If you look at most large gyms with a marketing crew, they always use bold and bright colors; not dull and dingy colors. The former owner had a nice yellow/gold tone that went well with the rest of the gym--see pics that show this on website. The wood counters clash with the baby blue. Other than the ugly color, the gym is same as it was before. A good amount of nautilus equipment and cardio for a decent workout. Hopefully the audio equipment for the machines will be replaced. They used to have a distorted sound and you had to plug in your headphones just right. I have not listened to them since re-joining, but it's the same old stuff there. The soap dispenser doesn't work. There are signs in the bathroom (near the two urinals that are out of order) that say, "Wash your hands 'after' you leave the restroom." How is that possible. Should one wash hands BEFORE leaving the restroom? These are just a few examples of the lack of attention to detail management invests in this "gym."

I had been to other gyms in the past utilizing personal trainers but for some reason nothing ever seemed to stick with me. After meeting with the owner Jeff he created a plan for me to use for the spring of 2015 through now starting with a base build phase and ending with dumbbell work. Because I lived about an hour from Momentum I met with Jeff a few times before beginning the program to establish a baseline and to make sure my form was correct before going off on my own. Over the past year the workouts got harder and harder but Jeff was there every step of the way by either reviewing proper form with me, tweaking the workout if equipment was not available, and most importantly the positive attitude which seems to be infectious. A year later and I have gained 15 lbs of muscle, measuring 37 inches of additional mass in my arms, chest, legs, and hips in addition to strength and endurance. In the past the hardest part of the workout process has always been finding motivation to complete an exercise let alone a 52 week program. But Jeff some how got everything to "click" for me and I found the workouts to be a challenge that I had to accomplish. The coaches are top notch. They take the time to make sure your form is correct and motivate you to keep improving each time. The members there are down to earth and genuinely want to see you succeed. The owners of the gym are amazing and it shows in how the gym in run. They are always investing in new things to make the gym even better. For example, when covid hit, they installed sanitizing machines to kill any germs and make the gym even safer than before. I now love to workout and consider these people to be my family. Check in out! No matter what your fitness level, you will feel right at home! You'll be glad you went!
