I recently went to this studio for the first time and left very distressed. Before my appointment, I filled out the studio's online intake and consent forms. On the forms, I clearly indicated two areas of my body where I did NOT want to be touched. During the massage, my therapist touched those zoned off areas three times. The first time, it shocked me because I had clearly not consented to that area being worked on. I quickly asked the therapist to not touch me there and she didn't even verbally acknowledge me--she just moved her hands. It was deeply unsettling, and it happened two more times. I couldn't believe it. In the end, I paid over $200 for a session that left me feeling violated instead of rejuvenated. I don't know if this happened due to a lack of therapist training or a procedural failure. In either case, my consent form clearly wasn't reviewed in advance. I have attempted to resolve this issue privately with the studio by submitting feedback through their Listen360 survey (which I assume is not anonymous because it collects my initials). I waited a week for a response, but none came. I'm sharing this story because we ALL deserve to feel safe, heard, and respected in their own bodies. I hope the studio takes this seriously and ensures nothing like this happens again. read more

I had my second massage at this location recently and it was fantastic. I booked with Devan for 90 minutes. I described my areas of concern and that I haven't felt satisfied at the end of previous massages despite explaining these concerns. He assured me he would start in that area and he wouldn't move on without checking with me. He worked some massage magic and it's evident he takes a lot of pride in his work. Devan truly cares about bringing relief to his client and I'm happy to know he's there! He's also happy to meet his client where they prefer when it comes to talking, he can be quiet or accommodate pleasant conversation. Devan is a star! The girls at the front desk and answering the phone are always pleasant, friendly, and helpful. 4 stars just cuz this is your basic chain massage spot. read more

It is a great place to try if you need a last-minute or later appointment slot, lowering rating because of hidden cost and therapist who seemed a bit inexperienced. I used to go to the Bellevue one all the time so I recognized the name when I moved to the Kent area and have tried it twice, once a year or so ago and another time more recently. The recent booking process was easy - the receptionist even text me available times in addition to leaving me a voicemail, in response to my voicemail for an appointment, which I appreciated. What I didn't like is that there were a couple different times they could've told me about the prenatal massage add-on fee but didn't, until it was time for me to check out. Not when I spoke to them on the phone to book the appointment or when I purchased the holiday gift cards before my prenatal massage and got confirmation I could apply one that day to that massage. Surprise fees are never a good thing in the service industry. Beyond that, I think charging $110 (before gratuity) for a 50-minute massage when you're not a spa that includes the spa environment or use of onsite amenities is overpriced. The therapist I saw was fine, but for someone who receives weekly massages I got the impression she was new to the industry. For example we focused on my upper half and literally all she massaged was my neck and shoulders. Typically therapists also will massage the arms to balance out the pressure applied to neck and shoulders only. It's a place I'd go to in times when I need something last-minute but won't be making it my regular massage place. read more

