I came across Naomi Wong's Instagram profile when searching for engagement photographers. We loved her style. The icing on the cake was the many phenomenal reviews she has online! We booked an engagement session with Naomi in October 2017 at Ke'e beach. We had awful rain throughout the entire day. We were very concerned that the engagement session would not happen. We heard from Naomi throughout the afternoon about what we should do about the rain, alternative times / dates if the rain persisted. I was pretty panicked because I had paid for hair and makeup and I really wanted the photos done. Naomi was relaxed and wonderful throughout the session! Thankfully the rain dissipated. We had a wonderful experience during the session. Naomi gave easy instructing to direct us through different poses. She had a quick turn around with the photos. We are thrilled with the results. We have had great feedback from our families and friends about the photos. We have used them for our save the dates and wedding website. If Naomi is available on our wedding day, do yourself a favor and book her. During our planning trip to Kauai, we met with various planners and photographers and ended up having a 4 hour long conversation with Naomi about fishing and cooking. On the big day, seeing Naomi felt like I was seeing an old friend. Since none of us are reality stars, the idea of doing a photo shoot or having photos taken every 20 seconds can be awkward. While I am a ham, Naomi helped take the edge off for my husband. She was easy going which is important for family photos, which can be like herding cats. Naomi was so great at getting us our pictures in record speed. We got our sneak peek two days after the wedding and got to enjoy them on our honeymoon. My dad described her as having 'chun so' which is a sense of depth and authenticity. The photos captured everything I loved about the wedding and the experience was even better. read more

Going through my photos today from our October wedding and I'm still in awe at how beautifully Naomi captured the entire day, from getting ready to the ceremony and reception. I knew that Naomi's photos would be good based on her portfolio and glowing reviews. But I could never have guessed at just how talented she is; her photos are gorgeous and she is a lovely person. Our whole experience with Naomi was incredible: she greeted us on our wedding day with warmth and then must have been a magician throughout the ceremony. After seeing our photos, I do not know how one person could capture as many shots and angles as she managed to, all while somehow managing to avoid the silly snorkeler who decided to crash the party. Naomi also worked to get us our photos quickly for the party we were having upon returning home, which was amazing considering how busy she is. When we received the photos, we were moved to tears. To get straight to the point: Naomi was so AMAZING to work with and you should DEFINITELY hire her to shoot your wedding. I have been in a lot of weddings in the last couple years and NONE of the other photographers even compare to Naomi. Her calm, relaxed, fun demeanor on the wedding day was infectious. Honestly, I can't even express how amazing she was to work with. When I was thinking of hiring her after I got engaged, we spoke on the phone for over 45 minutes and I knew that I would really enjoy working with her. The photos on her website and blog were exactly what I was looking for and I felt that she really captures the raw, natural beauty of Hawaii and doesn't over filter her photos. If you have never been, Kauai is probably the most beautiful place that you will visit and having an outdoor wedding there is truly stunning. Naomi clearly understands how to capture that lighting and magic. I was really nervous to have so many photos taken and I didn't know how my now husband and I would feel about being so affectionate in front of a stranger. The day of the wedding, as soon as Naomi started to take pictures, my anxiety disappeared. She was so easy going and I think we laughed through almost all the photos. She directed us without it feeling like we were posing. And it looks like we are having fun in our photos!! The photo turn around time was seriously just 2 weeks and each photo is stunning. We really enjoyed having Naomi as our photographer! She was so easy to talk to and her turn around time is fantastic! I also loved that we didn't have to buy a huge 8 hour package like a lot of wedding photographers. Being on an island where a lot of elopements happen, she had tailored her options to include shorter sessions. We ended up booking her for 2 hours with the possibility of a 3rd (very accommodating to my indecisiveness). 2 hours worked out perfectly and our photos are absolutely stunning! We genuinely LOVE our photos and have gotten soo many compliments. I didn't quite get the big landscape shots I really wanted but that was due to site limitations (our beach was really narrow) and Naomi did an awesome job working with what we had to get the shots I requested. I absolutely love Naomi! She did such an amazing job on our Shipwreck Beach sunrise wedding photos! She will not disappoint! She captured every special moment of our big day! (even the silliness of my two kids - which happens to be one of my favorites) She captured our day so beautifully and I will forever be grateful to her for doing so! The pictures were delivered to us electronically, we were able to save them all in various file sizes, which was nice for sharing, and for printing. I had a 24x36 canvas print made of one of my favorites and it was absolutely flawless! I love looking at it every time I walk into my bedroom! I just finished my wedding book...it was so hard to pick only a few for the book, so my book is 110 pages! :) 12x12, lay flat pages and very heavy! I was given two names by our wedding planner and after looking at both, I fell in love with Naomi's work! She takes amazing photos! Naomi took some gorgeous family portraits while we were on vacation. We can't say enough wonderful things about her!
