Instructions and demos were fantastic and it was very helpful. They even took photos and sent them to us - super high quality effort and care here! Some things to note: I took the free intro class and I appreciate their desire to get aerial yoga to a wider population but it was a bit salesy. There was probably 5 minutes of class scheduled and styles before class started and then ended with maybe 5 minutes of promotions. They weren't pushy but it was a good chunk of time. Here's the biggest takeaway - Aerial yoga is NOT for you if you get nauseous or sea sick easily. I got a bit uncomfortable but was able to push through. My partner had to respectfully leave as the first Savasana in the silk dangling there already made him sick - and left him sick for 2 hours after. It's not the studio's fault - but just a note to everyone. Secondly - you do have to have some mobility already for this. It's tough flipping from your back to your stomach inside the silk - it's tough to pull your own weight up and down to leverage yourself. So if you have little strength or mobility - this should not be your method to go get it. There's plenty of other yoga and Pilates (not on silk and in the air) classes that i haven't tried so this is just a review for the intro class. In short - awesome care and service - super clean and cool but just know it's not for everyone!

My kid doesn't want to go there anymore. But I still had extra classes I paid. So I gave few weeks breaks and we also had vacations. After we are back from vacation, I tried to sign up for the next class but it shows that I need to pay the fee. And I called them and explained what happened and the lady said it clearly showed that it only valid for a month and it's been 5 weeks so it's been disappeared. So I said to her that it's my first time and I went to vacations for 2 weeks so I was wondering if I can take her back. And she said she can switch it to single classes but I need to pay new balances. So I asked her what does that mean and she said I purchased 4 classes before and it was cheaper than single classes. So I still have 2 more classes left and I need to pay $14 more They are too strict for the money they have No Mercy. Usually other places are less strict even they have policies and regulations. I am not the person who doesn't care their policies. The lady who even yelled to me that it shows clearly that it only valid for a month. They are not nice and helpful. I am not taking my girl anymore even I have 2 more classes to take her. I am so DISAPPOINTED

Can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review but I love this studio. I'll start with my…read morefavorite part: the instructors. I've tried classes with three different instructors now. Each of them are encouraging and challenging while also recognizing individual needs. They all do a great job of crafting combos that are appropriate for the level while providing options for modification. And they're all so sweet and kind! It's the kind of place I look forward to going to because the community and the classes are wonderful. The studio itself is a little small but folks are always willing to share poles as needed (although it's rarely the case that it's necessary). There are plenty of crash pads, mats, and yoga blocks so I feel safe and supported while working out here. The only thing I don't love is sometimes parking can be a pain, but it's worth it. Excited to continue my pole journey here!

It was her first…read moreexperience with any kind of gymnastics, and, honestly, I selected this particular class because it was cheapest in OC. Previously, my daughter tried ballet and dropped it in one month because "it was boring". Ruby's classes were anything but boring: serious workout, new impressive tricks every time, chance to be a part of performance. My daughter simply loved it! I was very much impressed by low price, small class sizes and my daughter progress. In just two month she built such abdominal muscles that allowed her to do 100 sit-ups easily. She always had weak arms, but now she can do front and back walkovers and a handstand. I liked Ruby's "warm up" routine so much, that started to do it myself at home, it is great for getting back in shape. Ruby's and Luca's enthusiasm and passion to their work are superb. You rarely will be able to meet teaches who make a class longer for no additional charge because they are really trying to help a student or simply being carried away. Did you ever take children to summer camps? Then you shall know about penalty for every minute of the late pick up. First day at Ruby Karen summer camp I was 5 minutes late and was preparing apology in advance. When I run into the gym, I found my daughter preparing for the upcoming performance and Ruby kindly asked me to wait for a few minutes so they can work on some elements! She was apologizing for taking time and doing extra work, and she was there all morning! And shall I really tell that OC Great Park performance was a highlight of this summer for my daughter and many other kids? Since Dance Asylum is located pretty far from my house, I always was staying in the room during my daughter's classes and never noticed a single inappropriate word or action. I do not remember a single class starting late or being cancelled on the short notice. Luca is my daughter's favorite person and, I noticed, all children simply love him. Both, Ruby and Luca are strongly focused on safety and even I, a mother, sometimes would get feeling that they are a little too attentive. In the matter of fact, I am certain now that aerial arts, if thought properly, are much safer than regular gymnastics. I also feel that for some children, performing arts can become much healthier physical activity than competitive sport. My daughter participated in two performances so far, and during these events every child is a winner. Ruby is amazing choreographer and she designed beautiful routine for every skill level. Ruby is very professional, extremely patient and encouraging teacher. I recommended Ruby Karen project to all my friends. I am very certain that her classes can be great experience for children of any age or physical shape. I would give her 6 stars if there was such option ))

CircAsana is the absolute BEST!!!…read more Not only are their classes challenging, fun, and unique, but the way that they blend yoga, positive psychology and circus/aerials is such an amazing combination. Their focus on mindfulness as well as artistry is super different than any other studio that I've ever been to. Saffron is the most amazing yoga, aerial and movement teacher, not to mention the most adorable, kind, funny and caring person! I haven't met Amy in person yet, but her effervescent personality, knowledge, kind and positive demeanor, skill, caring and supportive nature are outstanding. They form a truly amazing duo. I am in the middle of an online YTT with Saffron and Amy and am loving every moment. The coursework is carefully developed with personality and flare, they truly have created a brand that knits together the concepts of yoga, circus and positive psychology in a way that connects the dots, The CircAsana YTT encourages a deep understanding of all of these topics, showing that they are so interconnected and complimentary, and reinforcing of each other. I have learned so much about yoga theory & practice, my body, and my SELF by completing the coursework. Only being halfway through, his YTT really has had a huge (positive!) impact not only on my body and teaching capabilities, but my self love, self understanding and spiritual journey. The online platform is easy to navigate and super user-friendly. The course load is challenging, yet achievable with my busy life and 40+ hour work schedule. I will continue to learn from CircAsana with future training opportunities and I would give CircAsana 500 million starts if I could! I think it would be more helpful if one of the staff explained to us what was needed because I would have to ask things like if we needed our shoes or socks on or if we needed to place a mat down, otherwise, there were no instructions on setup. Music was quite loud so it was a bit hard to hear instructions. I would have preferred having the instructor show us the move she wanted us to do and then do it with us because some exercises we could not remember what next steps were and we were kind of just standing there in pain not knowing how to undo the hammocks lol. The class was fun and the instructor was friendly though and I think it's a great place to try something new!
