were limited due to Covid (which is understandable), but it would be better to offer prepackaged muffins or pastries that didn't need to be cooked, rather than bread or bagels that needed to be toasted, but then have no toasters in the suites. -During this pandemic time, I would have expected a super clean room, but instead found crumbs on a small living room table, and a previous guests toiletries in the closet. Overall, an adequate hotel, but I expected much better since this is a fairly new property from a well respected major hotel chain. read more
