The staff are friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful. I've been a Carpenter since 2005 and have done my share of damage to my body over the years. I have a ton of issues that have diminished my quality of life. I have seen my share of Chiropractors and even did some acupuncture to only find minimal relief. At Pearson I saw two different massage therapist that had two different approaches to my aliments. I found both techniques in one visit each extremely helpful in increasing my quality of life. I cannot say enough good things about Pearson Chiropractic! Seriously... these guys here know their stuff! My love for this place goes back to 2010 when my kids all went to a local high school (GO CONQUERORS), and the head coach encouraged the players to see Jay and his staff here for any type of stretching, and type of physical work needed. I would often see the owner on the field for games, and to see him develop such a great relationships with all the kids. So when it came to my own personal need for some relief, the first place that came to mind was Pearson's. As of right now, my entire family will come and see him at some point or other. I can tell you, I have felt so much physical relief from various therapies and work that has been done, with my neck, back, and legs. What I love the most is that before they do anything, from stretching to icing or heating, they explain what they're about to do, what's the purpose, and always checking in on your well being... in other words. The quality of work here is great. But the scheduling and front desk help needs a lot of work. Poor communication. I waited for a whole hour even when I had an appointment set. Makes no sense, I asked why and one of the girls in the front desk seem to be new said that one of the doctors called out. Dr. Brandon Thompson was helping me out with chronic low back pain from when I was deadlifting. The adjustments always hit right and also gave strengthening/stretching/soft tissue tips I should do at home to prevent that same injury again. Terrible Customer Service & Wait Time Came here for my initial appointment and the wait room was full. The girl at the front desk told me it'll be awhile before they get to me even though I has an appointment & I completed my forms prior to arriving. I decided to reschedule for another time. When I walk in for my rescheduled appointment there was only two people ahead of me. I turned in my form and waited. I noticed 4 more people came after me, but they were called in while I continued waiting. After 30 mins the gal in front told me it'll be my turn after a room becomes available. At that point I decided to leave. The only reason I decided to go here was because they were close to my house and they had a massage therapist there, but when I inquire about scheduling an appointment it wouldn't be for 1.5 - 2 months out. I see no point in coming here anymore. I tried to be patience, but it's ridiculous that I've came twice & I'm constantly waiting over 30 mins even with an appointment. Very unprofessional! Another note, when I originally schedule my first appointment the gal said she would email me some forms to complete. It was NEVER done. I had to go in and get it. Luckily I was going to Safeway so it wasn't too far out for me, but definitely inconvenient. Also, the girls sitting in the front should stop gossiping and focus on their work more. Maybe if they completed my intake forms in a timely manner it might have been a shorter wait. I do not care to hear their gossip while I'm sitting in the front waiting either. Had an appointment in July they canceled that on me and couldn't reschedule until September then canceled that appointment and told me now it was October. They have no reliability or concern for you! I've just recently started to be seen here and have been very pleased with the treatment. Everyone who works there is super friendly and chatty, which is good if you like that sort of thing. Plenty of openings for chiropractor services. Massages are not as open for scheduling but the appointments are longer and I don't think they work every day. I am deducting two stars for their lax policy for masks right now. The staff is wearing them and most patients. Today I was in and there were two patients sitting in the waiting room with no masks. One was loudly speaking in the back and lying all over equipment with no mask and no one enforced it. I really like the staff here but in these times, that's not okay. They say everyone must wear masks but they do not enforce it. read more

I was a regular patient for chiropractic, acupuncture and massage so I saw what a busy, messed up practice this was. The front desk staff was friendly enough and did their best to keep up. The chiropractic side was a one size fits all approach. Churning patients through with little regard for their unique condition. Billing was a mess. Be sure to get a receipt with dates and amounts each time you make a payment. One massage therapist dislocated my rib which caused me a lot of pain and time off work. I brought this to the attention of Dr. Pearson who actually laughed at me and said I must have slept funny. Months later I still have that problem. Choose another clinic. read more

I've been seeing Jay and his staff for upwards of 8 years and they've always been helpful. I've had chronic back problems since I was 14 years old and now with age, all kinds of nonsense creeps up of which Jay always puts my mind at ease or tells me next steps. I have seen some super shady/creepy Chiropractors, but never once did I feel ill-at-ease with this Doctor. He's down to earth, knowledgeable, and responsive. Although, I know it can be frustrating, they never rush you in and out, which does cause a delay in service - I appreciate the fact that I can ask all my questions without them clock watching. read more

