Found out about Libations on IG almost a year ago and my perfect opportunity to visit was recently with a friend who met up with me from Annapolis. I'm glad we visited on a Sunday because Sunday is all day happy hour. They also have tvs around the bar so it's a great place to watch sports. It wasn't a busy crowd when we went so service went quickly. Our bartender was very friendly and helpful. They have great happy hour food and drink deals. Drafts were $2 off and they have a good variety. Also a person that enjoys sour beers, I was pleasantly surprised that they had a sour on tap because a lot if restaurants I go to rarely have sours available on tap. I wish I remembered the name of the sour but it was so good. Foodwise, we ordered the white pizza (which wasn't so white), truffle fries, and Korean BBQ wings. The pizza was very good. I loved the flavor that the hot honey contributed to the pizza. It was served with a side of marinara sauce but the sauce was very acidic and weird tasting so I didn't use it for dipping. The truffle fries were so delicious and perfectly crispy. I loved that garlic aioli that it was served with. My friend and I agreed that we did not enjoy the wings. We didn't care for the flavor and we expressed that to our bartender and she took it off the bill. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience at Libations. My first visit to Libations was today. It was about 1:30 & I had some time between appointments so I stopped by and sat at the bar. I ordered a draft beer, Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager. I just wanted a bite to eat but no big lunch. So I settled on just a side order of Mac 'n Cheese. It was only $8. I was really surprised when they brought out a big bowl--it was a full serving size. The bartender was very pleasant. I arrange happy hours for an Annapolis group and I think we will need to check out Libations as a potential HH spot. read more

Went on a Friday. Unfortunately, nothing we ate was good. It was a bit disappointing. The staff seemed nice enough.

I really love this place overall. It has a beautiful ambiance and atmosphere, with both a large bar area and a separate dining room, which makes it great for different vibes depending on the night. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, and the food comes out pretty quickly. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality. One of my favorite things is trivia night on Wednesdays -- it's always fun and well run. That said, my biggest complaint is the constantly changing menu. They've removed some of my favorite items over time, especially the cream of crab soup, which was hands down the best cream of crab soup I've ever had. Losing that (and a few other entrées I loved) was really disappointing. One small but odd note: the ranch dressing tasted more like blue cheese, unless I was accidentally given the wrong sauce. Despite the menu changes, this is still a place I enjoy going back to because of the atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid pricing. I just wish they'd bring back some of the fan-favorite dishes. read more

We had a work dinner there sponsored by a few vendors. The service level was phenomenal. just The food was great. We were on a specific menu which made it pretty easy to get the food out, but everything was fresh and tasted great. The best part though was their appetizer station that they had set up. I tried a couple things for the first time and they were incredible, later on I wanted to know more about what I had so I reached out and I met someone named Haley who was super incredible. I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. The hostesses were very nice. Upon our entry. They were very busy and so we waited for a table for 5-10 minutes. Once we were seated we orders the crab dip appetizer. It came out piping hot with fresh bread. I had the Tavern coffee and it was very good. The waiters were very nice and continuously checked on us. I ended up with the salmon hash meal because the pot roast was sold out for the day. It was hot and fresh. I went here for a birthday party for my cousin. With that said there were probably at least 60 people in attendance. We had a private room for a party that started at 5pm. The 2 servers promptly came out to take our orders. Our server was Anuar. He began taking orders. When it was my turn I asked if he was ready for me and he said "I've been ready. I'm waiting for you." The delivery of this gave the air of being borderline rude, but I dismissed it and placed my order. I ordered the cream of crab soup and the mediterranean salad. As for the drink I just wanted water no ice with lemon and lime. He bought out some for the table which was where his hospitality stopped. While I was waiting for my food I was moving around taking pics of the Guest and birthday girl. When I return to the table, everyone had their appetizers but me. Also, one of the guest had knocked over the drink, and the glass broke. They used my place setting to wipe up the water and collect the broken pieces of glass. I was standing Anuar and noticed he had my glass of water with lime and lemon and told him that that was my water. Told me in a not so nice tongue that he had been told there was a glass broken and he collected my water glass just in case, and he fell into the water. I told him oh I didn't realize thanks. His response was a roll of eyes. I I also told him that I didn't get my cream of crab soup and perhaps they forgot me because I wasn't seated when they walked the apps out. Again, he rudely told me that he was getting it. When the soup came out I asked him if they had any Old Bay. he said yes, but again it was with an attitude as if I was putting him out. He bought the Old Bay out, and placed it in front of me as if to say "Here!". I tasted the soup and it was cold and thick. At this point I didn't want to ask him to reheat it because