I've been coming to the Goodyear Recreation Center for about a year now, and it has truly become a lifestyle for me. What started as buying a simple day pass, just trying to get active again after a few years, turned into something that completely changed my routine and mindset. I have to give a special shoutout to Obie. She is honestly the reason I keep my membership active. Her classes truly challenge you, but in the best way. They push you, encourage you, and somehow make you appreciate yourself and all the hard work you've put in. Obie is genuinely such a huge motivation. Her well-being, her demeanor, the way she carries herself, and the way she teaches really inspire you to be better. She's a true inspiration. After my very first class with her, I walked straight to the front desk and signed up for a membership. Every class feels like you're transforming your life for the better. She reminds you that your best is truly enough, no matter what, and that mindset has stayed with me beyond the gym. And the community that comes with it is just as special. I'm naturally a little shy, but the ladies here have truly helped me come out of my shell. Now I find myself wishing everyone a good morning when I walk in, even if I don't know them. They're always the first to offer advice or helpful tips when you're trying a new class, and they're just so kind and encouraging. I'm so grateful I found this place. I absolutely love it. read more

We are so fortunate to live near this park. It's new, clean, and has wonderful variety of things for kids and adulta of all ages to do. There's plenty of parking, and a lot of the playground areas are covered for the warmer weather. There are picnic tables to enjoy lunch while visiting and sinks with eynning water. This area can also be rented out for birthday parties. The design of the park is so nice. There's plenty of paved walkways that I push my younger grandson on around while my older grandson's playing on the playground equipment. This Recreation Center also has volleyball courts, fields for soccer and t-ball. There's also a Aquatic Center adjacent to the actual park. People also play Pickleball and Tennis here. The park is always immaculate. I've never seen one piece of trash and I've been there numerous times. There are multiple restrooms that are available and they are always clean. I've enjoyed this park so much and all of the kids that I've ever observed here are having the best time. read more

Four stars! My family and I enjoy visiting the Goodyear Recreation Center. We've found it to be a solid spot for getting active. The indoor track is a huge plus, especially on hot Arizona days when running outside just isn't an option. It's well-maintained and provides a great space to get a few miles in. The workout equipment is decent, though it could use an update. You'll find what you need for a basic workout, but don't expect the latest and greatest machines. Still, it gets the job done. The center also offers a variety of family activities. While they're not always thrilling, they provide a good way to spend some quality time together. Overall, it's a very good recreation center with a standout feature in its indoor track. It's a reliable and valuable community resource. read more

My family and I love this park! There's so much to do for adults and children alike. Between the pickle ball courts, various playground areas, the actual rec campus, and the pool, there's never a dull moment. It's simply exceptional what the city has built for its citizens. read more

My friends and I went to play pickleball and the courts became packed so we moved over to the tennis courts and waited for one of them to be open. Not 5 min into us finally being able to play 2 people a guy and a young girl came to play and tried to kick us off the courts and we said we had just waited and got the court so we wanted to play. They ended up calling the complex and the complex made us move off of the court instead of making the other people wait. It was really annoying since it's a park and we were just trying to have a good time and we waited our turn but they didn't have to. The tennis courts do have pickleball lines on them. read more

We love taking our Grands to swim at the pool and water features! They are careful when allowing entry into the building. and everyone is pleasant. The lifeguards are great l! Very observant and well trained. I also would like to start exercising soon! read more

As I entered into the big box building, I was so impressed by how beautiful and clean it was kept. There was an event going on for kids, which I'll have to come back and check out, but I was there for a dance practice. The facility is so pristine and everyone was so welcoming and helpful getting me to the right place. The fitness room holds about 35 of us comfortably and I was surprised I didn't get muggy. This campus has a great facility with a lot of offerings like softball fields , basketball courts , pickleball tennis and a huge field used as football and soccer fields as well as 2 sand volleyball courts. I don't use all the facilities here but I do use the sand courts and really wish they would fix the nets as they are tearing and the cords holding up the nets are in such bad condition you can't even raise the nets up from sagging down hopefully they get these fixed because these courts are great to use and use to be in pristine shape. read more

