F7. Pineapple Fried Rice. Amazing!
Ria S.

Disappointed in this restaurant. After all these years supporting them. I recently ordered twice from DoorDash and both my orders were canceled. So, I was curious. First reason, items were not available. Which was odd. Second time, store issues and I was refunded. So, I called the restaurant, come to find out, they didn't want to honor the $10 credit I earned from ordering from them via DoorDash. But that doesn't come out from their restaurant earnings. DoorDash pays for that $10 as a promotion to the customer. I don't think they understood that part. Poor business conduct. No longer supporting this establishment.

Nice decor and ambiance inside. Three of us had dinner here for the first time. Overall it was a satisfactory meal. We ordered shrimp tempura, calamari, crispy duck, orange chicken, beef drunken noodles, and crab fried rice (we were given chicken fried rice but we didn't raise an issue even if we were disappointed). The orange chicken was tasty but the chicken inside the breading was quite dry. Their drunken noodles wasn't as good as I'm used to though theirs isn't bad. All the rest were delicious.

We happen to walk in with returning customers who were greeted by the owner. Right away we felt the genuine hospitality and care for the customers. While the physical location is not ideal, stepping into the restaurant makes your feel right at home. The holiday vibes and very authentic Thai feel are welcoming and provide a very cozy feel (but not in a crowded way). I can't wait to go back and try more food! I had the drunken noodle and pad Thai as well as the soup. The family, friendly environment and the family based service will make you want to come back for more.

I know nothing about Thai food except I don't care for curry. Place was really cool. Clean, well decorated. Service was very friendly. I said I had no idea about Thai food. Server made many recommendations, some Thai, some Chinese. I chose shrimp Pad Thai. It was tasty. A little sweet. Added a drizzle of chili sauce, balanced it out. There was a soup that looked interesting as well as a seafood dish. A LaCarte Chinese dishes looked good. I enjoyed this culinary journey. I'll be back.

Elephant Thai Cusine is a major upgraded space from other thai restaurants that previously occupied this building. The people that own this place now put alot of work into the decor. The service and food feels 1000% better as well. My mom and I treated ourselves to Sunday dinner with starting appetizers of egg rolls and cream cheese rangoons. Entrees of yellow curry chicken, thai fried rice, and pad see eew with beef. For "dessert" was my all time fav Thai iced tea.... Had enough food to take home truly satisfied and I will be back real soon! Ciao for now.......

Spring Fresh Rolls (6 cuts or 2 rolls) (1/2 order)

We have been meaning to try this place for a long time. Our favorite Thai was at this same location. We had heard great things about Elephant Thai but hadn't tried it for ourselves. We got parking right upfront, the inside of the restaurant is so pretty, there's so many beautiful decorations, it's a little elegant oasis. We went on a Sunday after 3. We were sat and give water right away. We were a party of 3. We ordered the 1/2 order of the following appetizers: Fresh rolls (shrimp) (one cut in 3 pieces), coconut shrimp (3), tempura shrimp (3) and cream cheese wonton (4) (ordered another 1/2 because they were so good!). The appetizers were delicious, $6 for each 1/2 order. We did not have to wait too long for them to come out. For our main dishes (which we got 0 pictures of) we ordered a bowl of the Tom Kha soup and 2 green chicken curries, an extra order of steam rice and a small cucumber salad. The green curry was delicious (spicy) as was the Tom Kha soup, the cucumber salad was refreshing a good pair to the spicy curry. The portions do feel small what we are accustomed to, but we were satisfied. The cucumber salad portion was very small for $3. The soup was $12 and the green curry was $14 each. My daughter also ordered a Thai tea with boba, which she said was really good. At the end of our meal we were offered dessert but had no room. We were very pleased with our overall experience. Our total was $87 with tax. This was my mom's first time having Thai and she was very pleased. We can't wait to go back!

Found this cute little spot nearby six flags discovery kingdom. The interior is decorated for Christmas and the ambiance overall is very nice. Food took a little long to come out but service was very good. As for the food, I think it was just okay. We got the half calamari and half chicken wings which were $6 each, but the portions was very small so I would skip on the appetizers. The bbq chicken was very good, tender, and was a lot, we had to pack this home. The boat noodle was good, but not the best I've had. It was on the salty side, so I added lime which helped a lot. Overall, I would come back here and try their other food.

