I've only been to.. 3 tattoo shops and this one is by far the best. But they were over a decade ago so sanitary standards have changed. The whole place is inside a cozy little home, converted into a designer place of business. I love it. Adorable. Jimi was there with his girlfriend, also adorable couple and very well mannered. Mine only had 3 colors, black, red and dots of white all in texts. Came out exactly like what I provided. Jimi has a very cool style, Japanese mixed with Chinese, but also versatile. Love his work on the wall. The response time on yelp is really fast. Either Jimi or Jude. And you'll get an appointment and seen as scheduled. If I had social media they'd be tagged. And so far my arm feels very normal and the colors are vibrant.

I gave it a shot then and now I'm a full convert to the SB name! They are many things that a lot of shops are not. They aren't pushy, they are honest, and respectful in every sense of the word. They will respect what you want as long as it is safe and will save you money when they can. Their jewelry is just as great as 23rd's, but far more reasonably priced, and you can trust what you buy is what they say it is! They are quick while still being efficient in their work, when it gets busier. I'd say my overall favorite thing about this place is the honesty. They won't push you to buy something else just because they will make more money. If you bring your own jewelry, they will happily pierce you with it as long as it's quality and the right style for what you want. Every trip I've made here has been a positive one! Eventually we got our tattoos my husbands healed up nicely. Mine ended up with an infection. The gentleman who tattooed me was absolutely killing me on the shading. This wasn't my first tattoo. So the care for it wasn't the issue. But I can't 100% say the tattooer was at fault. It is the first tattoo I have ever had get infected and I had 15 tattoos before this new one. I loved the tattoo it's what I wanted minus the infection. Which did cause the color no to stay in the tattoo. I contacted the individual about my tattoo being infected. I wanted a tattoo on my left inner-forearm that was all written in a foreign language (Hebrew). While the design I requested was not intricate in terms of detail or color, it was incredibly intricate in that all of the text is so unlike our English letters. His work was fantastic. Knowing that I'd found the right place, I came back this week for a tat I wanted on my other inner-forearm. This design was very, very complex. I had a mock-up of the design I wanted and gave it to Chad. Understand this, Chad is old-school, and designs his tats by sketching them out free-hand. He made many suggestions during the process, and was receptive of the several requests I made. Because this particular design was so complex, Chad invested additional time in developing his sketch because, as he said, "This is forever." I've been inked in Dallas, Miami, and Los Angeles, and was a tad reluctant about OKC talent; no more. Honestly, Chad's work is better than any of my other tattoos. I have already referred a family member to go to Hard Luck Tattoos, so I hope you believe me when I say that you won't find a better group of artists to work with, anywhere. If I could describe one word about this place, It would definitely be overrated because a lot of these so-called piercing technicians are actually not legit! I got my bellybutton piercing done here three months ago and I've been taking care of it nonstop doing daily cleaning care on it and showering. But it got infected and kept getting infected overtime even after cleaning it several times throughout the day. Turns out that the person who did my piercing did it super uneven and made it diagonal instead of straight, and because of that, it's a lot more difficult to clean it properly. Me and my boyfriend politely asked if we could have a refund and they denied our request and said that they could pierce it again once it's healed (not for free). I've been in excruciating pain because of this bs And they can't even refund 90$ back to me Bs. :/ I don't recommend whatsoever.

I will not lie, it was painful, but it was fast and totally worth it. My youngest came with me, and really enjoyed Amanda's office. I'm mentioning this part in case you're a mother or father with young children, because well-behaved kids are able to stay in the piercing room with you. This is a professional tattoo and piercing studio where they use a needle instead of a piercing gun. Way more cleaner and way more professional.
