    Missing tile. Exposed insulation

The gym is ok. However, the building is constantly having issues. Water problems/ showers. The biggest concern I have is with the spin studio. I reported a missing ceiling tile months ago. There is insulation exposed. And when you get a large number of people huffing and puffing on spin bike's you can be sure that you're breathing some of that in. I've notified the front desk and the manager multiple times. I've also alerted the instructor. I really enjoy spin class. It's been 2 months since I reported this. Still no fix.. so beware of utilizing that room

I use the gym facilities (including the eGym system which is very cool), and we have thought about taking advantage of some of the childcare options they offer like "parents night out" The place hasn't changed a ton since it first opened. The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

I often come here with individuals with special needs and both the staff and members look and treat them like they're absolutely disgusted. You'd think an area known for its money would have class. Unfortunately, from my experiences here; that is the furthest from the truth. Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. YMCA, you have disappointed myself and many others within my community. Do better.

Our family tradition is giving socks for the holidays, and my son suggested I get Pure Barre socks for his wife. Lacking any other specifics (except I know she LOVES pink), I wandered into Pure Barre and was immediately greeted warmly. I was assisted in determining size and they searched for (and found!) the elusive pink ones I wanted. I was warmly invited to come for a class, and my decline to their offer was accepted politely. I can only imagine that their regulars are treated as awesome as I was!

It hits every single muscle, and the emotional benefits are just as amazing. In terms of this studio, I've had nothing but positive encounters with every single instructor (all with their own unique style), and the vibe in the studio is extremely energizing. From the moment I walk in the door, I'm greeted with a smile, and feel as if I'm entering a party where I won't have to be afraid to sit in the corner! I would definitely recommend Pure Barre - and this place in particular if you are close to CNY. It's easy to get to, parking is ample, and it's very convenient.

I can tell you as an unlimited member now for two years, my first thought couldn't have done Glow any less justice. Firstly, there's much more than "just hot yoga" (aka Power Flow), the studio offers Yin, Restorative, Slow Flow, and Foundational Classes (great for beginners as well as seasoned yogis to improve their practice). However, as a Power Fow enthusiast myself, I can be the first to tell you, I never get "bored" of doing the "same thing". Glow's Baptiste style yoga is a moving mediation, a different experience in your body everyday you practice, and a distinct vibe with every instructor who leads you. Glow is more than a great place for sweat or stretch, it's a place where you're greeted with smiling faces, can find community, and walk through the doors as you are and leave feeling better than you did coming in. I go everyday not only because I get to go, but because this place has become an integral part of my self care -- both physical and mental.

Class was $25 drop in and $5 for mat rental (came from out of town but otherwise would have brought a mat) for 75 minutes (~60 minutes more intense with a warm up and cool down stretch time for the rest. Had me sweating, engaging my muscle groups, and feeling refreshed by the end. There is also a cafe with coffee and smoothies plus a shop with exercise fits and yoga mats/towels for sale. Neatly curated. I was a bit surprised the class was led by an instructor who just dictated the flow rather than demoed the flow. Probably fine for those familiar but a bit in accessible for newbies. Usually like when instructors demo the movements and also offer alternates to make a position more advanced or more beginner friendly to meet different needs. I think that would be a nice way to improve the class but otherwise it was a good class.

It is not a usual situation at Metro Fitness due to the pandemic but Terrance made sure I knew where I was going. What made Chris' class so great was her explanations, sharing of belts for some stretches and how she presented as a very composed, knowledgeable instructor. What brought me to your Janesville-Dewitt Metro Fitness was the classes led by Shawna down at Clinton Square. Although Chris and Shawna had different styles, both were welcoming, enthusiastic in a calm way, and made me want to come back for more classes! In fact, I paid Terrance 20 dollars instead of 10 because I wanted to pay for the next class ahead. As a special education teacher, the summers can get tight financially. I value your site, your personnel and their commitment. I look forward to Metro Fitness renewing a permit to do yoga again at Clinton Square (much closer for me being from Liverpool) and the outdoor venue is amazing. Thank you for your free classes in previous weeks and if you have any deals or specials in the future please don't hesitate to contact me. Dan Johnson