F3. Crab Fried Rice

Nice Thai spot in Vallejo. Had their crab fried rice and the boat noodle soup. The crab fried rice was very good. Loved the flavor and the ingredients. It was not too salty and had enough crab meat to make it an enjoyable meal. Loved the different colors of the vegetables and the scrambled egg in this dish. The rice was cooked perfectly. The boat noodle soup was very good as well. Enjoyed the various meats in this dish, the broth, and the noodles. The soup was spicy, but not overwhelming. The meatballs were chewy and the meat was tender. The vegetables gave the soup a nice texture. Service was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They made us feel very welcome upon our visit. We did not have to wait too long for our food. The staff also made sure to keep our water filled. They were very courteous to help us with anything. The ambiance was pretty nice. Loved the decor inside of the restaurant. There was a lot of artwork across the place. It was very vibrant and presentable. Very appealing to our eyes. The place had quite an amount of customers, some for dining in and takeout. The location was in a plaza. Parking was very easy to find. Nice experience dining here. Would like to check it out again sometime.

Absolutely enjoyed this! My family came for dinner and we enjoyed our whole experience. We were instantly sat down and given water. We ordered egg rolls and buffalo chicken for our appetizer and they arrived quickly. Our meal orders were instantly taken after and out entrees came out quickly. Everyone's food was delicious and tasty. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The inside was very clean and it wasn't too loud. We will definitely be back!

Saw this place last time I went to the (also great) Korean restaurant next door and decided to give it a try. Anyway, the important information you are here for is THE FOOD IS AMAZING and not expensive! Plus, the people working here were all super nice. Service and delivery of the food to our table was prompt which was great because I was hungry! But, I can't leave five stars for one simple reason... it's loud here. First off, there was a loud beep every like minute or two from something in the restaurant. Second, they have one of those door dinger things that makes a really loud chime every time someone opens the front door. I understand having that and putting the speaker in the back, but the speaker for that thing is right up front and it's annoying! This is easily a five star restaurant as the food, value, and service are on point, but those beeping and bonging noises ruined it for me. I will try again in a few months and see if they've resolved this noise issue.

Went with the family for dinner and the staff were so kind and accommodating. Food was great and I always enjoy their food. The place is so beautiful! You can just get caught up in the ambiance of the place . There were two small negatives I did have. We had a party of 6 and on our bill there was a service fee of 18%, but it wasn't the gratuity nor the tip. Which I think is weird. Also some of my family members felt that their food they took home was smaller than what was left on their plates. The staff took your B plate in the back to wrap up your food for you, but my takeout food was a decent size I believe. lol

They brought out a small scoop of ice cream for River and she was so happy. Completely unbridled!

This place is super yummy!!…read more We were in Vallejo last weekend for a specialty dog show, and it was the end of a long day. I was craving Thai food and found this place while looking through Yelp. The prices and the food looked great, so we quickly headed over to Thai Place to fix our growling stomachs. Thai Place is a tiny restaurant but with a cozy atmosphere. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. We arrived around an odd time of the afternoon, so the restaurant was pretty empty, save for a few patrons finishing up their meal. I hadn't had curry in a long time, so I went with the pumpkin red curry with pork, while my husband chose the crispy chicken herb fried rice. For our appetizer we went with a potato curry puff (basically a curry empanada). I didn't order a Thai tea as it was later in the day and I didn't want to be bouncing off the walls that night, but from what I saw, the Thai tea looked good and I made it a point to try it next time we were in the area. Our appetizer arrived pretty quickly, and it was steaming hot. The cucumber salad on the side was delicious and cut the richness of the curry puffs beautifully. We devoured every last bite. Our entrees were next to arrive, and the portion sizes were pretty big! We hadn't eaten all day, but if we had had lunch, I feel like we wouldn't have been able to finish our food. The curry was delectable with a deep, bold flavor and the pumpkin was cooked perfectly. The pork was tender and the rice was soft and fluffy. My husband's crispy chicken was breaded beautifully and the fried rice underneath was flavorful. He also enjoyed the dipping sauce for the chicken. He took a small box of leftovers back to our Airbnb to enjoy later that evening. For the quality of the food we enjoyed, the price point of Thai Place is definitely hard to beat. There aren't many selections of good food in Vallejo, and I'm super glad we found this hidden gem. Our server was also very attentive and came by often made sure that our waters were filled and the food was up to our liking. I'd love to return the next time we are in the area for a dog show, and definitely recommend Thai Place for anyone who needs their Thai food fix!

