We tried this place for the first time on our way home from vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. It was a fairly easy on and off the highway drive, was decorated with loads of sports memorabilia, and had a super friendly staff. I had to get an orange crush because it's such a typical Maryland thing and it was tasty. Both of us enjoyed our meals. I had the pulled pork sandwich. I asked for no coleslaw and ended up with it anyway, but I just pulled it off - no biggie. With my seafood allergy, I couldn't have any of the fried foods since they don't have a dedicated fryer for allergens. I'm used to this though and our server was great with suggestions. read more

Our visit started on a Tuesday night about 10 minutes before happy hour ended. My partner and I sat down, and were waiting for the rest of our party of 6 to show up. It was our first time, and the happy hour menu looked promising, so we were hoping to sneak some items in before 6pm. Before we could order, the rest of our party showed up, and it ended up taking 15 minutes for the server to greet us. I think the most awkward part is that I saw her walk by the table more than 5 times and she never introduced herself. She was avoiding us so much that I was convinced we had a different server. Then after my family joined me and she still didn't say anything I was certain, until she finally came by to take our drink order. Now I understand that the restaurant industry is a lot of hustle, I worked in a restaurant for almost 7 years, but when you are already walking by a table several times, and you see that happy hour is ending, it seems very intentional to not see if we would want to order regardless of our party being present. Also... she wasn't that busy. My parents drove 7 hours from NC, and were a little annoyed that she took so long to come to the table (a little hangry perhaps) and it made things a little awkward for the rest of the evening. They made a comment that we intended to order off the happy hour menu but she didn't come by in time seeing if she would still put some things in for us and said "oh well...". Don't get me wrong, she was nice, but if you are the reason your table can't order in time, maybe you should make an exception. Beyond that, the food was fine. My partner got the burger, and it was okay but nothing like it was hyped up to be. The "seasoned fries" didn't taste seasoned. My brother and I got the Nashville chicken tacos. Mine were fine, but somehow he got the honey gochugang sauce on his, as well as his girlfriend on her Nashville chicken salad. The colors between the two sauces are very similar, so an easy mistake, but obviously it didn't go as well with the food. We live locally and love trying new places but overall, I think we won't be going back. Food was priced a little high for the lack of flavor. I enjoyed my lunch here. I ordered the alligator nuggets. It came with a sweet and spicy sauce. Very good! I also had the salmon blt on a wrap It was ok, also had a refreshing mule. Our server was SUPER NICE AND SUPER HELPFUL.. his name was RC. I appreciate him talking me into the gator bites. I enjoyed my lunch and would like to return. Plenty of parking available. Also they have the front and back area. They were pretty crowded so we dined in the back area. It also has a door so we didn't have to return to the front. New spot in Millersville! Welcoming atmosphere starts things off. Friendly host and staff for sure! Decor is cool and love the t-shirts. Nice specials and they have radio personalities on Thursday I believe. Game days Saturday and Sunday. Brunch both days as well. Food...awesome! Crab and Mac & Cheese balls were quite tasty. My favorite appetizer was the alligator bites. Whoooeeeeee! I've had the best ever in Louisiana and these were so close I was surprised! Excellent batter and VERY tender! My stunning wife got the Elephant Prime Cheeseburger. Pretty durn tasty! Great flavor and cooked just perfect. French fries cooked great and seasoned perfectly. I partook in the Tuna Poke Nachos. Again, a fabulous entree! Tuna was super fresh and tasted amazing! What really put it over the top was the fried wontons. Stupendous. Enough said! My princess also tried a Key Lime Coconut Margarita, which she said was quite tasty. A little tart at first, but we doctored it by squeezing the orange slices in to soften the tartness. I came here once after work by myself and was very impressed. I dragged my husband and daughter here after my husband said it's the top two places in Maryland which I agree. It is wonderful for brunch and the ambience inside is pretty fun. The service is very good very friendly people which makes everything even better. For several months leading up to their opening they were extremely active on social media. They promised an amazing experience that focused on the customer experience. I had high hopes for this restaurant when my husband and I visited on 2/25 or 26/2026. After seeing so many people post about it I encouraged my husband to order the Bourbon Smash drink. Typically this kind of drink come with fresh muddled fruit but they make theirs with some sort of syrup. The drink is very dark and did not have as good of a taste as anticipated. I had the fried pickles and the short rib sliders as an appetizer. The pickles were my favorite part of the whole meal. The short rib sliders were good but originally the server put in the order wrong and brought out the pulled pork sliders even after I specified the correct one twice (I saw that issue coming). She did not appear that serving tables would last long for her. I had the bourbon pork chop which was almost spicy due to an excessive amount of seasoning on it. It didn't taste bad. In person, the mashed potatoes looked slightly darker leading me to believe they might not have been very fresh. My husband had the burger and upgraded to the truffle fries. That was not worth the extra charge. You could slightly smell the truffle but could not taste it as all. Either they use a cheap brand of truffle oil or they don't drain the fries enough before tossing them which leads to the fryer oil overpowering the truffle. Later that night, my husband and I both had stomach issues a few hours apart. That was the only thing that my husband ate that day (he is a one meal a day guy).The only thing we both had were the short rib sliders. We did notice that that the menu is one of those multiple use ones (short rib sliders, short rib potato skins, short rib tacos, short rib entree, elephant stack has short ribs). That is five things with short rib. So how much are you making and how long is it sitting there!? When I asked the server for a dessert menu, she only mentioned two desserts that neither of us were interested in. The restaurant is pretty small. The owner was standing in the dining room on an iPad upon our arrival to the host stand. He did not notice us for a couple minutes until the host came out from the back of the restaurant. I figured that he would at least greet the five tables dining in (they only had 5 booths and a couple tables in addition to the bar). He was too focused on anticipating the arrival of the a group from the Chamber of Commerce who didn't even show up until we were leaving. I thought maybe he would have stopped by after the waitress brought us the wrong appetizer. Nope. Didn't acknowledge us even as we walked right past him out the door. No thanks for coming. How was everything? Their social media presence does not match the in person experience...at all. read more

