These girls are amazing, I've had 6 or so sessions to get my bikini line done. I absolutely hate getting waxed, but this is nothing like it. No pain. Seriously. The lasers are state of the art and shoot a little blast of cool air so there is practically no stinging the whole process. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff are professional and kind. I can't recommend them enough! Take advantage of the discounts and prepay for sessions, also refer friends and get a free armpit session! As far as the results go, I am so satisfied. I have realistic expectations and know that I will still have some hair, but it is so much more manageable. Texas in the summer is brutal if you're not constantly in the pool, and now I don't have to worry about bumps and I can go a few days without shaving. So glad I discovered Elements! read more

Wow Wow Wow! Just completed my second visit here at Elements. I have heard lots about laser treatment for facial redness. They are on the second floor of a cool building on San Jacinto St. This is just north of 6th St in downtown. I had both appointments with a tech named Claire. This lady is super nice, super professional and provides great customer service. On the first visit, you have 5-10 minutes of paperwork then your first treatment. Claire started me off on low settings for my first treatment, I had no discomfort afterwards at all. Claire was so good about explaining the process, very thorough! The laser itself zaps your face and is sort of an unsettling, electric feeling for about one second. This procedure is repeated on different points of your face. It takes about 25 minutes in all, so far it is worth it. After the first treatment, I could see a slight decrease in redness. I just completed my second treatment and there is no pain more than getting some sun on your face. I highly recommend if you are wanting to try laser treatments, give Elements a whirl! If you do, ask for Claire, she is great! read more

Hard to find your first time, yes indeed, but oh so worth it! I love the decor as soon as you walk in you feel like your in a private celebrity spa or something because you have to go up the stairs and you're not sure what to expect! Once there it's an adorable mixture of brick and paint. They always have the coolest artists works on display and fun retro furniture. There isn't ample seating but it's okay, I've never minded standing. My first appointment they were very thorough and even prevented me from making a huge mistake. I had been on medicine from having an allergic reaction to a bug bite. They knew that steroids would cause horrible ugly scarring so they rescheduled my appointment for a couple days later to be safe. I've been driving here from Houston for the past two appointments and they have been SO flexible with me. On my last appointment in, I called and said I might not be there at my 1:30 slot but that I was driving in as fast as I could. She told me that even though they close at 2 pm on Saturday's, she knew I was driving in JUST for the appointment so they would make sure they were still there when I got there. Fortunately I was wrong and got there on time, but it made me feel so good that they were willing to do that for me. They are always very helpful and honest with how it's going to feel. I've asked couple of the girls why they started working there and they almost all have responded, "because I was hairy." It makes you feel SO normal instead of embarrassed or weird. I never thought that I'd be so comfortable at a laser spa. I live in Houston and my appointments run out in November, but right now I'm really thinking that it's worth the 3 hour drive for the price and the expertise. read more

I had called about 2 weeks ago and the first employee I spoke with was great. I wanted to schedule my second appointment for the weekend before my wedding as I would be leaving town for 2 weeks and it would still have great results for my big day. The last day to make the 6 week window for that second appointment was today, April 20th. I got a call on Wednesday of this week that they had booked me for 15 minutes instead of 30 by accident and would need to cancel my appointment. I was then told there were no Saturday or after 5pm appointments left and I work a 9-5 job. This meant I could not get a second treatment in during the 6 week time frame needed. I voiced my frustration and was put on hold. I was then told miraculously someone had just called on the other line and cancelled their 1pm appointment so I could take that slot. Today, April 20th, I got a call at 12 noon (my appointment was for 1pm) and told the machine was down and they would not be able to do my treatment. This meant I also wouldn't be able to do my June appointment as it would not be in the 6 week needed window. I'm so frustrated with the scheduling and how this all transpired. If they can't get scheduling down (red flag), I don't want them touching my skin. I'm going elsewhere. read more