Neither of us…read moreknew much about restaurants in the area, but we "Yelped" a bit, and Pearl Thai caught our eye. Very glad it did! We were greeted by a gentleman with a fun sense of humor - can't really explain it, but he made us smile. The place is small, but very welcoming. We were shown to a window booth, where we chatted a bit before we looked at the menu. The server came to take our order and we had barely even looked. She told us to take all the time we needed. Eventually, we made our decisions. My friend got one of the lunch combos - a chicken curry (she chose red curry, you can also choose green or yellow), and I don't remember what the other combo item was. But everything looked delightful on her plate! On our way into the restaurant, I spotted a sign with a lunch special on it - crispy chicken kao soi, a noodle dish, and it looked good, so that's what I requested. It was quite yummy! The best part was the deeply flavored sauce that the noodles were nestled into - I could put it in a cup and drink it, it was soooo good, lots of savory fish sauce and just enough spice to keep it interesting. Besides the noodles actually in the sauce, there were crispy fried noodles on top as well, adding a nice texture variety. The picture doesn't really do it justice. I was hungry and dove in before I remembered to take the photo, oops. The chicken was breaded and laid on top of the noodles in thin slices, very nice and crunchy. We had Thai hot tea with our lunch - not the sweet kind, but the nice clean-flavored hot tea. It went perfectly with our dishes. I don't know exactly when either of us will get back to Benicia again, but if and when we do, I hope we can stop by Pearl Thai again!

*** Vegetarian Review ***…read more None of their dishes have fish sauce so you don't get knocked over the head with the smell when you walk in. They remind me every time I order, but as a vegetarian, we've all had that fish smell delivered to us at a Thai restaurant at least once (probably twice, more likely three times) in our eating lifetimes. It is such a relief to not have to worry about that here. Would I Come Back? Yes, when I'm in town, I make it a point to come here. Did I mention they don't use fish sauce!? Parking is is incredibly easy so that's never an issue. It's a shared parking lot with many stores and other restaurants. I typically go on a Sunday for lunch, and even with a party of 5, I haven't had to wait for a table. Seating capacity is probably 45-50 guests so if you're planning a large party, definitely best to call ahead and make a reservation. The Food: Roti & Yellow Curry ($14, Grade A+): Fried roti with a yellow curry dipping sauce. It's a super savory dish, and honestly, I should have had you at "fried." If you're wondering what roti is, think of it as a buttery, flaky, pan-fried flatbread. It's large enough appetizer to share with 3 people, but you're pushing your luck with 4. Pad Thai with Fried Tofu ($16, Grade A): I've had this dish 5 times now. To be completely transparent, it's the exact reason why I can't give Pearl Thai a full 5-star rating, purely because of consistency. The first time I got it, it was perfect. The second and third times, it had no sauce and was dry. The fourth time, I asked them to make it saucy, and they obliged to an almost soupy level. For this fifth time, I just ordered it straight up and zipped my lip on any alterations. As they say, the fifth time was a charm! When it's made with the perfect amount of sauce, this dish is excellent. The noodles have that exact texture you look for in a pad thai, and the egg gets that great scorch from the wok for an added layer of flavor. Also, the tofu has been incredibly fresh every single time. It never tastes slightly spoiled, which happens a lot in smaller towns that don't heavily support plant-based diets where tofu just sits in a fridge eagerly awaiting someone to order it. Mixed Vegetables ($14, Grade A): Sautéed wood ear mushrooms and mixed vegetables in a garlic soy sauce. If you've ever had Pad Pak, you already know this flavor profile. I really enjoyed it, but next time I'll ask for no carrots and maybe half the garlic. Overall, it's a perfect dish that absolutely requires steamed rice to soak up all that great flavor. Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango ($8, Grade A): The classic dessert we see at all Thai restaurants, but they serve it with purple sticky rice, making it a visually yummy dish. It's plenty of food to share between two people. Bottom Line: The service here is great and very friendly. It's a small, local shop with "Best in Town" awards highlighted on the walls. The environment is clean, and the food is served hot and arrives at the table quick. One Last Word: Don't leave here without ordering the roti with yellow curry for an appetizer. Pure savory goodness!

This place is located in a small multi tenant shopping center located near the entrance of Hiddenbrooke with ample parking-so that was nice. This restaurant is for sure a local restaurant that serves the Hiddenbrooke community with most of their patrons being locals from the community. That was what we found upon arrival, most of the customers did seem to be locals in for a quick lunch. I would describe this place as an Asian fusion restaurant.-the depth of their menu was surprising-like "Cheesecake Factory-esque" level depth of menu.Their sushi menu was many pages and I hadn't even planned on getting sushi but after looking at this menu,I had to try something-so went with a simple Spicy Tuna Roll ($12.95). Off the Thai menu we decided to go with the Trio Meat Fried Rice ($20.95) Virgin Drunken Noodle ($18.95) Pad See U ($16.95) and Drunken Noodle ($16.95) Well I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to Asian fusion but I've had it more than a handful of times-so I can say with confidence that the food here was pretty good- very tasty-the Virgin Drunken Noodles were Interesting due to their use of glass noodles-the beef in that dish was seasoned well.I ordered my Drunken Noodles spicy and for that they delivered, quite a spicy dish. The Pad See U had really good veggies on it-very tasty and snappy. The Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty standard-the highlight being I somehow got my mother to try sushi for the 1st time by eating a piece of this sushi roll-she didn't hate it which I think is a pretty good review from a 73 year old Native American woman trying sushi for the 1st time. In closing,if u ever find yourself out in the Vallejo or Hiddenbrooke area and you want to give a small local business a try-this place is a pretty good choice-with a menu this big, your bound to find something on there that will make you happy. PS....I forgot to say I really enjoyed the house hot sake-pretty good flavor and perfect item to warm you up in this cold winter times we are in.

