I have to give a special shoutout to Obie. She is honestly the reason I keep my membership active. Her classes truly challenge you, but in the best way. They push you, encourage you, and somehow make you appreciate yourself and all the hard work you've put in. Obie is genuinely such a huge motivation. Her well-being, her demeanor, the way she carries herself, and the way she teaches really inspire you to be better. She's a true inspiration. After my very first class with her, I walked straight to the front desk and signed up for a membership. Every class feels like you're transforming your life for the better. She reminds you that your best is truly enough, no matter what, and that mindset has stayed with me beyond the gym. And the community that comes with it is just as special. I'm naturally a little shy, but the ladies here have truly helped me come out of my shell. Now I find myself wishing everyone a good morning when I walk in, even if I don't know them. They're always the first to offer advice or helpful tips when you're trying a new class, and they're just so kind and encouraging. I'm so grateful I found this place. I absolutely love it.

I can get them in the same class at the same time as long as they are swimming at the same level. Our girls have been in the water their entire lives as we have a pool. Even so last year they didn't like being splashed or getting their faces wet. This year they are getting their faces wet and they have our little one swimming down to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. The both are able to float on their backs for 30 seconds. They do a fabulous job here. This year their teachers are Mr. Kyle and Miss. Ella. and Miss. Liz. They had Miss. Ella last year and adore her. Mr. Kyle and Miss. Liz do a great job as well. They missed Mr. Cooper this year. Our girls are late bloomers as swimmers, but even if they swam like fish they would never be alone by a pool or unsupervised. Not being pros at their age does not concern me. They are amazing and doing great. Everyone has their special gifts. They are getting better every week. The recreation center will notify you if lessons are canceled due to weather. They don't do lessons if lightening is within 10 miles. They will call, email and post on their Facebook page if they need to cancel. The gal who runs the office is a sweetie. We definately will be back next year. I wear a lot of hats and I think it is a treat for them to have others to guide and teach them.

Rental rates were basically the same as the competitors - slightly higher since we went on a weekend (as I recall, a some other places didn't charge extra for that). But I preferred to pay a little more and go with a place that didn't seem super sketchy - the Yelp reviews and BBB rating put my mind at ease, and the owner was always quick to answer calls. Altogether had a blast at Lake Pleasant! Will rent here again next time I'm in the area and need some high speed entertainment.

We also noticed an additional open lot next to the garage where you can park for free; however, it is gated and the surface is mostly dirt and rocks, so just something to keep in mind. One thing we didn't come across was a public restroom, so it's unclear where the nearest one is located. Overall, it's a great area to visit and enjoy events. My only suggestion would be to add more parking options or provide a designated free parking area for visitors, so not everyone has to pay for parking.

During this time I saw no change in skill or ability from this class. He didn't particularly enjoy it either. It seemed that the front desk assistant frequently taught the class which started late and ended early regularly. My son benefited from the Young Rembrandt's program at his school more than this program and YR, for the most part, just taught him how to shade. So the bar wasn't set extremely high. This school also requires a registration fee ($60) to even try any of the classes and also requires a credit card on file which they cannot update except in person. There isn't any online account management.. They don't allow for over the phone changes and their withdrawal policy is also very strict so we ended up paying for a month we didn't want. They also sent my credit card information entire number, expiration date, ccv code, address and full name (!) in clear text VIA EMAIL unencrypted which is very very horrendous security policy for a company who requires this information be provided. They are not obviously not PCI compliant so I'd be wary of providing them this information. They aren't particularly nice or friendly either. We won't be back.

