I asked them to photograph my proposal in Kauai, and Kayli helped me with all the details: where/when to do it for the vibe I was going for, how to position myself and my girlfriend for the best possible shot, etc. Following the proposal, we spent 1-2 hours getting shots nearby, and Kayli and Matt helped us with a bunch of different poses while getting plenty of candids along the way. Kayli and Matt are fantastic! I found them on Yelp, inquiring about a family photoshoot. They responded quickly with details about how to book a session on their website. The process was fast and simple--find an available date on their calendar, and either pay a deposit or the full amount. We booked a mini session. For a family of 3-6, the shoot is 30 minutes and you receive 20 photos. In addition to that, I added the sneak peek package. Since we were visiting Kauai from California, I did what most people would do when they vacation--check the weather app. It showed rain for the entire week! You can imagine how devastated I felt. I sent an email and asked for their recommendation on how to proceed. They reassured me that island weather is pretty tricky and no weather app is ever accurate. I trusted their judgement, and it gave me confidence to move forward. Fast forward to the day of the shoot. We shot at Kalapaki Beach--a beautiful, iconic beach. It did not rain, but it was overcast a bit for a period of time. That didn't bother me because they took great photos. We're grateful for their patience with our two rambunctious boys (ages 3 & 5). They worked so well with them, and our boys felt really comfortable. At one point, Kayli asked our youngest to "run to Uncle Matt" and I thought that was sweet--felt like we were treated like family. On top of that, they made sure we got all the shots we wanted--I think we may have went over the 30 minute limit. But I could tell they enjoy taking photos to get the best shots. They are so great to work with. At the end of the shoot, Kayli had a special surprise for our boys. She had them pick three things from a Magic Box full of small trinkets and toys. What a sweet and thoughtful gesture! Our boys loved it. Overall, our experience was lovely. From their first response to post photoshoot. Kayli and Matt are responsive, kind, patient and passionate about photography. They are truly professionals. I would absolutely recommend them. We were planning a trip to the island for our baby moon. Decided to have a maternity/family photo shoot in Kauai. I reached out to Matt on Yelp. He was super responsive from the beginning. He let us know a few time slots based on our time on the island. Matt & Kayli are AMAZING They are a husband & wife team that truly embody the "Aloha Spirit". I emailed Matt to check availability and received a response within minutes. I contacted him several times via email, text and even phone calls with many questions & each time Matt was super helpful & patient. We weren't familiar with Kauai & unsure where to do our photo shoot. Upon my request, Matt sent me pictures & videos of different parts of the island with detailed info on what each location had to offer & how long the commute would be from our hotel. We needed flower leis but there was a shortage of flowers on the island due to the pandemic. They went out of their way to find us a flower shop that had leis in stock. Kayli even made us 4 fresh flower pins for me & my daughters ! On the day of the photo shoot, Matt & Kayli came early & were waiting at the beach to welcome us. One of the reasons why I chose to work with Matt, was his eye for natural lighting. The other reason is because of the location he chooses for his photos. They're so unique and yet nothing too ostentatious or fake. I loved that on his site, he said he was looking for adventurous couples and I thought "that's us!"
