Veritas Backstage will take your money no matter the circumstance. I had booked an appointment for a derma-planning facial and the day before my appointment, I unfortunately became very ill, landing in the ER that evening. After multiple attempts calling in the morning - (because no one answers the phone), I was FINALLY able to reach a live person to explain the situation, in the hopes to reschedule for a later time when I am feeling better. With Pneumonia on the rise and COVID still lurking around, it was only the right thing to do, especially with the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner. That being said, Veritas still charged me the $100 cancellation fee. How can one enjoy a facial, if they are hacking up a lung and have trouble breathing. Please explain that to me? Additionally, I don't care what socio-economic class you are, no one has $100 to just throw away, especially in these times. Veritas cares about "filling the spot." They do not care about their clients, better yet, their employees, and would rather the client come in for their services contagious. I have two facials that I will be indeed using. However, I will not be returning to this place of business as they are unsympathetic and extremely shady. read more

Two Weeks later came down with pneumonia. I went to urgent care late Saturday after Thanksgiving, I had an appointment that Monday Nov 28th for Erbium laser that I "pre paid" my visit 6 weeks earlier. They also had 497 in membership payments 199 a month, 800 left on my Tattoo removal package and 2064 for erbium laser. Then as of Dec 2nd billed me 199 for another month of membership. I sent my provider, proof (urgent care paperwork) sunday that I had been diagnosed with pneumonia. She never responded. I had to email the people behind the scenes to explain my situation and see that I wasnt going to be charged due to my reason for not giving their " strict" 48 cancellation. This was their email response: Your account will be canceled 30 days from the notice which will be on or before December 29th, 2022, and there will be one more draw of $199 on or around December 2nd, 2022, then it will be canceled successfully. As of December 29th you will no longer be eligible to receive member pricing/discounts. All of these funds are kept in your patient wallet. That's ludicrous, Ill be sure to be there no matter what then, covid, flu, pneumonia, because if you think anyone is going to allow you to charge them 1032 dollars because they were medically diagnosed less then 48 hours before their appointment then you put not only your service providers at risk but also are clearly just in this for money, not building relationships and a clientle that will stay with you. I will make sure warn more people on how you run your business. So they dont become your cash cow and left to feel unappreciated and at the mercy of people they can not communicate with in person. Let it be known, I will be coming in Tuesday at 1pm no matter what illness or otherwise might arise you can be sure of that. :) They canceled my appointment on the 6th and will not let use my funds in my wallet. Its a month later not one cent has been refunded after multiple attempts. My experience with Veritas has been unfortunate and expensive. I paid thousands of dollars for future services, some of which I used, then Covid shut things down. After two Covid cases and my mother passing away in 2021, I decided to schedule an appointment using my deposited funds. I was told there were no funds available. When I asked for an accounting of what services were done so I could see where my money was used, they ghosted me. I have called many times over the past three years and get the same response, ignored. I've left messages for Devin to call me which have also been ignored. Rachel is the best! She has completely transformed my skin. I have struggled with acne, scaring, discoloration and congested skin since I was a teenager. I'm here to tell you about the piqo4 charcoal detox laser treatment Rachel provides. If you battle with excessive oil and acne, the charcoal facial is a godsend. And part of me feels bad having to give such a nice, cute place such a low star review... I've had many many facials- including dermaplaning in the past. This was unlike anyyythinggg I've ever experienced. It was aggressive- so rough! She cut me and I was bleeding a bit on my lip... and my entire face afterwards was red, irritated, swollen...I was terrified that it wouldn't improve overnight (it did). I wonder if it was just the team member I had or if the techniques used are company wide... I don't have any allergies/sensitivities to any products or ingredients. I would be giving them only one star but I added one because another team member was very kind, sent me home with products to help the redness/swelling, and even called to check in on me a few days later. I've been going here for a few months and I'be noticed major changes in my overall skin texture, pore size and acne scarred areas. I've had PRP with micro-needling twice, Fraxel twice and two peels. Fraxel- I love it and I'm definitely a believer! I saw significant differences after the first session! It started to break up the sun spotted damaged areas around my eyes and my acne scars around my jawline. Also I noticed an immediate difference on my forehead and cheek areas with my pores becoming more refined!! Overall you're skin glows with long-lasting/ permanent effects. PRP with microneedling- immediately there's a little glow but I didn't see big changes until weeks later, I could tell when it kicked in and my entire face looked