Unfortunately, I was not impressed with my visit to Elephant Wings. I ordered the butter chicken nachos and the iced masala chai. The nachos were just some fried tortilla chips with a very runny butter curry sauce that didn't have much flavor and some chicken that wasn't very good. Topped with some jalapeño slices. I spent $28 on this meal and it wasn't even good enough to eat more than a couple bites of. The chai was just okay. Very watered down tasting and not much chai spice. I was so excited to try it and was just very disappointed. read more

Admittedly, all I have had here is the fries. Once way back at Iron District, and then again last night. They never disappoint - SO delicious. Probably the best fries I've ever had. Definitely plan on coming back and having a full experience of the food - I know this place has much more to offer, so I can't wait to try :) read more

Elephant Wings is known for its Tikka Masala Poutine, so I had to come and give it a try, but guys--it's not worth it. You can see the photos. There's hardly any toppings at all on the fries. The meat and paneer pieces are tiny, and the Tikka Masala sauce just isn't flavorful enough. A few bites in and it was just a mountain of slightly soggy, seasoned fries. The food here is absolutely AMAZING! This is already my second visit within a month The first time I tasted the food, I wanted to run back in & give the owner a hug...THAT'S how good it was (ordered Tikka Masala Poutine w/ Beef & the Butter Chicken). Not only is the food incredible, but the people running the place are just as great. Friendly, welcoming, & you can just tell they really care. If there's such a thing as rock-n-roll Indian food, this place comes pretty darn close. Chef Ameet ramps everything up on all his dishes. The spice, the flavor, and the heat makes everything incredibly tasty. If given the opportunity, I could probably sustain life eating only his Namaste Shrimp dish. (Yes, it's that good.) Elephant wings is located inside the parlor in downtown Kansas City. They have an amazing tasting menu of Indian fusion and lots of options of veggies and meats. Some of their menu items you also have the option of getting it as a sandwich, wrap, or over rice. Everything was so flavorful. Highly recommend them. read more

This place was a mix for me. It is on the more expensive side for KC but I am used to hefty food hall prices in other cities. We had the poutine and yellow thrasher curry. Both were good but have some serious up charges for protein modifications which aren't stated on the video menu so a bit misleading. Curry wasn't an Indian fusion in my opinion but the poutine was. read more

I've just like going here always nice to see who's new in the parlor so I read a lot of great reviews about the food and elephant wings it is eclectic and unique I went with my friend who's Indian so she's of course picky as she should be she thought the samosas were too expensive but I got them anyway and they were pretty damn good!!! The crispiness was superb. She got the poutine and she liked it very much and I got the curry sauce I thought it was fantastic I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. And I was pleased to see some new to me places in The parlor as well. read more

Elephant Wings is an Indian fusion restaurant located within the Iron District. They offer several unique sandwiches/wraps, poutine, and even iced masala chai. I ordered the Tandoori Fries: French fries seasoned with house spice mix. I opted for the smaller size after inquiring about the difference between the two offerings. The small size fed two of us comfortably. The large world probably feed 3-4 easily. The fries were crispy and the spice mix was an added flavor bonus. But the real star for me was the tikka masala sauce. That was amazing with so much flavor. They should bottle it! read more

I don't recall the name of this sandwich but it was similar to a creole Poboy. However, this sandwich didn't have nearly as much shrimp as I expected. In addition to this, I had a half order of fries which was plenty. It was pricey - paid $23 for this and no drink. I would not eat here again. There are too many other restaurants in The Parlor that are much better. read more

This place is a new addition to the Iron District. Thought we could try this place out for the first time. We had the Bombay Mi and the Tikka Masala Poutine. Honestly the food was not worth the price. Portions was not satisfying, still hungry. Service was decent but awkward too. Easy to order and they do text you when you're food is ready. read more

Visited the Iron District for a normal night out and spotted this newer place. Their menu consists of wraps, fries, tea and other beverages with an Indian fusion. I had the Tikka Masala Poutine. The dish was different but flavorful. The spin on this dish was that it was poutine but the poutine was Tikka Masala which is normally served with rice. Yes, I missed the rice and it could have been more protein as I feel like I got around 2 tablespoons and the sauce is thin and absorbed into the fries leaving a mound of mush. Would I get again? No, not by itself but as a combo for $2 more you could get a wrap and that and a Chai Tea. I was hungry again later as the portions were on the smaller side. Interesting Indian twist on some old favorites. I've been to the iron district location a couple times and both times I've gotten the poutine. Once with chicken and once vegetarian style both were delicious I can't stop thinking about how fresh it tasted even for french fries. read more

I've been to Elephant Wings twice now and I've had an amazing experience each time. The food is excellent- there's no denying it and especially considering that Indian-fusion is hard to come by here (let alone even good Indian food). The paneer tikka sandwich and the tandoori fries were flavorful, spicy and hit the spot. The iced chai was a nice bonus and all in all, I recommend the sandwich meal option (sandwich, fries and a chai). Ameet, the owner, was polite, inviting and takes the time to talk to his customers. The second time I ate here, I forgot to check my phone to see if my food was ready and Ameet personally walked my food over to my table in Parlor. As far as ambiance, the restaurant is at Parlor which already comes with a pretty convivial ambiance so that helps. Definitely recommend! read more

Ordered the Unholy Cow and Tandoori fries with curry sauce. Both were absolutely incredible. Every component of the Unholy Cow sandwich hit just right and complimented each other so well. I went there with my son about two weeks ago. We both had the poutine which sounded great from the menu. However, there was literally almost now sauce, just a whole lot of fries with tiny specs of chicken and a almost unnoticeable amount of sauce. Hopefully, the owner reads this and really ups the amount of sauce that should come with this dish. read more
