The Merritt on Boston street, in White Marsh and on Joppa are where I will be training.

I was able to reach her on my 3rd attempt calling the gym. I left her 2 messages. She finally got back to me 30 min later and left me a voicemail saying that her phone ran out of battery and needed to be charged. She said I still needed to update my cc even though it had already been done. Customer service meaning management is horrible. The gym it's self is fine and the staff members are also fine. But if you have an issue & need to speak with someone, I would definitely not recommend her!!!

I had been to other gyms in the past utilizing personal trainers but for some reason nothing ever seemed to stick with me. After meeting with the owner Jeff he created a plan for me to use for the spring of 2015 through now starting with a base build phase and ending with dumbbell work. Because I lived about an hour from Momentum I met with Jeff a few times before beginning the program to establish a baseline and to make sure my form was correct before going off on my own. Over the past year the workouts got harder and harder but Jeff was there every step of the way by either reviewing proper form with me, tweaking the workout if equipment was not available, and most importantly the positive attitude which seems to be infectious. A year later and I have gained 15 lbs of muscle, measuring 37 inches of additional mass in my arms, chest, legs, and hips in addition to strength and endurance. In the past the hardest part of the workout process has always been finding motivation to complete an exercise let alone a 52 week program. But Jeff some how got everything to "click" for me and I found the workouts to be a challenge that I had to accomplish. I've only been attending the gym for a couple of weeks, but I love it. Since the gym is in a more…read morerural setting, most of the members are local and the group seems intimate and kind. The members are also a variety of ages and fitness levels. I first enrolled in the prep course and Maria worked with me at a time that was convenient to my schedule. She went through different exercises and made sure I had proper form. I have only been to the CrossFit classes, but after each time I am go, I leave feeling good and ready to take on the day. You sign up through Zen planner to secure your spot and then just show up! The equipment is in good condition and the owners have put out spray bottles and cloth for wiping down the equipment when you're done. What I really love is that the coaches walk around and give you pointers and tips; they're not just cheerleaders encouraging you to do more and push harder. I'm happy I signed up and am excited to see how my fitness level improves!

I have been here a few times, it has some good and some bad qualities. First I will start with…read morewhat's good. They have convenient hours and just able everything you need. Plenty of free weights, cardio equipment, smith machines, a basketball court, and even a pool with three lanes. You can definitely get a good work out in. It's very spacious so even when it's busy you don't feel like you are right on top of everyone. Now for the bad. The parking lot is always packed and hectic. It's often not as clean as I would prefer. Looks like the staff tries to keep up but with it being so busy it's not surprising that they can't given the small number of employees I see there. Locker rooms are the worst. Every time I come I don't even want to change in there. All the lockers are usually dirty and always water all over the floor. Basketball court is always packed. I thinks it's the busiest area. The staff there is always friendly and helpful. I do not attend the classes and haven't tried their training services.
