In a strip full of touristic places this place was a total gem. My wife and I tried the Coda ala Vaccianara and the Roasted lamb (it was Easter Day). The food was so delicious and fresh. I've had really good meals since I've been in Italy, but this was by far one of my favs. We were seated quickly; and greeted with some welcome Prosecco and bread. I'm always in for some free bubbly . The menu is well balanced with soups, salads, pastas, meats and seafood options. Not only was there a variety but many of each! For my entree I had a lentil soup and penne in salmon sauce. Everything is cooked to order. I personally love my food steaming hot & that alone was really satisfying. The staff was welcoming & attentive. Good location. I was looking forward to amazing Italian food on our trip, and we found it with this place. The food here was so delicious and great service!!! We stopped by because of the yelp reviews but worried when we didn't see much of a crowd (we must of come early in the day). Glad we stayed. We had their 3-course meal. I had their carbonara, veal, and roasted potatoes. My fiancé had seafood pasta, sea bass, and salad. Everything was so flavorful. I regret not coming back on our second day in Rome. It was inexpensive for the type and quality of food you received. We were served a complimentary glass of champagne once seated. We had the four cheese pasta. Simple and delicious for the picky eaters. The scampi risotto was amazing. We had the grilled sea bass twice. We also tried the beef lasagna. Sooo good. The tiramisu is a must try. The waiters did their best to communicate if you need assistance with menu translation. We had amazing service. The staff worked hard and they were friendly. It gets busy and so you may have to wait but do not leave or get upset, it is worth the wait. Rome charges a city tax and you will see that on your bill. This restaurant was right down the street from our hotel which was great since we came into town from Switzerland late and were hungry for dinner. They brought us some prosecco complimentary when we sat down. I ordered the lasagna Bolognese and my friend ordered the pasta with bacon and red sauce. Both were fantastic. My lasagna had gobs of melted parmesan on top of a lovely Bolognese sauce. Let's be honest, I ate the whole thing! We shared a bottle of red wine and some sparkling water. Though full, we ordered the tiramisu which was amazing! Service was good, the waiter was a bit slow to warm up, but friendly. We sat inside, though there was an option to sit outside. We really enjoyed the place and the prices were very reasonable, especially after being in Switzerland! Bought some bottles of water next door to take back to the hotel which were only 1 Euro for a tall bottle. read more

Be prepare to be taken advantage of if you are a tourist Pros: decent food, nice outdoor dining Cons: I ordered the set dinner for 18 euro and "large house wine" the server stated our house wine is a a very nice chianti. He open the bottle once again told us how good the wine is. I always assume house wine comes in a pitcher but since it was open I started to enjoy the wine. Fast forward to the bill and the wine was 23 euros!!! More then the meal I ate. I have no issue purchasing the wine had it been recommended (I am on vacation so splurging is expected) instead of a bate and switch. They did the same with the bread. It's 1 euro per person and it's presented as compliments of the house. I notice tables speaking Italian did not have bread basket as only English and other tourist speaking different languages all had bread on the table. Even though the food was decent the way they take advantage of tourist left a bad taste in my mouth. Would not recommend this restaurant. Spend and splurge at another place that is not so shady. 2 star solely for the food. read more

We had to wait a little while for a large table to free up, but it was a nice evening so we stood on the sidewalk chatting, and eventually we were brought glasses of sparkling wine. If you are living in the Termini neighborhood there are a lot of choices to eat at, but spend some time to visit this place. A lot of locals eats there, food is delicious, portions are gigantic, coffee is wonderful, desserts (there are not so many of them) are tasty and fresh. My husband and I had a very nice meal here this evening. There are MANY restaurants in the area, and we were drawn to this one by the very friendly, English speaking employee at the outdoor seating area, and the extensive menu. (Some restaurants focus on pizza. Undoubtedly pizza has a place, but some times a full meal is wanted.). I had the grilled mixed fish, which included a whole fish (something like walleye or pickerel in the U.S.), two large prawns, swordfish, a soft shelled crab, and two small langostinos. (See picture.) All were good, and the fish was very easily skinned and boned, yet perfectly done and moist. Had artichokes on the side (just ok), a glass of complimentary sparkling wine, and a VERY DELICIOUS tartufo nocciola for dessert. My husband had the filet of beef, which was medium rare. He loved it. Insalata misto on the side for him (just ok) and chocolate mousse for dessert. He was happy. Portions were large. Many people around us didn't order antipasto nor side dishes. The staff let you linger as long as you wanted, but when we signaled for the bill "il conto", we got it in less than 3 minutes. They did not include a service charge ("serviso") and made it clear they did not expect a tip. Processed my credit card right at our table. We'd go back. read more

Other reviews talk about this place inflating bills. I didn't run into that, but there were few items on the bill. It seems that the menu they put on the table is not as extensive as the one outside, but I could be wrong. The dishes my wife and I had, pizza and polenta with baccala, and grilled vegetables were simple, but OK. I don't like a place that won't serve tap water, but did like the complementary glasses of white sparkling wine. Our waiter was friendly and spoke good english. We were pleased that they gladly boxed some of the pizza to go. The hours were convenient for us, as we like to dine really early, unlike the locals. read more

I really liked this place. They made room for our party of 5 in the back and while the waiter didn't speak much English he was helpful and good. The menu seemed more varied than any other place we went to. They had the standard pizza and pasta, but also had a bunch of interesting soups, risotto choices, and other items. Great prices: about 8-12 Euros per item. I had the lentil soup to start, and my wife the chickpea soup. Mine was very good and flavorful. The house wine was cheap and good. We had 2 orders of the risotto al parmigiana and it was delicious. Great texture, not too firm and not much, and good flavor. My son had their fettuccine with boar and it was really good. read more
