We ordered takeout from Thai Kitchen during our short stay for a Six Flags spring break trip. Even though it was almost right across from our hotel, you just can't get there from here LOL. Up and U turn and another down the street to another U turn again to get back. Funny. Moving on. The food was pretty good - we ordered A LOT of stuff to try. Chicken satay, and tempura shrimp apps, yum yai (a mixed meat salad) and duck salad, and of course, the staple for which to score a Thai place - pad Thai. The salads were DELISH. Like both perfectly balanced with ingredients & dressing. We had a lot of leftovers, so when I tell you that my savory self loooveess a cold salad for brekkies - you can keep those sweet treats for yourself. Skewers & tempura were a hot with my kids after a long park afternoon, and the pad Thai just hits - unctuous, umami, a little tangy-sour, a little like feet, but loaded with meats & fresh veggies. A home run meal for all of us. Did I mention we got another meal out of it the next morning? Yep. Lots of food. We were so hungry after a full day at Six Flags, I didn't even pause to take photos - we just big backed right in. The restaurant even gave me a few extra take out containers to use as bowls/plates & utensils for that hungry hotel dining experience! Price wise, it's Napa adjacent. Our 5 items with tip were just under $120. The only downside, and I DO NOT think this is a direct reflection on the restaurant, is the card we used for our order was hit with 11 pre-auths for that amount. I think this is their 3rd party ordering service, Menufy, which I'd never used prior to this order. For those following along, that totaled over $1k hold on funds. That can be a vacay wrecker, so keep an eye on those cards. They eventually dropped off, but just be wary of holds, especially while traveling. read more

I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my guest and I received today at this restaurant ( THAI KITCHEN )!!! My guest mentioned the numerous times she's dined here over the years and have always enjoyed the food which is why today's experience was so shocking. When my guest and I arrived, there was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. We stood at the entrance waiting to be greeted and instead of being welcomed the server simply waved her hand and motioned for us to seat ourselves. After we sat down we waited for service while the server continued socializing and entertaining the other table. No menus were provided. No water was offered. No acknowledgment was made that we were even sitting there. We actually started a timer on our phone because we could not believe we were being completely ignored despite there being virtually no one else in the restaurant. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of concern. There was no apology, no urgency and no effort to make things right. When we eventually left the attitude we received suggested that our experience was amusing rather than unacceptable. The treatment was disturbing enough that it left us questioning whether discrimination played a role. I cannot say for certain that it didbut I can say that I have never felt so unwelcome, dismissed and disregarded in a restaurant. The food here may be excellent, but CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS. No paying customer should be treated as though their presence is an inconvenience. Today's experience was disrespectful, unprofessional and completely inconsistent with the standards I would expect from a business that relies on public support. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue because no customer should have to experience what we experienced today. read more

Super small but food was decent. I'm in Napa for a girls weekend trip. It was a bit cold for April, we wanted some soup and decided to give this place a try. We order three items and the yum yum soup and drunken noodles were on point. The service was good, we were greeted right away and got seated. The only thing is, the dinning area is super small and tight. There was a large party and we sat next to them. The tum yum soup was warm, not hot. There were other items on menu I would like to try. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant so much! I've been going here since I was little and their food has never missed. It's such a cozy mom and pop restaurant and the owners are the sweetest people ever. I usually get the yum yai salad but decided to get the chicken satay because of the lunch deal. Soooooo good! And the side salad is so refreshing! The Pad Se Eww had the perfect amount of spice which heightened the flavors even more. The Tom Kha Goong soup with shrimp was the perfect appetizer for me before my meal. The lemongrass gives it an authentic incredible flavor. Both the Chicken Fried Rice and Crab Fried Rice were a hit. Each dish was properly executed, hats off to the chef and cooks. Thai Kitchen is a perfect place for a quick meal that is simple and delicious, and cherry on top is its BYOB. Portions are sizable so great for sharing. For starters, papaya salad has great flavor and crunch, while the spring rolls are crispy with a great dipping sauce. For mains, we had the shrimp pad Thai (as expected and yummy) as well as the chicken green curry (levels of flavor and just the right amount of spice). It came with fried onion rings and fried green beans. Shrimp papaya salad - looks like a mountain of papaya but it had only 2 shrimps and a lot of iceberg lettuce underneath. Kinda disappointed. This place is a gem located in American Canyon right outside of Napa. Food was excellent. I asked for this spicy and it did not disappoint. The only hang up was my wife's dish knjy had 2 pieces of shrimp. She would've wanted a little bit more protein in her pad Thai. The staff were super friendly. As a person who has eaten a LOT of Thai food in the 'hood and beyond, let me be the first to confirm for y'all that they've dumbed these flavors down for the 'burbs. I tried this place maybe 10 years ago, and circled back only because I've seen it mentioned a few times on a fb community page, so I thought maybe they'd perfected their craft in the name of experience, and it's close to home. It was a flavor-lacking deja vu experience. :( The wonton soup broth looked and tasted like WATER. I have never in my life had to ask for hot sauce for drunken noodles. I ordered pepper beef and it came with tons of bell peppers and little beef. The place very small and not recommended for more than two people. There one server/cashier/cleanup (same person)and she's not very happy with an attitude. She charged me 50 cents for each to go containers. Lastly, the area heavy traffic and it's difficult to drive in. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place. Times are hard and hardly anyone eating out. This is my go-to Thai place in Vallejo/American Canyon! The food never disappoints. The mas-sa-man curry (yellow curry) with the pineapple fried rice is sooooo good. Best combo! Had the sticky rice recently and it had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Delicious! Haven't branched out on other dishes because the regulars for us are always tasty. I have a feeling we won't be tired of it for a while. The building is small but there is a good amount of seating inside. We've never had to wait for a table. The service here is great! The staff is very friendly and sweet. I love coming here with my partner after work and getting our perfect weeknight dinner. This place is such a cute little gem! I ordered the red curry and Tom Yum soup, both were amazingly delicious! The red curry was so flavorful, a great spicy curry with a hint of sweetness from the coconut to balance the flavor out beautifully. The Tom Yum soup was so good, I just am a broth girl, I think that's what makes a Tom Yum amazing, so I prefer less veggies and more soup! This place is a little heavy on the toppings but not too bad, I think it would be nice to give customers an option to have less veggies and more broth or vice versa. read more