everything I asked him prior was meant with either a rude comment, a roll of the eyes or a huff and puff. His last little outburst I had to ask my family have I said or done anything that warranted this behavior. I realize sometimes we may not realize how we come off to others. My family is quick to put you in check if you are doing something out of the way. They all said no that it was him. My cousin also asked if they had any bread and he said no when we asked the other server she said yes and we could order some if we like. The question is why couldn't he have done the same thing. The soup was also not served with crackers which it should have been. When my salad came I didn't realize that the feta was actually the dressing. The Mediterranean salad comes with a thick creamy feta dressing that is really not ample for the whole salad so the salad was kind of dry. Both my cousin and I ordered the salad and we asked if we could have additional dressing on the side. she asked for balsamic and I asked for the lemon vinaigrette. He bought out the dressing, gave her two balsamic and me one lemon vinaigrette. He was clearly being petty because why I did not have two dressings as well for that huge salad? It got to the point where I had to say something because I wasn't putting up with any more of his foolishness. The manager or somebody must've gotten to him because he stopped waiting on our table and started serving other tables. I noticed that he was much more cordial to his other guest. Before I left, I asked him privately where did the Customer server relationship breakdown? I realize that servers are human and perhaps he was just having a bad day. I told him What my perception of his service was and his response was when everybody is yelling orders what do you expect and he denied being rude and he's sorry I felt that way. I told not only did I not yell at him. No one at our table was yelling. Again, even in trying to have an adult conversation with him he was sassy (as my grandmother would say). I realize that there was no having him realize or own his part in this interaction and left him and told him to be blessed. On the upside,the other server, Bilspy was excellent! Even when Anuar was acting a fool, she was still trying to work her tables and ours as well. Ultimately, she ended up taking over for him. She was really hustling and doing everything she could do to make things right and please all the guest . I really appreciate her and the young man that was helping her serve the meals. Although, I didn't care for the cream of crab soup. I actually enjoy the Mediterranean salad once I was able to get additional dressing and mix everything together. The flavors went together nicely. There were falafel's, roasted beets, pickled onions, quinoa rice (that I believe, had turmeric in it), hummus, cucumbers, spring mix, and tomatoes. This was my type of jam. As for the rest of my table crabcake sliders were ordered and reported to be tasty. The vegetable of the day was medallion cut carrots also said to be delish with a beautiful presentation. I don't really live near this area so I was interested in trying when a friend recommended we go for lunch. We had a reservation but arrived earlier than that time and were seated immediately at one of the couches. It seriously felt like I was sitting in a living room and I'm not mad about it. It was a Saturday and they were offering happy hour, which is rare. I haven't come across many weekend happy hours. As a starter, we had old bay tater tots with crab dip and loaded nachos. My eyes were wide when the waitress offered the crab dip and tots together because I wouldn't even think to eat them together. But I'm glad I did because it was delicious. Not all crab dips are created equal but theirs is great. For my drink, I ordered a pineapple mimosa. It was delicious and I honestly wouldn't expect anything different from a place named libations. For my entree, I ordered the Thai wings. They tasted really good and were the perfect amount of spice. I do wish they came with a side because of the price but nonetheless, they tasted good. This place was more impressive than I expected. I thought it was just a pub or a bar but the food was excellent. We ordered crab dip, wings nachos and salmon salad. Everything was flavored extremely well and I can't wait to try more of the menu. I ate one of my friends wings and it was juicy and very tasty. My salmon was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. A friend of mine, and I went here for lunch today. I have been here once before, but it was many years ago. When we arrived, it was not very crowded at all, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came to get our drink order within just a few minutes of us getting seated and situated. I had a few questions about some menu items that she was able to answer for me, which indicates she knows about the items that they serve. Often times you'll get a confused look in our told they have to ask the manager or something. This was not the case today. I ordered the Millersville club sandwich. It was huge! I did not even catch the second half of it and it will make a very nice early evening, snack, or even dinner. I did not want the bread that the sandwich is typically served on and asked if it was possible to make a substitution and she was very friendly and knowledgeable providing other options. Often times when you ask for something like that you are met with a little bit offer assistance. That was not the case. I was happy to hear that The service was very good, and the portions were plentiful. The menu is not overly expensive, but has a nice variety. If you're looking for something a little different, and you happen to be in the area, this is a very nice restaurant to try for lunch or dinner, although I think it is more geared toward lunch based on the menu, but that's just my personal opinion. The