Ok so overall experience is good. Staff were friendly. I had never been to a chiropractor before so it was all new to me. Went in for shoulder pain that is reoccurring. However even though deep down inside I knew it was muscular, I thought I wouldn't hurt to see a chiropractor. Went in for two visits where they only focused on my back. The "alignments" felt good. Though I don't feel like for my shoulder made a difference. They had suggested I return 3 times and week and then scale down to less and less and try massages. Though I do feel massages could make a difference. I felt like it was just a money driven suggestion and not tailored to my specific concern. I know it's not really there expertise, but if it wasn't, I should have been told to see my primary care doc or something like that. Anywho. I'm not a fan of having to write negative reviews, so I'll start with a compliment - everyone I've dealt with at this clinic is very nice and friendly. We've been taking our 2 month old to see Dr. Pearson for a couple of weeks, after a lip/tongue tie revision and a slightly traumatic birth. He has shown some improvement, so that's a plus. Unfortunately, we likely won't be back to this clinic. Out of 4 or 5 appointments, we have not waited LESS than 30 minutes past our appointment time to be seen. I have a 2 year old and my 2 month old - as most parents know, waiting that long in a small room with small children is not pleasant. At our last appointment, we were waiting *40 minutes* before we decided to just leave without being seen. Our daughter was having a meltdown, our baby was inconsolable because it was time for him to be fed, and we just couldn't wait any longer. At no time has anyone acknowledged or apologized for the extremely long wait time. Not even a "sorry about that!" We like the doctors. The front desk is pleasant. But even without kids, I would never continue to go to a clinic where standard wait time WITH an appointment is 30-40 minutes. And that's not including trying to be there 5-10 minutes early so *we* aren't late!! I'm not sure why this is such a huge issue, maybe their scheduling needs some work, but sadly we're done with this clinic. Again - nice staff, decent results, if you don't mind sitting and waiting forever. read more

I have been to Pearson Chiropractic several times over the past years. Here is my take on it after many visits (it took me a while). Although the basic chiropractic adjustments are not too bad, there are some major issues as far as I am concerned. Here is my list. There is little to no privacy. All adjustment rooms are doorless and you can hear loud conversations between Chiropractor and patients in other rooms and they can hear yours. Some things need to be talked about in private, health issues are one of those and this is not respected at this clinic. You want an adjustment, fair enough. But after being adjusted you will also bet led out to and placed (without being asked if you want it) on a table with auto roller that rolls up and down your spine for about 10 minutes then shuts off. You probably assume this is just part of the treatment. The problem is that in addition to the chiropractic adjustment fee you will be charged an additional $35 fee for the roller table. If your insurance covers this additional fee you will probably be none the wiser. However if your insurance does not cover it you will receive an additional bill for the roller table. Nice huh. I didn't realize for the longest that my insurance was being billed for this extra service. Nice work if you can get it huh doc? After your first visit they will, with authority, tell you that you will be seen several times per week for about a month and then taper off as the Chiropractor sees fit. My problem was I felt I needed a couple of treatments per month as too many adjustments make me sore and actually feel worse. They don't really like you to tell them how often you will be seen. If your insurance will pay for 15 visits they want to get all 15. I did not see them for about 9 months and finally felt the need to see them again FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, no new issues. Since I had not been for a few months they decided I needed another questionnaire exam. They sent in an assistant, not the chiropractor, who asked me about 5 questions. This took about 4 minutes tops. For this I was billed an additional $125.00 on top of my chiropractic adjustment and roll table fee. So about $220. Totally unnecessary as the chiropractor had seen me many times for the same exact back problem, no changes. In short I think this is a chiropractor mill with hidden, unnecessary fees. They move you along as fast as they can and rake in the dough with extra unnecessary services with fees attached. That's what this place is. You like that? Fine. Give them your money. They will get no more of mine. Ever. read more

The chiropractors are very good but shady business practices. I don't recommend using heat prior to adjustments or ice afterwards cause they charge $35 dollars for it and don't tell you and you find this out when the bill arrives... just an example of their shadiness. read more