Went here on a Sunday because we have been meaning to try. Arrived shortly after 6 and immediately got a table which was nice. The menu was simple and the options were good. It's a small place but not overly loud or crowded. Our server was nice and prompt. No complaints on the service or server. Here is why I have to leave a 3 star. Wife order the signature elephant drink. I ordered a simple Guinness. The signature drink (Elephant Stomp) came with a large ice ball. It's was a take on an old fashion but with basil and muddled pineapple. As pictured below, it was a piece of pineapple and a piece of basil with dark spots all over it. Frankly, with a price point of $22, it's a bit over priced. It's a $14-$16 drink at best. Adding Buffalo Trace doesn't justify the cost imo. Food: We ordered an appetizer of Alligator bites. They were ok, the dipping sauce that came with the dish was good. I wouldn't order again. My daughter ordered the pork sliders appetizer and she enjoyed them. My wife ordered the Blackened Shrimp Avocado Wrap (server said it was their favorite) and while a bit spicy for my wife maybe, it was a solid choice. I got the "Elephant Prime" Cheeseburger. While it does say it's made from brisket, chuck, and short rib, AND hand formed I was left unimpressed. I'm assuming that a mold was used because that patty was perfectly round. Not being rude, but it tasted like a previously frozen burger patty and lacked flavor. The bacon was a little chewy, the black garlic aioli was there but really didn't taste it. The overall greasiness of the patty kind of overpowered the sandwich as a whole. I finished most of it because I'm no quitter. I wouldn't order again. The French fries were standard restaurant fries and were fine. I think the biggest issues I have is the $$$. With tip, we spent $145.00. The $22 for a signature cocktail was crazy but shame on us for not seeing that before ordering. The burger was maybe worth $18 at best. Overall it was a lackluster meal for a large price. Edit: At around 130am I woke up with cold sweats and barely made it to the bathroom to throw up. Considering the only thing I had eaten all day, besides at the restaurant, was pancakes and bacon at 10am, seems a little suspicious. My son, who also had the burger, reported stomach issues. I think the issues stems from the burger. We both ordered them cooked medium, but both were "pink" throughout and more medium rare. We both eat burgers made at home that way so we just went with it. Order medium well if you want a medium burger. read more