About 6 months ago, I lucked out when someone canceled last minute and I was able to get in with Jessica. Every time I go there, I continue to walk out feeling like I've had one of the best massages of my life and that's saying something given how many I've had. I have some anxiety about massages given past experiences but immediately felt at ease and comfortable. Jessica has a great way of making the massage feel amazing while also trying to unclog the traffic jam of knots that are all over my body. Frankly, I did not know how much tension I was holding in different parts of my body (how are my arms knotted?!) until I started seeing her. I highly recommend the Himalayan stones - amazing!! I put them off a long time thinking 'how great could some hot stones feel?'' and what a difference they make! Now the front desk is onto me and I fall for it every time they ask if I want the hot stone treatment. I went in for a one hour with Maggie and wow was she amazing! She used Himalayan salt stones to help relax the muscles while she worked on the knots. What a world of difference that made! My neck could barely move before I came in and now I'm ready for back flips. The only thing I regret is not doing 90 min. I would love 30 more minutes of that muscle melting therapy. She also does fantastic stretching on your muscles after your more relaxed. If your looking for a way to get rid of tension and get some good muscle stretchs in with nice pressure... Went here on Valentine's Day, not for some romantic couples massage or happy self-care session, but because for a week my neck and back were so knotted up I was waking in extreme pain in the middle of the night, with spasms. I called, desperate for an appointment but, unfortunately, very constrained on time due to my work schedule. It looked like it would be two weeks before they could get me in. But not 10 minutes after I scheduled that appointment, the receptionist called back- someone had just cancelled, and would I want to come in a few days from now? YAY! I got my massage with Cat, who was great with my bruise-easily-total-wuss level of pressure. She didn't try to be chatty, just let me relax and occasionally checked in. I was really impressed by how caring the entire staff was- I'm sensitive to scents, and allergic to fruit. They had put a little bit of orange essential oil in water, but when I mentioned my sensitivities they went out of their way to ensure I had fresh, fruit-free, cold water, non-scented lotion and environment in the massage room, etc. It was really nice to feel pampered and NOT like I have to excuse my body's fragility to total strangers. What a change! Afterward, the receptionists were sweet as could be, and fun- laughing and joking with me while I (of course) signed up for the monthly thing and made my next appointment. I'm happy to say Cat worked all the bad knots out, and no back spasms since. If I could afford it, I'd get a massage here every week (but instead will settle for once a month). If you're looking for a skilled, professional, personal, pampering massage, I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

I have had NOTHING but amazing experiences here. I have had Cat and Bill as my masseuse and they have been so great! Both very professional and listen to my needs. Sadly, my schedule doesn't not work with Cat's schedule, and that's how I discovered Bill! He is a very cool dude, and having recently being worked harder at work, I am needing very deep tissue massage and he delivers. I feel like if you walk in or call, tell scheduling what you're looking for they will match you up with the masseuse that is right for you! I am so happy to have gotten a Groupon to start me off here. I became a wellness member here meaning I pay $59 for a massage a month, which is pretty cheap compared to others and the unused massages roll over. Just check it out for your self! This place is cold! They keep the ambient temp at a brisk 50 degrees...how comfortable being unclothed on a massage table at 50 you might ask....? NOT VERY. When informed of this in August, they said they would work on it. When scheduling a massage again in September they had assured us over the phone that the issue was resolved...but...to our dismay....it wasn't. After being informed that there would be a cancellation fee we decided it was time to go find another massage shop. read more

I have nothing bad to say about the quality of their therapists. I have always had amazing massages , especially by Rebecka. She is highly skilled ! My issue lies when I got a call roughly 2 hrs before my husbands appt to cancel it because our therapist was out sick, which I totally understand. I asked to reschedule the appt and gave the receptionist many dates that would work for us. She proceeded to tell me that every date I asked about was full.. I even asked about a weekend 4 weeks out and she told me that my therapist was out the whole weekend. I went on to the online portal today to schedule and I discovered that Rebecka actually has all the dates that I asked about available ? I am not sure why she told me she was 100% booked. I emailed the Kent manager about this issue, and I never received an answer back ? While their massage therapists are great, their customer service is poor. read more

Woke up sore today. Needed An emergency massage for my pain, called elements and one thing I do appreciate is that they were able to fit me in within an hour. Before I start my review I want to put it out there that I have had many massages over the last 20 years, I get them done regularly, my massage therapist was not available so this was an emergency, so they put me in with Maggan (Megan). As I am leaving this review I'm sitting here with a migraine after this massage. This was probably the worst massage I have ever had in my life and believe me I've had bad massages. First of all I went in there for a one hour massage the massage session began at 1:45 PM and by 2:20 the massage therapist got up and said that my massage is over, so I complained to her and with an attitude she proceeded to finish off the hour. She did my feet and that was probably The best 10 minutes of that massage. The areas they were actually hurting me still hurt and maybe even worse now. And I got a migraine because I don't know what the heck she was doing for my neck. And the jerking movements did not help either. The massage therapist burped twice during the massage session, of course she apologized but I'm sorry it's so unprofessional, I couldn't relax, because she was breathing so heavily I couldn't even hear the music. One nice thing about the place is that at the front desk that they treat me nicely they were apologetic. Anyways. The whole experience today was just horrible. read more