I'm literally flabbergasted at the service I received today. They have child sized chairs in the waiting room area and also in the exam rooms (see photos). If you can't into the child sized chairs or the two normal sized chairs that they have in the waiting room, you have to sit on a deep bench that has zero back support (see photos). Massage/electric beds are all in a large open air room, so zero privacy when you are on an electric/massage bed. I had one of the most awkward, bizarre encounters I've ever had with Dr Pollard. She suggested I seek unemployment for an on the job injury. How can you be a chiropractor and not know how LNI works? I accidentally overpaid them $55, and they wouldn't refund my money. They said they would hold my money hostage until they found out what my insurance would pay for my exam. Front office staff both look and act like they are fresh out of high school. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful. I honestly can't figure out how this place is still in business. read more

The overall experience isn't good. No flexibility in scheduling and to be honest, front desk didn't understand patient needs. For example, asked for after 5, and they repeatedly tried to book me for 2 or 3. Essentially, I was told they couldn't see me when I was able to make it clear what time frame I needed (this was my 6th plus visit). ALSO, BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are a rehabilitation center but aren't licensed so insurance companies won't cover them as a provider. They know this and don't disclose and then you are responsible for non-covered services due to their fraudulent behavior. When questioned, we were told that we tried to determine benefits but... Well, had they told me Aetna wouldn't pay them, it would have negated the determination of benefits. ALSO, just love the additional charges not covered by insurance for the "rolling table" and ice. They don't tell you this, you find out when you are charged $45 for the table, ummm wow! Overall, not a fan and will never go back. Despite this, they still text and email me as it "has been a while since my last visit." Yes, it will be NEVER before I go back. read more

The biggest mistake of going here. Watch out for the bait and switch. Called and asked about pricing. Was told it will only be $59 for the treatment was told what the treatment entailed. But was never told about the $119 exam fee (which took 10 minutes) and other consult fee of $79 dollars and rolling table fees and came in and that quickly ballooned to $232.00 in two visits which took a cumulative of 60 minutes and 20 minutes of it was waiting. Dr Pearson has always treated me for aliments that put me on the sidelines. As an active male I can hurt my back, tweak an elbow, or even a shoulder from time to time. Jay does a great job in talking through injury prevention, treatment, and recovery. One of the coolest treatments hid did for me was the Graston Technique on my shoulder. Where I struggled throwing a simple skipping rock he was able to get my throwing motion back with a few treatments. I was amazed of his confidence to treat and mitigate the issues. Beyond the chiropractic 'back crack' Dr Pearson will help you in most body movement issues if you give him a chance. I went to the Lakeland Hills location and he did a great job on my back. Visited numerous times. This is just a warning: During COVID I hurt my back again and had the same adjustment as he had previous done. Exactly. I paid my $55 at the time of service. I later started receiving a statement saying I owed another $25 due to the fact he had performed an exam on me also. He did nothing more than the usual adjustment. I informed them of this and they still chose to take the $25 from my credit card. They did this knowing I will never be back due to these types of business practices. read more