rejuvenated- my pores especially, were almost non existent! No pain and done with local numbing cream. Peels- I'm not a fan of them in general but was used to maximize result in between Fraxel sessions. They have 1 that's medium strength and my mom (who regularly does them) noticed a difference in overall skin radiance. Products- I bought a few so I could get the most out of my treatment since it was recommended (not pushed but when I asked) but honestly I'm not into buying anything new unless there's a necessity for it and I really know it will work. I was actually a supporter once my mom (who works in the medical industry) read the ingredients on some of them at home and said "wow these are great quality products with a lot of homeopathic ingredients"... it meant a lot coming from a woman who constantly reads labels on everything skin related and usually tells me to save my $$$. The decor is bright and inviting and the selection of services for things like Botox, Dysport and wellness products is impressive. Patty is great, my daughters and I have been going to her for years. I have had top injectors in New York, LA and Miami inject me and she was able to achieve better results than they did. She also used more needles which kept my bruising to a minimum. I discovered this place through the SXSW Wellness Expo. I was asked to schedule an appointment for a free facial and opted in since I worked just down the street and thought it might be nice to pop in for a quick relaxing facial on my lunch break one day. Boy was I wrong! From the beginning the vibe when I walked in seemed very cold and pretentious. I was asked to sit down and then given an ipad to fill in details about myself, however was not asked how my day was, welcomed in, or asked for any refreshment. Once I completed a lengthy questionnaire I was taken to another room very close to the waiting area where there were several chairs grouped together where I was to get my facial (I have never experienced this before, in the few times I've had facials in the past I was always taken to a private room where I could lie down with dim lighting and candles, etc). The facial was OK, although it did not include any masks and stung a bit. I thought the burning/tingling was normal as there was another woman in the same room having the same treatment commenting how she was experiencing the same sensations. That evening I noticed was my skin was still quite red but thought it would look better in the morning. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror the next day to see my skin was dry, red, and peeling along my nose and cheeks. It has been a little over a week since this and my skin is just starting to get back to normal (which is generally very good, supple, smooth, even toned skin). In addition, after my facial I was shown the myriad of products they had used on my face and asked if I would like to purchase any of them to take home. When I asked for the prices I received once again a very irritated and quiet response. I decided to get four of the 6 which were priced somewhat reasonably at $28, $32, and $60, or so I thought. After I had provided payment I asked for a receipt (again annoyed response) and after looking at it noticed my bill had come to $250, a little more than I was prepared for in that moment. When I asked for the prices again I found it one item was actually $160 not $60. After finding this out I asked if it would be a problem to return that one item as it costed significantly higher than what I had thought. Now she was really irritated! She said, and I quote "You should have told me when you gave me your card". I explained that I had heard her wrong and that she had said it was $100 less than the actual cost. She stated she was unable to return it at the moment as she was filling in and didn't know how to do that but that someone else, who was in a meeting at the time, would do it later. I agreed and left. I received a call about 10 minutes later stating that the return had been processed, when I asked for a receipt I was told it would be sent to me via text. After a few hours with no text I asked again and it was sent in a snip, no text attached. Anyway getting back to post-facial skin issues, I am aware that I have a sensitivity to salicylic acid, however as I don't have problems with breakouts it's not really an issue for me. During the facial I was asked what kinds of concerns I had with my skin and I mentioned dryness and the sensitivity. I was told not to worry about any of their products as they are all all-natural, however it turns out that the cleanser they used and I purchased had salicylic acid as the main ingredient, ie the peeling. I ended up calling and talking to someone about my experience and I was asked to first take a picture of my skin and text it to them (as proof I guess since I could be lying just to be mean) and to return in a few days so they could take a look at my skin in person (in case I had sent a photo of someone who was not me?). After looking at my face with gloves for about 10 minutes they determined (shocker) I have a sensitivity to salicylic acid! They offered to return the cleanser I had purchased, but not the other items. I still have two of their products, but honestly I am afraid to use them. I checked the ingredients and although they do not contain salicylic acid I can't pronounce half of the other ingredients. I think I will just have to chock all of this up to experience, throw away the products, and go back to my trusty lush (where all of the ingredients are not only pronounceable but generally foods I digest). read more