Everything we ordered was fantastic and the service was great. We raved about the restaurant to family members that lived nearby and even purchased a gift card for them. Our second visit last weekend wasn't as great, but it was still enjoyable. We had Lychee Sake on the back patio while we waited for out party to arrive. Our server was good although he seemed a bit irritable and in a rush. The food was excellent although the portions seemed a bit on the small side. Highly disappointed in the Garlic Noodles with chicken that barely tasted like garlic and only had a few tiny scraps of chicken in it. Wouldn't recommend that dish but everything else was great. The restaurant itself is on the small side and would probably feel a bit claustrophobic during busy shifts but they have a nicely decorated back patio with plenty of tables. Well, a friend also recommend it as they live in town. Small town, most places do close pretty early. I think they closed around 8pm when we arrived. They were able to accommodate my group last minute. It was Thursday, the farmers market was going on out front and the place was pretty mellow. Inside, it was mellow but once you were in the back patio, it was pretty lively. It's where they seated us. First time also trying Burmese food. Menu did have a lot of dishes that are pretty much similar to the other southeast asian dishes. Pretty much the seasonings varies here and there. Service was great from start to finish as everyone was very sweet and friendly. Constantly checking in on us to make sure that everything was taken care of. Food wise, we started off with some of their starter. Burmese chicken wings and added fries. The seasoning was quite nice and tasty. Tossed with fries, onions, bell peppers and garlic bits. Quite tasty. Shrimp basket, classic fried shrimp in rice paper. Just like an egg roll. They were quite nice and tasty. Crispy pork belly, marinated pork belly served with a tamarind sauce. The nice crunch and sweet sauce were all great together. Entrees, a mixture of everything to share. The spicy noodles which were pretty much similar to pad Thai. Stir fry noodles with bell peppers, onions, green onions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, peanuts and adorned with shredded cabbage. Perry much their version of pad Thai. It was good but a little too sweet for my liking. Burmese style chicken biryani, slow cooked chicken thighs and drumsticks marinated in butter, yogurt, masala, ginger and served with biryani rice. That was a meal in its own. Tasty with the sauce and the chicken literally fell off the bone. Basil chili beef was quite nice. The flavors were really good and the beef was tender. Fiery pork was a recommendation from the waiter which was also a nice dish. Stir fry tofu with pork, red onion, bell peppers, string beans, garlic and a house special soy sauce. Tasty dish as well. Lastly the chicken red curry. Slow cooked with potatoes, onions, Marsala, paprika in a rich sauce. Served with steamed rice. It was good but the other dishes outshine it. We did like the food. Very similar to a lot of other Asian dishes but their version and take on it. Pretty much similar but change it up with the spices. Service was great and the place was nice. Glad we got a table on the patio versus inside.

Our 5 items with tip were just under $120. The only downside, and I DO NOT think this is a direct reflection on the restaurant, is the card we used for our order was hit with 11 pre-auths for that amount. I think this is their 3rd party ordering service, Menufy, which I'd never used prior to this order. For those following along, that totaled over $1k hold on funds. That can be a vacay wrecker, so keep an eye on those cards. They eventually dropped off, but just be wary of holds, especially while traveling.

I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my guest and I received today at this restaurant (…read moreTHAI KITCHEN )!!! My guest mentioned the numerous times she's dined here over the years and have always enjoyed the food which is why today's experience was so shocking. When my guest and I arrived, there was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. We stood at the entrance waiting to be greeted and instead of being welcomed the server simply waved her hand and motioned for us to seat ourselves. After we sat down we waited for service while the server continued socializing and entertaining the other table. No menus were provided. No water was offered. No acknowledgment was made that we were even sitting there. We actually started a timer on our phone because we could not believe we were being completely ignored despite there being virtually no one else in the restaurant. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of concern. There was no apology, no urgency and no effort to make things right. When we eventually left ,,, the attitude we received suggested that our experience was amusing rather than unacceptable. The treatment was disturbing enough that it left us questioning whether discrimination played a role. I cannot say for certain that it did but I can say that I have never felt so unwelcome, dismissed and disregarded in a restaurant. The food here may be excellent, but CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS. No paying customer should be treated as though their presence is an inconvenience. Today's experience was disrespectful, unprofessional and completely inconsistent with the standards I would expect from a business that relies on public support. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue because no customer should have to experience what we experienced today.