The vibe is relaxed yet refined, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and TV screens throughout that make it perfect for catching a game without sacrificing ambiance. I had the carne asada tacos and the double-fried wings with Korean sauce, and my date ordered the Elephant Prime cheeseburger--all were delicious, well-seasoned, and clearly prepared with care. Even though we chose "classic" items, the menu itself is far from typical bar food, offering elevated Southern-inspired comfort dishes and creative gourmet options. Service is where Elephant in the Room really shines. Zeke, our bartender, deserves special mention for his mixology skills--he created a custom cocktail based on my preference for less sweet drinks, and it was spot-on. Roberto, the manager, was friendly, visible on the floor, and engaged with both staff and patrons, which added to the feeling of being genuinely welcomed. Joseph was moving nonstop, checking in and handling details with impressive attention and care. From the flat draft beer that wasnt drinkable to the house margarita that turned out to be over 16 dollars for rail tequila, we were surprised compared to the reviews online this far. People are VERY supportive to a new owner, which is super. We went Saturday around 6 PM and were eventually greeted by a lackluster bartender who was not capable of smiling or pretending to be mildly happy to be there. There were several customers sprinkled throughout the small place, not busy. No response from the male bartender when I explained needing to give my flat beer back, other than being sure to remind me that the house margarita was cheap tequila. No sir, it wasnt cheap, just from the well. ADDITIONALLY: There was no acknowledgement of this or apology. Just a blank stare as he waited for a new drink choice. Followed by the comment that the 16 dollar house margarita was going to be the cheap tequilla. Awkward. The place is small. I understand pics can be deceiving. This makes an actual enormous statue of an elephant in the room just an awkward waste of much needed space. This is clearly an old building, a dive bar with a new name, same bartender choices. The prices are upscale. The place and offerings were far from nice. ​would not return. I got a warm wrap and fries and house margarita. The wrap and fries were okay. Nowhere near worth the tab at the end of the stay. We tip well, regardless, but this is not the place we were excited about exploring and have no reason to return. read more

The atmosphere was lively and festive with many guests dressed in green for St. Patrick's Day which I completely forgot about! Our server, Destiny was delightful, friendly, attentive and truly helped make the evening feel special. I ordered the pan-seared salmon with cornbread and honey and collard greens. While the salmon was slightly dry and could have used a bit more seasoning, the overall flavor was still good and the cornbread added a warm, sweet complement to the meal. We ended up ordering short rib tacos, pork belly tacos, crab Mac & cheese balls and wings. The wings were just okay. They claim double fried but it did not give the crispiness expected. The crab Mac balls were the best thing we had. Very similar to other fried Mac and cheese balls you can get at several places with a little crab added. The tacos were meh at best. The short rib meat was one of the worst short rib related meals I have ever had. My husband wasn't a fan of the pork belly. Overall, it was nothing special. Service was okay but nothing stood out for me to want to come back or suggest this to friends and family. I recently visited Elephant in the Room in Millersville as part of a group of about 20 people, and I was really impressed--especially for a restaurant that's only been open a few weeks. We were seated in a private back room that was spacious, comfortable, and well-lit, which made for a really nice group dining experience. I started with an Amaretto Sour ($8), which was not only well-balanced and enjoyable, but also came with a large spherical ice cube that just made me smile--such a nice touch. For appetizers, I had the Southern Deviled Eggs ($9.95), and they were excellent. The filling was creamy and flavorful, and the addition of crab meat on top elevated them beyond the usual deviled eggs. I forgot to take a picture of this dish. My friends and I ate it so fast. lol My entrée was the Creole Pasta ($28), with sausage, shrimp, and penne. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the portion size was very generous--I happily took leftovers home and am already looking forward to finishing them. For dessert, I tried the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream ($12), which our server recommended since it's made fresh. It did not disappoint. It was served warm, with three smaller scoops of ice cream that complemented rather than overwhelmed the dish. The balance was perfect. A special shoutout to our main server, Roberto, who--along with two additional staff--took excellent care of our large group. Service was attentive, smooth, and friendly throughout. I also appreciated that the restaurant did not automatically add gratuity for a large party, which is increasingly rare. Given the outstanding service, I was more than happy to tip 20%. Overall, a fantastic experience with great food, thoughtful presentation, and excellent service. I'm excited to come back and see how they continue to grow. read more

I also was not expecting the waitress to drop a bottle of wine and wine glasses on the table, tell us to enjoy and walk away.