food my husband & I had was very good. We had brisket nachos (more than enough to share), raw oysters, shrimp burrito (huge & full of spicy shrimp & rice), and Old Bay wings. The service was attentive & efficient. The waitress was very friendly. It's a very nice & comfortable venue. Why only 3 stars then? $5 for ice tea (granted free refills) is overpriced. The dessert was just a hot mess. Campfire Brownie (I think that's correct) was some chocolate syrup around the plate topped with a ridiculous amount of Graham cracker crumbs, a small scoop of ice cream, and 4 little chunks of chocolate cake - no brownie in sight. Mind you, it didn't taste bad but terribly overpriced at $10. The chef should be ashamed to allow that out of the kitchen. By the way, 2 folks at our table had the crabcake sandwich. I really wanted to love this place, but I just didn't. The interior space and atmosphere is totally amazing, but I wasn't a huge fan of most of the food or drinks. That said, it just didn't do it for me. We came late afternoon on a Saturday, so we were picking from the happy hour menu. The regular dinner menu came out just as we were getting ready to leave, so I would consider venturing back to try an entree. Plus, on Saturdays it is $2 mimosas, so I would totally come back just for that! They were good mimosas, too, not just a bunch of OJ in a glass with a splash of champagne. It had a nice balance of both. The libations manhattan was a let-down, too sugary/syrup-y. We ordered three appetizers from the happy hour menu -- the primary reason I wanted to try this place was because they claimed to have "cheese curds" on the menu. Missing Wisconsin while I'm out here, I feared I'd be let down but had to try. They weren't really cheese curds by Wisconsin standards, I believe it was fried mozzarella based on the taste and the way the cheese didn't melt in your mouth right away. The outside was fried a bit too much so it was too hard. Also ordered the crabby fries, and while the dip itself was good, fries were not the choice to go with it. Most of them were just over-sauced and soggy. I would definitely try the regular crab dip, though. Last thing we ordered was the tavern pizza, which was actually very good. I would love to try the vegan pizza on the regular menu. After a couple of merely "OK" experiences years ago, I revisited here last night with friends and all of us had a very good experience. I server was attentive but never made us feel rushed. There was a nice cocktail menu and Steak Diane was on the menu! I haven't seen that for decades. The wine list was small but included European labels. I am not a fan of California fruit bombs so was pleased at the offering. I was especially impressed how before I had a chance to drink my wine, the bar tender, came in with another glass in hand. She told me that the wine I was served had been open too long and provided a pour from a freshly opened bottle. An employee who goes out of her way to prevent a customer from having a bad experience is a treasure. I wish I had her name, but if her employer reads this, she was working the evening of 7/7. read more

I have passed by this place multiple times. And just this past week decided that I would take my daughter here for brunch this past Sunday. The atmosphere inside of this restaurant is fantastic it was pretty empty for Sunday and we were seated right away. Now I have a hunch why, the food was not good it was not horrible but it was definitely not good. My daughter landed on the chicken and waffles and the waffle tasted like a sugar cane legit a sugar cane. I hosted my sisters bridal shower here and was very happy with how everything turned out. The day of staff the day of was SO accommodating and really made the day amazing. I would recommend hosting your event here! The food was really impressive, as I wasn't sure what to expect based on some mixed reviews online! Everyone was raving about the crab dip. Do yourself a favor and order it. Born and raised in Maryland I'm a crap dip snob and this one was good. We ordered a lunch buffet for the event that came with salad, soup, sliders, fries, pasta and dessert. We also added on the crab dip and fruit platter. There was so much leftover food so nobody in our party went home hungry! The prices were very reasonable! We also brought cupcakes too as there's no restaurant fee for bringing your own dessert. Minus one star because communication with Philip was a little slow at times via email, they forgot my menu substitution I requested (not a big deal as all the other food was good), and I think they put us in the wrong room for our event. Another party got there way before opening to set up this elaborate balloon arch (even though their party wasn't until 2pm and mine was 11am) so it wasn't like we could ask them to move. In town for a convention, this place was recommended by the organizers as good food reasonably priced. Our party of seven was quickly seated and the server was friendly, attentive, and provided suggestions from the menu. The pork roast sandwich au jus was tender and flavorful. My colleagues raved about the fish and mac and cheese dinners. The local beer offerings paired well with our meals. The restaurant had a party going on in its special section but we did not experience any unreasonable delays in being served which usually comes from forcing your staff to quick-plate a banquet. In fact, the restaurant appeared to be well-staffed and efficiently run on a Friday night - refreshing in this age of short-staffing. Part of this was due to a dedicated and motivated staff who were not idle the entire time we were there. What terrible customer service! A burger was not cooked as I had ordered. The whole plate was removed - burger and tots. When the manager brought the new burger without tots, she said she would bring fresh tater tots. She never apologized. She scolded me and said going forward I