I have 20 other contractors that I give leads to that appreciate what I do for them. After providing the first lead that resulted in a $4200 job, I tried repeatedly to collect the $420 I was owed. Instead of simply paying what he agreed to pay, he gave me excuse after excuse and lied to me five different times, repeatedly promising that payment was coming. He told me he would send the money through Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and other methods, but despite all those promises, he never followed through. The issue isn't just the money--it's the repeated broken promises and lack of honesty. If you make an agreement with someone, you should honor it.