I went to Michelle for Dysport (neurotoxin) and Defyne (dermal filler) for wrinkles and nasolabial folds. Michelle is knowledgeable of the product types. She takes time to discuss the options and make the look natural. The injections feel like a small pinch without much pain at all. I had a great experience and will be going to Elements Laser Spa for all my skin care needs. I have also had a chemical peel with Michelle with nice results. They are really nice and friendly, the decor is nice - and I like the art - all by the same artist.. I thought the price was very reasonable - it was a special - I think I found it on their websitel. I was so excited to have laser hair treatments done! I was given a group for 6 sessions for my birthday which I used that the north Austin location. First off the spa is lovely. Simple, clean and welcoming. The staff is very helpful, highly trained and knowledgable about their lasers. I was worried if I might get burnt or something but the technician I worked with, Vanessa, was wonderful. No pain or burns or anything like that. I just had a photo facial here. Have had several over the years at various med spas. This was the WORST. The technician did not cover the entire area and in several spots, it was clear the laser tip was not in contact with my skin meaning the light was not directed. She did not use a band to keep my hair away so I left with goo in my hair and in my eyes. The whole procedure took 15 minutes which included the 5 she spent trying to sell me more sessions. I know I was there on a Groupon but that is the way new clients get to try out a business, I will NOT go back. I can recommend Skin by Kayleigh for the same treatment. They take special care and the facility is much cleaner and nicer and parking is FREE. read more

Elements Laser Spa is WONDERFUL! I've gotten 4 laser treatments there for Brazilian bikini hair removal and the results are literally perfect. I went here after getting screwed over by Depilite and Elements really helped me out! What do I DO?!") * No tipping policy * Easy rescheduling * Clean office * High-tech equipment JAYMEE (Technician/Aesthetician) * Selects lasers to use based on your personal hair/skin type. This is the minimum I would expect of a laser technician, but my friends have had poor experiences elsewhere. Feel free to ask, "Why are you using THAT laser on me?" * Friendly. This is the cherry on top because, when you're shooting lasers at me, all I really care about is that you know how to do your job right. Which brings me to... * Extremely knowledgeable, i.e. licensed as a "Laser Hair Removal Professional", which is the highest certificate available for the industry in Texas. All of the ladies in there are just dolls! Extremely nice, helpful, and great to chat it up with. I see Jaymee and I am in love with her! I use her get hair removed and gossip her little ears off! She is amazing. Everyone is very professional and the place is extremely clean. The first visit was great and extremely informational. Jaymee was completely honest with results and the experiences each person can have. I've had laser removal done before but it has never been as successful as coming here. I am not sure if its the machines they use or strength that they are doing but its working. Full warning to people, some people take a lot longer to get their hair removed. Its really based on the type of hair, the darkness, the area, and genetics. Some people can do a few sessions and others need a bit more. I'm one of those people who need a bit more but the woman are willing to work with me on what I need. Let me tell you again, it is very professional. I love this place! Unlike others I haven't had any problems w parking, but I also tend to go around noon (or just after) so that may make a difference. I have gone 4 times now and I couldn't be happier! I used to get waxed every 6-8 weeks and it was awful. My esthetician actually recommended that I get laser because I consistently had ridiculous amounts of breakage that was painful and annoying. My tech is always the same and she is awesome! I hardly ever wait and the place is always clean and the girls are always nice. The entire process (I have 2 areas treated at once) generally takes a total of 20 min from the time I walk in to the time I leave. As you continue w treatments, they do become a bit more intense, but you will absolutely notice the difference in the following weeks. I no longer fight w ingrown hairs and I don't have to think about shaving or waxing anymore! Hooray! They have great specials all the time too! My doctor actually referred me to Elements when I asked her about laser hair removal, which already made me feel at ease about the place, and about having laser hair removal. Once I arrived for my initial appointment and started reading the disclosures, I realized that laser hair removal involved exposure to a high level of UV light, which I am super-sensitive to. I talked to Nicole about this and she was really understanding, so let me do a test patch free of charge to make sure I wouldn't have a bad reaction. Once I made sure I didn't have a reaction, I made my first appointment, which went fine. Nicole has been fantastic. Not only does she always remember that I'm a little apprehensive about being UV-sensitive, but she makes me feel so comfortable no matter what area of my body I'm having lasered. She even called after my first appointment to make sure I wasn't having any adverse affects. I also always find Elements to be very clean, and the rooms and machines hygienic, which of course is an important consideration. I've been really happy with the results. I'm also really happy with the price. It really is money well spent. I would definitely recommend Elements to anyone! read more