needed to cut the burger in half to make sure it was cooked the way I wanted. Apparently, you are to eat a burger like a PB & J. (I have sent burgers at Libations back before.) The tots never arrived. I called the next day. She then blamed her wait staff for not bringing the tater tots; you would think that as the boss she would be ultimately responsible. She then proceeded to tell me about how I was wrong, and she was sorry I felt that way. According to the manager, I send the burger back every time I order one. Well if that were true, after the first experience of sending a burger back I would not ever order another burger at Libations. At Libations, I always order a rare burger (but I do not always order a burger) and preface a burger order that I want it really rare. I have had wonderful burgers at Libations. The manger, however, made it clear that I should from now on just order something else. She blamed her staff rather than taking responsibility. She was passive aggressive and condescending when she rudely said, "I am sorry you feel that way." You would think there would have been "we are sorry" at some point. Libations has lost a customer. On a positive note our waitress was lovely. It was not her fault that the kitchen overcooked the burger or that her manger is rude. read more

There was no plan to eat here, just an impaulse stop to ease the hunger pains. The dining room happened to be closed for a private party, so we sat in the bar area at the high top tables. The bar area was pretty large, and also had regular tables, and a lounge area with leather sofas. The atmosphere was pretty lowkey and minimally decorated with low playing music and a handfull of flatscreen TVs. Service was good and our waitress checked on us often. The food was served hot and timely. It was a little on the pricey side, but the food wasn't your average run of the mill food either, and they made up for it with their $3 brunch mimosas. Yes please! We ordered the American Onion Soup that was very different from the French onion soup I'm familiar with. There was no cheese layered on top and no onions, except for the crispy [canned] ones. It was creamy, but not thick, and I detected a beer flavor. It was comforting. We also ordered the Maryland crab soup that was also good. It had just enough spice, not overbearing, but sadly not much crab meat. For our main meal we had a delicious potroast grilled cheese, with Old Bay flavored tater tots. This is a grownups grilled cheese. The tater tots were perfect and the seasoning was very mild; just enough to not need catchup or any other condiment. Another hit was the warm smoked turkey and bri on a croissant with baccon, and a side of tots. The croissant was warm, flaky and buttery. The bacon was meaty and cooked perfectly. Bartender Maraia is perfection! Excellent service along with a beautiful smile! My mom surprised me by driving up from Tennessee, she sent a text to myself and my niece to meet her at Libations in 15 minutes. Maraia greeted us within seconds of us sitting down. She highly recommended the Brie with Apples and Fig Jam. Happy Hour price of $8. When I say it was good, it was GREAT! Who doesn't love warm, melted cheese on bread?! Yum! My mom and niece were both a fan of their burgers. We all agreed on the Tater Tots with a dusting of Old Bay was very yummy. I'm not a huge fan of Old Bay but they gave the Tots a nice kick. Severna Park's best place for those with dietary restrictions! Lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options and possibly the best nachos I've ever had. I've lived nearby to Libations for years and I was so thankful to learn they survived Covid-19. Libations has wonderful service dining-in as well as calling for carry out: the staff are great at answering any and all questions about dietary restrictions and are always helpful and friendly. My family has many different needs and wants: we have a vegan, a celiac gluten-free eater, as well as meat lovers. And let me tell you we are always leaving Libations happy and satisfied. Our family favorites off the menu include the vegan pizza, the nachos, the pot roast grilled cheese, and their soups are amazing! There chicken wings are gluten free so it's a perfect stop for game day, and I've never been disappointed when ordering their salads. The over all concept of this place is cool. I love little local bars. This spot looks a little mismatched, with the bar area looking hipster and cool and then the dining room somewhere between 90s color scheme with some modern touches. Food: it wasn't bad. Food gets a low 4. I got the grilled ahi tuna on a bed of ramen. The flavor was tasty, but the tuna was a bit over cooked and the overall presentation was super messy. I would probably add less veggies or put them on the side like with pho for adding in. My husband got jumbo lump crab Mac and cheese. He said it was delicious, but just wanted a little more. For those who can't eat pork, the makes that dish! Dessert: I got creme brûlée. There was no hard crust to break through. That was disappointing Drinks: they do flights! I love getting to taste many different things. I'm usually a red wine drinker but chose white for the flight. $14 for a very basic eggs Benedict that didn't even have a sprinkle of paprika on it, the hollandaise had too much lemon and they drowned the Benedict in the hollandaise which was a big turn off. One egg was not fully cooked, so I left it in the mound of hollandaise on the plate.I should have gotten the chicken sandwich that look delicious!! And worth the $14. Nice place, although we were not greeted when we walked in, did not get menus so when we sat at the bar the bartender expected us to know what we r ordering. Not her fault, she immediately got menus for us. Then a second bartender took our order which we found odd?!!! Then we watched a server drag a glass through the ice chest, instead of using the scoop!