I witnessed multiple children putting toys in their mouths (which is totally normal for kids), but what was concerning was that those same toys were often placed right back into shared play areas. While I later learned there is a designated bin for toys that have been in kids' mouths, this wasn't communicated upfront, and I didn't see it being consistently used or enforced. There also seemed to be inconsistency when it came to staff involvement. Across my two visits, I did see some staff members actively cleaning up and returning toys to their proper places, which I appreciated. However, I also observed others simply picking up toys and dropping them into corners of the rooms without any real organization or sanitizing. I completely understand that keeping up with kids is a challenge--I'm a parent too--but that's where consistent staff engagement becomes really important. Another issue was the level of parental supervision. Many parents were on their phones while their kids played freely. Again, that's ultimately a parenting responsibility, but in a shared environment like this, it contributes to the overall hygiene and safety concerns. I also want to mention that I found the staff presentation a bit unprofessional, which added to the overall impression that things weren't being closely managed. To be fair, you do sign a waiver regarding illness, and I understand that no play space can be completely germ-free. However, I did end up contracting chickenpox exactly 10 days after visiting, which makes me seriously question the effectiveness of their cleaning and sanitizing practices. Overall, this place is incredibly cute and full of potential. With more consistent staff involvement, clearer communication, better sanitization systems, and encouragement for parents to stay engaged, it could be an amazing environment. Right now, though, it falls short of what it could and should be.

While my experience at the Goodyear location was initially positive, I quickly became concerned about the lack of professionalism demonstrated by management. One of the most troubling issues was discovering that employee write-ups had been issued with my name listed as the manager responsible, despite my not being present and not having the authority to issue disciplinary actions. This occurred on two separate occasions. I also became aware of employees' personal matters through management discussions rather than from the employees themselves, which raised concerns about professionalism and confidentiality in the workplace. Additionally, I witnessed behavior from the general manager that appeared to create unnecessary conflict between team members, including attempts to foster tension between myself and a lead employee. This contributed to a negative and uncomfortable work environment. Unfortunately, what began as an enjoyable workplace quickly became a hostile and stressful environment. Due to these ongoing concerns regarding leadership, professionalism, and workplace culture, my overall experience at this location was disappointing. The favoritism shown by the general manager toward certain employees was difficult to ignore and created concerns about fairness and accountability in the workplace. For example, one employee left the back door unlocked overnight, creating a serious security issue. On another occasion, the same employee assigned tips to an individual who was not even working the shift in question, yet no apparent corrective action was taken. I also repeatedly raised concerns regarding a staff member who was consistently late for shifts and often failed to call ahead. When I was the manager on duty, these attendance issues directly affected operations and made managing the shift more difficult. Despite bringing these concerns forward, they appeared to go unaddressed. Another troubling incident occurred when the general manager stated that he planned to have his girlfriend, who was not employed by the company, come into the workplace to observe employees and report back to him. This raised significant concerns regarding professionalism and appropriate management practices. Additionally, when I became ill and needed to call out of work, I was later informed by another employee that the general manager was upset because my absence interfered with his plans to celebrate his six-month anniversary with his girlfriend. I found this response unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly given that my absence was due to illness. Overall, these experiences contributed to an environment where concerns were not addressed consistently and professional standards were not always upheld. read more

Everything started all good until a girl called me fat and slow and she lied to her parents saying that i grabbed her little brother by the waist when we were just all fighting for the ball. Park has lots of shade around the play area. Sun sails are on top of the playground itself. Sails didn't provide much shade early in the morning. Temperature was in the low 70's, so we didn't mind. Play structures were in good condition. My youngest enjoyed playing there. The splash pad is located next to the park. I could see the area getting very busy on hot days. Not as much shade around the splash area. Lots of shaded parking around the park. Parking is shared with the police department and YMCA. There was still plenty of parking while we were there. The fields are also utilized by The Y for their sports programs. The only reason to not give the park 5 stars is the amount of trash. We were there on a Saturday morning. There before any games, before any other people really came. The trash cans were overflowing with trash. There was also lots of trash around the parking lot. Otherwise, Gateway is a wonderful community park.

Super fun, affordable, and family friendly. I love that they offer rental vest and have a snack…read morebar. They are also kind enough to allow outside food and drink. Our big kids loved the slide and our toddler loved the play area. We love the walk in feature of the pool, great feature for different abilities. I do wish they would consider removing the lap lanes during open swim to allow people to spread out more in the pool. Otherwise great time and great staff!