Few months ago moved to Austin (from the big city - NYC, that is) and quickly realized that my leg waxing routine (used back home for the past 10+ years) was not the most effective way to go in the TEXAS HEAT. Long story short, was referred to Rose at ELS & decided to give her a try. Honestly, I had a bit of trepidation - both cost & pain were considerable factors. I must mention I'd tried laser in NYC (only for my arms, with unsatisfactory results). Rose is a talented, affable laser technician with a sense of humor. She generally calms my nerves and while the sessions are not 100% pain-free, she always helps me to relax (asking if I need a break, reminding me to breath, or lowering the intensity, if needed). I've only had three treatments and while the hair on my legs is not completely gone, there is considerably LESS of it. Very pleased with my treatment. I tried out two other laser spas before finding this place. It is wonderful! All of the technicians are so nice and friendly, they make it very comfortable and get to know their patients very well. They also always send me an email and call to make sure I remember my appointment, very helpful. The appointments usually run really close to on-time, the longest I've ever waited is 10 minutes (which felt like forever), and then the appointments go quickly so you aren't wasting time. It took about 9 treatments but all of the hair on my underarms is gone! *I also got a groupon for this twice, so I paid $120 for three sessions each groupon, and then the other three treatments were on special (which they do frequently), so this is super reasonable! read more

I'm a freelance makeup artist and am continually asked for recommendations for a trustworthy spa. Interestingly enough, a model on a photo shoot turned me on to Elements Laser Spa. Although they offer facial treatments, tattoo removal, and other great services, my experience with them has been limited to laser hair removal. I am repeatedly impressed by their upbeat staff, straightforward pricing, highly effective treatments, and most importantly - their detail to hygienic practices. I've hosted a laser party at the spa as a way to share this little gem with my close friends and clients and will continue to recommend them well into the future. Do NOT buy a Groupon or anything else having to do with this business. I atemped TWICE to have an IPL done here and had no success either time. The first time they did not have my correct number so the Dr. was not able to contact me to give them the o.k. to treat me. I wasted an hour of my day as well as a babysitter that day. The manager called to reschedule and apologized. She even gave me an extra IPL for no charge. When I showed up for my next appointment, they had canceled it. I spoke to the manager, Michelle, on the phone again and they were going to get me in. I waited an hour and by this time decided that if they cannot get the clerical part of all this right, I was not going to let them touch my skin. Such a waste of time!!!! I would not recommend using this place. There are plenty of other places out there that take customers serious. I was willing to try a new place due to the price but it ended up being a BIG waste of time as well as a disappointment. Also, if you go to the downtown location, there is no parking. read more

Great find! I first stumbled onto them when KGSR had a website promotion for the spa offering sale treatment prices. I decided to give them a try even though they are completely on the opposite side of town for me. I have been very happy with my treatments; I am about 6-7 treatments in and am seeing great results. Nicole, my treatment specialist, is plain fantastic. She's upbeat, fast, and makes the entire process as painless as possible. I also really appreciated how upfront and informative they are in the first session about the potential impediments to successful permanent hair removal. Luckily, so far so good - but still it's good to be aware of the possible setbacks. Tip: Schedule your appointment closer to the end of the day and use the opportunity to try out one of the many restaurants and bars just around the corner! read more

I came across this place in 2009 looking for a certified and trustworthy place to do tattoo removal for my daughter. Once we came for our appointment the staff was outstanding with knowledge and explanations on the procedure. A doctor examined and interviewed her first and all treatments were photographed and documented. Excellent care was given during and after treatments with follow up phone calls and great trips. The removal took a year but it was well worth drving from Ft. Hood to Austin for it. There is no scab and the natural pigmentation has returned. While there I tried the Laser Hair Removal and loved it. Here we are 3 years later and I am going to return for myself for some hair removal treatment. I have had used their services multiple times, including IPL on my face 3 times, with great success. However, I had IPL done on my forearms on Friday and it left terrible marks, burns, and blisters. It feels like they were cooked on a grill. It was painful during the procedure, but not unbearable. As I was driving home, I felt like I had the worst sunburn of my life. 2 days later and the marks are darker, and the blisters remain. I have asked to be refunded for the procedure and should it leave scarring, I expect that to be compensated as well. read more