Very cute and updated park! They have plenty of things for all ages and some things that are accessible for disabled kiddos. The hills are very steep so that may be an issue for some but if not it's great exercise. read more

In the peak summer months, this location tends to get very crowded, prioritizing Goodyear residents. Nevertheless, there is a wide array of activities available, and my family has frequently taken pleasure in utilizing both the Rec Center and outdoor recreational spaces. Clean facility and it has nice options for a community center. Pool area is beautiful as well.

The amenities are super, and some of the guests are great. However, out of the 14 times I have been here, the lap lane has only been enforced once. The parents actually encourage their kids to play and dive bomb in the lap lane even though there are water slides, a lazy River, 90% of the pool and all the diving boards reserved for them. Twice when I finished my swim, my towel and sandals are not where I put them. The first time, they were tucked into someone else's belongings. Today, I found that one of the parents had shoved my towel underneath the bleachers so she could neatly line up her children's snacks and belongings on the bleachers. I'm about sick and tired of being treated like nothing... if people could just respect each other this would be so much nicer! read more

I think I found a new happy place for my family and me!! I made sure to reserve a spot online to enjoy the aquatics area. When I checked in with my Littles the customer service desk made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions with a smile . The locker room was CLEAN no stinky smell or nasty floors!! The lockers was clean as well! The locker room was spacious with plenty of bathroom stalls and showers. I made my was to the toddler splash pool and it was plenty of room for all the enjoy! Next, my family and I went to the lazy River, it was a hit!! The lifeguards are very helpful and on top of things My oldest enjoyed the water slide and they kept the line moving! I can't wait to go back I really enjoyed myself and so did my family! read more

What a beautiful park. This location is huge and offers to many things from sand volleyball to pickleball as well as basketball and huge fields for baseball and soccer. This recreational campus also includes a pool/water park but the water features area currently for Goodyear residents only. Their website does say they may start offering other day passes to neighboring people some time in the future. My youngest kids are preteens and they loved it. It's got not only smaller player areas for he young kids; it has a lot of fun for the older age groups as well. My kids loved the spinning equipment and zip lines. There were handicap accessible swings as well as regular so this park really can be for everyone. I loved that there was ample sidewalks for exercise. The grass was well kept, area very clean, plenty of benches and tables with some covered. The bathrooms were very clean, but they did have recent vandalism unfortunately they were in mid fix. Still well kept and it's a great sign the issue was taken care of quickly. My kids can't wait to come back. read more

This park was Fun and clean. Lots of cool equipment for all ages. Friendly community.

I joined because they have indoor basketball courts, but they won't let you rent them out only the outdoor courts. Why would I rent outdoor courts in 115 degree weather. The indoor track is nice. Back to the courts, they have 2 indoor courts but they force all the kids on 1 court. Literally there are like 30 kids trying to play or shoot around on 3 courts. You can not run full court on a regular basis. If they allow it it's only for 30 minutes as security and management literally do a countdown. However the volleyball court is allowed to have it's court to itself where only like 10 people occupy the whole other side of the court. I asked management and they say that's there rule. Priority is volleyball and not basketball even though they built 2 basketball courts. I also don't like the fact they have security watching only a certain type of people. Spend your money somewhere else. Management doesn't make it fair for people who like to play basketball read more

This park is tons of fun. But if you come on a week day after 3 day be ready for teenagers with foul language overtaking the park. My kids weren't able to have as much fun because they couldn't play on all the equipment and we tried to get some to share the space but they stuck around. I'm all for kids of all ages having fun if respect is shown for littler kids in the area. Unfortunately now a days this is rarely the case. Come earlier in the day and it's great otherwise don't waste your time. read more