I've been getting treated at Pearson Chiropractic for about seven months now. I was dealing with severe back pain and then was in a car accident a month into treatment. Now, six months later, I feel GREAT.Six months may seem like a long time but it is nothing for car accident injuries on top of what I was dealing with before. No more problems with my back, legs, or neck. I get frequent tweaks but not everyday pain like I was dealing with before. The receptionist team is always super nice to me, despite how awkward I am. I've gone through massage therapy with both Dana and Bethany, both of whom are great at what they do and are so easy to talk to. I've started seeing a new chiropractor, after being sucked into nursing school for two years and not treating my back the way it needed to be treated doing CNA work as well. The office is incredibly convenient to my home. (3-minute drive!) It's clean, fresh, and nicely laid out. I've been there 4 times now and the wait is never more than 5 minutes. I appreciate the text reminders and being able to schedule my appointments out quite a ways. Dr. Pollard is friendly and really gets to know you as a patient... and doesn't beat the crap out of you during adjustments. I really like the icing massage table at the end. Im not even signed up as a patient yet but I already dealt with RECEPTION people who doesnt know what theyre doing. I was scheduled for an appt for a new patient. They called the day before to confirm. Knowing that its a new patient appt I confirmed. Next day I called to see if I can come by earlier. They agree to switch at 12pm. Then someone called back saying I have two appts. 1 for new patient and 1 for massage. I tried telling them I didnt make an appt for a massage. I was told It was an appt for a new patient and will have a massage but never said it was 2 separate appts and never told me. But then I was unsuccessful. They told me that I am going to get charged $75 if I dont show up. And another $50 for a massage? I asked her How would I make an appt for something that I get for free with my insurance? the talk wasnt going anywhere So I said ill just go there after my other appt so I can talk to them in person but I got stuck in traffic so I wasnt able to make it. I called to keep them updated of where I was and if I was or I wasnt going to make it. But then the lady who originally set me up for appt decided to give me an attitude, Even if I was already winning the argument she was still willing to fight you and dont care is shes saying the same thing over and over again. I even told her that some of my friends and families goes them, What if I tell them how you treat your customers? She said"WE DONT CARE ! GO AHEAD TELL ALL OF THEM !!" Woooooow! Mmmkay! I have been seeing Dr. Pollard for my back/neck pain for years. I don't go in regularly. I only go when my back hurts due to bad posture... Dr. Pollard is sweet and knowledgeable, and she doesn't give me hard time for not going in regularly!!! My experience with Dr. Pollard has always been very pleasant and effective. The wait time has never been more than a few minutes!!! Dr Pollard has excellent techniques in delivering good results that lasts!!!! We had a concern with billing and the services and asked to speak to the Doctor. I was always told that he was busy and would call us back, but he never ever did. After multiple attempts (calls and emails) we stopped trying... as well as stopped going. I'm not sure if the gate keepers were just not relaying the message to the Dr. but we'll never know at this point. Terrible chiropractic office, don't go here. Every time I've gone I'm kept waiting in the lobby, without any acknowledgement, for a half hour after my appointment time. When I've finally gotten in, Dr. Pearson made it sound like he knew everything and my visit felt super rushed, no bed side manner like other places I've visited, no thorough questions as to what caused my back pain and how it would get fixed. Dr. Bell was way better on my second visit with him, but initial visit was much of the same experience I had with Dr. Pearson; rushed and not thorough. Each time I left staff didn't even know what my co-pay was lol it was super unprofessional. Oh and as I'm typing this I completely forgot about my first interaction with the front desk. I gave them my insurance and they couldn't figure out how to bill them, I had to do a three way call with insurance so Dr. Pearsons office could figure it out. Don't waste your time here. We took our son in their office today for a sports injury. In a day and age where privacy concerns have made doctor's visit cold and impersonal, these people do none of that but manage to still respect your space. I have several issues with this place and haven't even received the bill yet which was told the pricing but scared to see what happens. My 1st appointment, I have it with a guy and he takes me to the back and takes an x-ray without asking if that is okay and if it's covered in my insurance. And I ask if we can look at it and he said no we will be going over it in your 2nd appointment. Um, if I don't come back I won't ever see the results. A doctor goes over it right away since your paying for it. I should see my results while I am there the 1st time. He had the pictures but wouldn't go over it with me. Just wants my money. I leave and make a 2nd appointment but want to make it with Dr. Pollard so over the phone I make an appointment and ask I want it with Dr. Pollard and she confirms its with her. I get there and get into a room with heat on and the same guy walks in and handles my appointment. Then he goes over my x-rays which look fine and says i need all these adjustments multiple times a week for several weeks, massages, etc. and doesn't even talk about or work with me on where my pain actually is. I felt like i was dealing with a used car salesman. They just wanted my money. I can't afford multiple appointments even with insurance and gave me no other options. I will see what happens with the bill but I am not going here again. read more

The staff is very friendly here and makes you feel great. The doctors are friendly and everyone here has a very positive attitude. They also offer the first visit (xrays, exam and consultation) for free! I always feel better when I leave and after weeks of consistently going I feel great! Last week I noticed I was having severe back pain, and on Thursday my back gave out and I had to go to the ER. I started coming here as part of my follow-up from the ER last week. I have to say that I really enjoy my visits for adjustments 3 times a week. All of the staff here are super-friendly and attentive. Dr. Pearson is a down-to-earth guy who tells it like it is, which I really appreciate. Another doctor in there, Dr. Tibbitts, is very friendly and outgoing, and will keep you laughing. I found this place by looking up chiropractors on Yellow Pages and Yelp, so in some ways it was just a random choice but I feel as if I really lucked out.
