I have been going to Sol Touch regularly for over a year. First, there seems to be a lot of…read moreturnover in staff. I've had 4 different massage therapists in the past year. Sounds like management isn't great, and there was a recent mass exodus. The current (new) person I see is great. Sol Touch is NOT a place where you go for a nice relaxing spa like massage. This is a place you go if you have targeted problem areas that you need someone to work on for pain relief, recovery from injury, etc.

Tonight I saw Tresca, and I left in a total daze. I cannot remember the last time I felt so physically relaxed. I am pretty sure I fell asleep in the session and I can't remember the last time that's happened either. Tresca offered pain relief and in a way that was so calming my entire system settled- and that is beyond amazing to and for me, I am very grateful. I love the north Scottsdale location of the NOW- from the moment you walk in, the scent starts working on your mood and the sounds of the ocean in the treatment area drowns out the noise. There are several amazing therapists there and I'm so glad I can add Tresca to the list.

The complimentary massage was with Trang, who did a fantastic job. It was clear that she was talented and paid attention to my areas of focus/concern. She also provided a full 80 minutes of her time, as expected. Had my original experience been with Trang, The NOW would have received an easy 5-star review from me. I am changing my overall rating to 4/5 due to the hassle and frustration I originally had to deal with. That said, management and ownership did the right thing. Bad experiences (or just bad fits) can happen, but the difference between a good business and a bad one is what management and ownership do to address those issues. 5 stars to management and ownership, 5 stars to Trang, and 4 stars overall given my specific experience. I can comfortably recommend this location, as long as you are willing to speak up if you don't get what you deserve. After my first experience, I would not have considered this location in the future. After management/ownership intervened, and after my experience with Trang, I can confidently say I will return, and if my experience is anything like the one I had with Trang, I'll be happy to follow up with a 5-star review.

I had to pay in advance of the service, which I always find odd, but also can understand. They take credit card payment and you can tip using the card too, but of course cash is best for tip. I had a really awesome massage from the lady, got her name, and received their card, but when I got home I discovered there was like a stamp program thing on the back of the card and they didn't provide that lol. The next time I got a massage, I asked for two hours and they didn't make me pay in advance. I got another lady and she started off really bad by slapping my neck around that I was just about to ask for someone else and then it got better as she actually massages me. She was good for the most part, but then I noticed she was on her phone while she was massaging me. You know, the one handed massage. The buzz of the phone. The clicking of her typing? Now you shouldn't do that at all, but I can understand if you need to do a quick read and reply text since--stuff happens. But she was constantly on it so I stopped the massage and she was surprised. I told her I was stopping the massage because she was on the phone and she looked shocked and apologized. She told me it would be a 90 minute massage charge which I said fine, but when I got home, I realized it has only been like a maybe 75 minute massage. So not only did she make me cut the massage short when I wanted two hours, but she over charged me! I still tipped well, but I was a little annoyed. I got her name and then asked for the prior girl's name so I could book with that girl again. The one thing she did do for me was mark my card twice to reflect my first service so I appreciated that. It really does depend who you get! The third time I went back to the first girl and had a 90 minute massage which was pretty good again. I wanted to go back the next day, but got busy so now I'll be going back today:). Because of the second girl, I had to lower my stars and honestly, I would have lowered it to three, but that really isn't fair to the business since most people don't take the time to read the reason why so thats why it's four stars. If it hasn't been for that second lady, I would have given this five stars since I had great massage at very reasonable costs. There's ample parking outside. It's quiet with great relaxing soft music playing. Massage oil is okay--not too smelly. The first girl is very thorough in her massage and I appreciate that as that is rare. They have a bathroom for use and it looked like maybe a shower as well? I haven't used the shower. I'm sure I'll be coming back for more massages and can recommend at least for the girl I like. Sorry, I won't say her name cuz I want to make sure I can always book her last minute.

Over the years, I have seen a pretty significant decline in the quality of their therapists. I would like to take a moment to compliment Maria, on a recent massage. I can honestly say it was one of the top five massages I've ever received, including some amazing ones while traveling internationally, who tend to be much more thorough, than the US. Her pressure was perfect, she hit all the sore spots and helped to work them out without going so deep that it was painful, and I couldn't relax. I am so excited to have found someone with her talent, and I absolutely plan to go back again soon. I hope the company realizes what a gem they have in her!

The admin staff are kind and fair. I had to call and cancel a massage at one point when my vehicle was hit and badly damaged by a negligent driver on the freeway. They didn't even bat an eye. The appointment that morning was quickly cancelled, and I was not penalized for a last minute cancellation. Anthony M. is an absolutely wonderfully gifted masseuse. He is able to work miracles with my neck and lower back pain since the accident. I am not exaggerating when I say, he had reduced my pain significantly more dramatically than physical therapy, chiropractic care, and even trigger point injections.
